Bruises

"I dedicate this poem To all the woman who have
suffered abuse emotionally and physically and to
those who have passed away as a result of abuse"

I have fought an endless war
I have been beaten to the floor
Yet you kissed me seductively
And feared me leaving you secretly
When the morning was ours we separate
For we could never honestly mate
For I was barren,forsaken,lost,fading
I couldn't bear the fruit of which you waiting
For I am bound to the pain of which I'm sealed
But born naked I stand before you and I am
healed.
Contagious are the looks, painful the cold
greetings.
Waiting for you to release your beatings.
A scratch
A bruise
A vulgar word
A bruise
A scuff
A bruise
A lie
A bruise

Listen, listen as I fall, as I hopelessly weep
For my life has taken its final leap
I weep not for my body laying there
But for the man that has to live with the conscious
Of being my murderer and leaving bare

Fake Friends

They come and go
Only take and never give
Only pretend to be someone loveable
Always turning out to be someone detestable
Always saying you can trust them
Always saying they will never leave you
Always leaving when things get too hard
Only there for the good things
Only pretending to like you
Faking to be your friend
Stabbing you behind your back
Leaning on you with their problems
Never wanting to hear yours
Only there for a brief time
Never knowing how they hurt you when they leave
Never telling the truth
Making the truth sting more
Like lemon into freshly cut wounds
Only there for interest
Not for friendship
Always leaving with a part of you
Never to give back
These selfish creatures don’t know what they leave behind
If they looked
They will see all the scars my heart has
How much my tears leaked
How my security is broken and shaken
How my trust for others diminished
They will see a little girl curling inside
Trying to hide from the pain they have inflicted

Not Who You Think

Cold sweats and desperate calls
there’s nothing left to do
the fire killed your eyes

Don’t sit and scream and yell
there’s no one here to listen to your needs
you’re trapped here in your darkness
Can you see?
I’m not who you need

[Chorus]
Can you hear? Can you see?
I Am leaving you away
Can you feel? Can you see?
I am Letting you away
Can you hear? Can you feel?
I am Not here anymore
can’t you learn? Can’t you see?
I am Not who you want from me

Letting go of all you had once
and let me be alone in your heart
this is true, but I don’t want you
no no nooo
can’t you see?
I'm not who you need

[Chorus]
Can you hear? Can you see?
I Am leaving you away
Can you feel? Can you see?
I am Letting you away
Can you hear? Can you feel?
I am Not here anymore
can’t you learn? Can’t you see?
I am Not who you want from me

I know that this is not fair
but my heart is lost
it’s torn apart
this love is killing me
can’t you see?
I’m not who you need

[Chorus]
Can you hear? Can you see?
I Am leaving you away
Can you feel? Can you see?
I am Letting you away
Can you hear? Can you feel?
I am Not here anymore
can’t you learn? Can’t you see?
I am Not who you want from me

Lies of a Loss

Going away,
I take one last look behind,
But I can't believe those precious days
Were never more than lies.
I'm locking all,
Burying my memories inside,
Maybe I've become so heartless,
But I'm leaving love behind.
I'm leaving you alone -
Figure out your lonesome life,
Answer all the questions yourself,
But don't drown in your lies.
Draw the dots above
All your letters "i" and live,
But you'll never know love
If only for love you can't forgive.
Swallow your last words -
I'm not interested in them;
In front of you is loneliness,
But you will blame yourself.
Candles are going out -
With them trust, devotion fade...
On your side were they illusions?
How could a heart pretend?
At the edge of hope
Watch my recent dreams come by,
I feel so empty and lonely -
Wonder if those dreams were mine.
Everything that's left
Is my life, inside it burns,
It's the greatest will to live
No matter how my road turns.
I'm still thankful for that flame,
I'll remember you for it,
I'll remember you for lies you told me
And then I believed...
Throwing to your face
My last hope, I leave...
