Best Bruises Poems
May God bless all, of the children,
and ease their mortal pain.
I trust that you have your reasons,
and this life has not been in vain.
They say that our life is a gift,
could that really be true for all?
What about incest and rape,
or the fuel driven rage of alcohol?
Many children will live their young lives,
without a hug or even a kiss.
Most of us won’t even notice,
I guess ignorance must be bliss.
Instead of passing swift judgement,
or picking up and throwing those stones.
Maybe reach out and help a child,
before the bruises and broken bones.
I was the sin you committed in the forbidden twilight
Oh darling -
We were a fever, not forever!
Yearning for a fated phantom.
A feverish temptation;
You fed me illusions, sweet as poison,
Only to shatter the blighted world we held close,
When I hungered for your poisonous embrace!
Cherry lips and empty promises.
A candle in the hurricane,
I was the perfect almost you desired -
A kiss carved in smoke.
Gone are my childish beliefs in love
That foolish faith in magic
Dreams of devotion have faded
And clarity seems to be all that's left
You're image has shifted so violently in my eyes
The man suddenly revealed in true form
I know not that those lips hold the sharpest tongue
Ready and waiting to mortally wound me with words
Those eyes would kill me if they could
Cut me down where I stand with only a glare
And those arms that once held me close
Extend to hands that forget I am soft and sweet
Fists of rage leaving me black and blue on the floor
But I'm the one to blame, not you
I couldn't see that you have been you all along
So now I have no more tears to shed
You have stolen too many and left me nearly dry
Beneath the fury of sun
Wades a wobbly nun
Stomping on thorns
Her soul burnt and torn
Scars on her skin
Carried wounds engraved
Trust, her sin
So were snakes she once craved
She sucked and spitted
Bouts of venom from her blood
Tainted by flood
Of emotions she once knitted
Silence crept loud
In the woods still stern
Moon upturns
Summoning weeping clouds
Tears unfolden
The woven maze
Outside the haze,
Lies a fern pretty golden
Threads, now vines
Adored her bruises
Illusion's penchant to divine's
Were flood sailed cruises
Time passed by,
Venom decays
Has been watching the sky
The fern now sways
There was once a hot cutie named Finch
Who was quite a flirtatious young minx
On St Pat's she shunned green
And dressed quite libertine
With ambitions of getting a pinch

The bruises are in my heart and soul
From the outside no one can see
I do everything you ask
I’m just a prisoner
You control my life
I feel worthless
Someone please
Set me
Free

Wife Cathie scared the poop out of this old guy
Went walking to get the mail, down she did slide
No broken bones
Just bruises and groans
Thanks for the help a gentleman passerby

I decided to clean the kitchen counter today but almost got knocked out after hitting myself in the head with the coffee maker. It was stuck to the counter from some spilled coffee and after pulling gently a few times I finally gave it one big yank and it let loose. Now I’m seeing stars and have 'Mr. Coffee' spelled backwards on my forehead ???? #EEFFOCRM
Let me pretend. There is no evidence in my room.
Let me rewind, and erase all sacred momentums.
Let me sprawl, my hatred and explode.
Thou doesn't want to see, the deep of the vitriol I dare not let out of me.
I'll close my face like a template for psychology.
Puzzle that'll take a lifetime and more to console.
I do not have the means to escape and provide.
To facilitate the means to grow the seed.
All that was said is left owning its own.
In the dust-bells and dire moors of all that could have been said.
Nobody warrants this love.
Nobody calls on just one.
It just echoes its tyrant as a virtue.
And confuses my wicked soul as something that if I were an alien, I'd love.
But I am full for the seed.
For the vitriol to make it this way.
And I am a scape of goat.
For the things I'll choose to let go.
But they still sing.
Like a banshee in my hay-day.
And I'll stare at you.
Like a swollen bruise.
I could patronize with that everyone already knew.
I could set a fire and turn this bruise into a scare.
I could rectify the coming changes with a steeping stone, and that I choose.
I could set a light to the gasoline that runs through these veins.
With you.
Change can scare the holiest of crowns.
On the megatons of the first Atom bomb.
In the threads of my murmurs, in the ark of my aftermath.
There will be no stories I.
This what I choose.
Somebody come and kill.
This empty shell of use.
Somebody come a choose.
To let me not dream of bruise.
No there will never be another you.
Here she come in a cloud of rage.
Who?
Violet.
Shut up, you know that’s my baby.
Hovering with her beauty as we speak.
She crazy man, she crazier than Sofia.
Monica, why show sour grapes for
my love of violet?
As a friend I have to tell you
that you sound plum, stupid.
As long as I can be her Prince.
Be her pick from all the shrub,
as music, strums.
She weeds through the fog, the haze
and with hungry eyes, see…
Ernie, you know how many
sorry saps that love Violet.
So, whine.
Throw an almost stormy fit
because you’re squished feelings are
comical to the girl with the long loosie.
Sit, calm they’re all pictured blue
for that tan, bimbo.
You mad cause she accidentally stomped on your donuts
that one time.
You dang right and how can you accidentally stomp donuts?
Well anyways for seasons as skies turn
she's always posted like she's the shine for the end of days.
Smirking at your egged face.
So plant it boy. Perp...pull back.
She don't want you.
You're not that girls primary focus.

Bruises
By: IzaDonna
Surrounded by darkness
Emotions hidden away
Bruises disguised with smiles
Never would think it
That my past still haunts me
The scars still completely cover me
I hide them so you can't see
I'm really not at all okay
Chorus
The bottles eases the pain
The dust numbs the ache
Can I ever just forgive?
Instead up building up this hate
I just want to find peace
I want my smile to be real
But its hard to do so
When I can no longer seem to feel
Frightening dreams keep me awake
Forever replaying in my mind
Life seems to be so much longer
This winding road so much harder
Can I just get a release
Beat these inner demons and be free
Or do I have to be forever cursed
With the ghosts of the past
Chorus
I look up at the stars
And close my eyes tight
Its time for last good-byes
Its time to end this tonight
I take one last chug
And fall to the ground
Take one last gasp
And then no longer make a sound
Chorus
I'm finally okay
To me, you were the charm handsome brings to view,
the emotional pull in touching love songs,
every dream I wished to never wake up from
and leading star of daydreams I composed, too.
Then, one day you called, spoke with a gusto-coo
to say I was someone you would love to know.
You asked me to be your date at a town dance
and I hoped my joy glow did not phone show!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We lived years tethered in joy love did construe.
I was happy and you loved happily, too,
but our love’s glory changed stories and turned dark
like your leather moods I grew to daily rue.
Time sowed memories with pain stitched by you.
I bear bruises time cleared long ago - so, know
my pain won't fade like moonlight on flower’s dew.
I live merged with pains from all we went through.
He still haunts my dreams both night and day
My bruises healed but the terror still stays
Numerous Flash backs of being used
So I wrote a spell just for the abused
Crocodile Tears of the insincere
Wax gathered from satanic ear
Hair from the head of a narcissist
Tongue of a falsifier, add snakes hiss
Breath of a psychopath is needed next
Blood of a fraudster to forge this hex
Beard of a coward cut at midnight
Hacked off by a witch before she takes flight
Pages from a self-help book
read by the abused now boil and cook
Now comes Saliva of a deceiving man
Toe nail clippings from a charlatan
Now stir it well , add blackened tooth
speak your words , tell your truth
Close your eyes and recall it well
Recollect his hatred and Feel it swell
Mix it now from left to right
Remembering his vicious spite
Take a breath let silence sing
Now let his own medicine ooze within
"I dedicate this poem To all the woman who have
suffered abuse emotionally and physically and to
those who have passed away as a result of abuse"
I have fought an endless war
I have been beaten to the floor
Yet you kissed me seductively
And feared me leaving you secretly
When the morning was ours we separate
For we could never honestly mate
For I was barren,forsaken,lost,fading
I couldn't bear the fruit of which you waiting
For I am bound to the pain of which I'm sealed
But born naked I stand before you and I am
healed.
Contagious are the looks, painful the cold
greetings.
Waiting for you to release your beatings.
A scratch
A bruise
A vulgar word
A bruise
A scuff
A bruise
A lie
A bruise
Listen, listen as I fall, as I hopelessly weep
For my life has taken its final leap
I weep not for my body laying there
But for the man that has to live with the conscious
Of being my murderer and leaving bare
Bruises
Ahh (sighs)..
Where to start
Oh God of the heart:
Perhaps in the birdsong
Or the crisp morning light
On this bench that is warm
And where worries take flight.
I pick up this pen
And the words tumble out
Not knowing just how to now
Cry, laugh or shout..
But with ink on the page
It is all making sense
A return to the lightness
When the walk has been dense
A rest for my soul
Even though it is fleeting
So I meet with you now
While my heart is still beating
To that tune You gave me..
A long time ago
I play it sometimes
With it's rhythm so slow.
And the whispering words
That are gentle and kindly
Close my eyes to that tune
So Your voice can remind me..
.. of love
And of hope
And of beauty and gladness
Like a spirit-filled balm
For the bruising of sadness.
And I thank You
For all that You've done
And restored.
You are a good friend and companion,
A saviour and Lord.
