Best Breathes Poems
Some lives are like a stone quickly skipping over the ponds top, forever tossed.
My life is below the surface trying to reach upward with each breathe lost.
But there is still beauty, deep down here in the great depths below…
For the solitude holds me in its grip as I dwell with what I know.
My occasional trips to the surface leave me vastly wanting more…
Still, my life below the surface doesn’t scare me as it did, once before.
And the breaths will come when given, as my life continues to flow.
True it is dark but beauty lingers, everywhere the currents move below.
At times, the surface reflections seem surreal, as if it’s a place not to go.
Comfort comes more and more to my soul, as the deeper I glide below.
Here I dwell within myself, with words, and thoughts, that carry me along.
Perhaps I have found where I truly belong, as I sing my siren songs.
Soft, still, the silence heaves
I inhale, the Spirit breathes;
Flowing, growing Christ bestowing
Life and strength surpassing knowing.
Scented, soothing, respiration
Taking in His inspiration;
Filling, feeling Christ exalted
Love and Grace supremely vaulted.
Sure, secure the Spirit wind
Where flows the Sovereign;
God revealing Christ resplendent
Hope and purpose codependent.
When He breathes upon the morn
Hope has dawned and life is born;
He my all in all shall be
From now unto eternity.
Job 33:4
Australia down under
Australia under prayers
Prayers that fly
Prayers that bother
Bother your heart
Bother in swells
Swells into far lands
Swells into rocks
Rocks of honor
Rocks of pain
Pain of forests
Pain of tides
Tides circling the cold
Tides breaking waves
Waves of emptiness
Waves of glory
Glory in kindness
Glory in honor
Honor we meet
Honor we see
See the emptiness
See the smiles
Smiles without riches
Smiles of a trial
Trials that excite you
Trials that see through you
You are endless
You are poor
Poor in richness
Poor in pocket
Pockets of koalas
Pockets of kangaroos safely
Safely finding nests
Safely from the flight
Flight in forest
Flight in your time
Time past darkness
Time from the heart
Heart opens your senses
Heart opening to God
God sounding the music
God holding our hands
Hands touching our brothers
Hands binding the light
Light as your spirit
Light as your love
Love that dawns
Love that breathes
breathe the waves
breathing the dawn
I remember that day
As clear as the crystal springs in June
When the sun rose upon a gladsome sky
Bursting through the harbor and the fields
As soft as the buds by the quivering dew
Dancing in the blue distance.
Summer's warm and scented breath
Invaded the clustered pathway
Where the last mountain spray
Descended in your eyes
Like a constant burning fire
That glimmers like fulgent streams of spring.
You held a delicate rose
In your limpid hands kissed by the
Vast fountains of purity's grace
That greeted my eyes with coy beauty
When the day was ripe with glory .
Like a flower you blossomed in my eyes
As one who held heaven in her smile
And sweet rosebuds on her lips
That trembles in the cold
With a budding joy as new as the moon
In the fullness of the night.
You drew a few words from your sad breath
That pierced like a striking sword
When the voice of the wind echoed
Through the lilac vines
Entangled on the weeping trees
That nods in the noonday light
In the last breath of summer.
My soul sank in dejection
Wet with despair.
Anguish flashing in my aching heart
Like an untamed madness
On this boundless land .
Oh please don't leave my love
Oh please don't leave my love
Because if you do
The mortal fire in my veins
Would extinguish
My breath would mute
And my lifeless body
Would drift me to some unknown hell
To live forever
In a helpless state of deep despair
In a desolate darkness
Of utter hopelessness!
The night grows heavy as the bells do toll,
And tears will fall, all will behold.
As deep in Gods earth is laid to rest half a soul
Once entwined and beautifully blessed.
Now those left behind will cry out with envy,
For the peace of ages the lost holds so clearly.
Those hearts left behind will cry out with the cold
As bittersweet memories circle of old.
Emblazoned images circle of walks once walked,
As the other half now goes with God to talk.
Hearts do tremble with sadness that once knew love,
As time stretches, a lonely run begun.
Time will carry forth until the other flies free
Dispatched by deaths angel to soar with the breeze.
Then those dispatched by deaths’ grim thoughts will unite
Together to find peace at last.
As the breathes of two souls will heal and hold fast,
And love will again hold them close, at last.
Take me where poets go to weep,
ink never sleeps and hearts bleed deep.
In silence, I long for a cathartic dawn.
This canvas knows no frame for vain verses.
You'll never feel the heat of frozen tears.
As poetry breathes your name, amidst darkness.

As I watch the daisies pushing up towards the July sun
I hear a song of joy being sung, for my heart alone
They own an ethereal beauty and innocence that
reminds me of a time when I was young like them
Beautiful are their golden faces, and their stems;
Those majestic trees that spread their leaves so high
remind me of a golden era of wheat and plenitude
strong stocks and verdant greens is all I saw ;
Cascades of sunlight falling like curtains on my willow
leading me to longing for scent of flowers on my pillow
If I could freeze the vision of my yesterdays enmesh
I think I'd frame it with my quadrant mind , alas
everything that lives returns to mother earth
everything that breathes , deserves rebirth
and as I watch the daisies pushing up towards the July sun
I hear a song of joy being sung, for my heart alone.
Silence speaks louder than the shouting
That consumes the lives of those
Who are destined to fail
With their hatred
And bitterness
So dark and dreary
Dim even in sunlight
Wishing for the darkness of night
When they might hide
From the beauty
That whispers
Love
Silence colors hearts with shimmering
Shades of solitude, isolation
Fumbling fingers of doubt
Encouraging soundless,
Discreet melancholy
Hues of secrets
Beckoning through
Heavens filled with hope
Healing and health
Happiness
That glows crimson
Painting brilliant rays
Of gold
Across the heart
The soul
Love
Silence echoes in the valleys
Crying across ridges
Of lonely mountains
Fading into the emerald
And sapphire crests
Yearning to fly
On wings of inspiration
Soothing tender aches
With music that destroys
Black and dreary thoughts
Despair that rides on clouds
Of gray, grim anguish
Displayed in rays of sadness
Disrupting the moments
Of clear radiance
Breathed through trees
On wings of ecstasy
That soars across
Cloudless skies
In sacrifice
Love
Silence sighs with
Love
Though a body dies, the soul breathes on
elegance undeterred, graceful as a swan
So it was with Sarah, her influence ever-growing
from the seeds of renewal she'd been sowing
Urgent now was widower Avraham's* mission
to find a wife for Yitzchak,* save the Jews from perdition
Servant Eliezer brought back Rivka* for Yitzchak to marry
Who brought her to Sarah's tent, he did not tarry
Rivka's entrance sparked the Sabbath candle's revival
Once again it burned from Sabbath to Sabbath upon Rivka's arrival
Sarah set the standard high for Jewish motherhood
In death as in life, her influence all for the good

Wrapped in her ethereal, misty cloak
Awakening senses to poignant changes
As crisp winds brush away last summer’s dust
Soft sunrays filter through sparse golden-hued leaves
Wrapped in her ethereal misty cloak
Blindly, I find my way through thick, dank fog
And while lost in the maze, sometimes I lose my cool
When I taste the bitter edge of what could have been
Wrapped in her ethereal misty cloak
Autumn breathes hope for the weary of heart
To smile in the face of cynicism means I’m alive
With a spirit to grow and a heart that is open and deep

"Why!' The 'why' is irrelevant!
The 'why' is counted for everything,
The Satanic stands for; to bid his.
His soul: aimed at the chaos of humanity.
His nectar is disparity, he harnesses.
He walks and breathes with fervency!
He stands for rebellion, unto which:
He grows bigger and stronger,
Against everything good!
He falsely informs love:
Whereas he is incapable of doing so.
He walks and breathes cunningly!'
Though I walk in the shadows of death;
I shall fear no evil doing unto me.
I am armored; I will be able to stand within.
My battle is hard; his chaos is so strong!
What's this I walk through?
He walks and breathes so cunningly!"
We've all seen those Hallmark stories
The ones too good to be true
Where there's a perfect love connection
That fate miraculously brings to you
So will tomorrow just be another day
Of distant dreams and fairy tales
What if...
Love breathes us in
Oh, everything changes
Cupid's dart...
Goes straight through the heart
All the loneliness ends
And a new life begins
When love breathes us in
What if love breathes us in
And what if while you're sleeping
Your unknown soulmate's dreaming too
Both lost in true love's longing
So soon to awake to "I love you"
Seems like doubt is always raining
Feels like hope is an empty plea
But what if "what's been" is lost
In morning light it turns to "will be"
When love breathes us in
Oh, everything changes
Cupid's dart...
Goes straight through the heart
All the loneliness ends
And a new life begins
When love breathes us in
What if love breathes us in
When love breathes us in
Oh, everything changes
Cupid's dart...
Goes straight through the heart
All the loneliness ends
And a new life begins
When love breathes us in
When love breathes us in
~Lyric Man
Note: This write was inspired by a comment a fellow poet made to one of my poems. She used this phrase, "when love breathes us in" I thought it was such a beautiful line I built this song around it. I hope you've enjoy!
"The Dragon Breathes
A tranquil stream flows way below.
A crack in mountain rock succumb.
The samurai has set its time, its work is done.
A pebble stone moved,
A rock has rolled.
A dragon wakes from hibernate,
A puff of smoke to mushroom choke .
The peasants scream, the dragon breathes,
It feeds on all surrounds at will
As tongues of fire leap the air,
molten rock leaves streets despair.
Lest pebble stone shift, has scorned the rift.
To wake the dragon from its lair
Those who scoffed this devil’s deed,
Ancestors legend now concede.

Rhythmic waves rose bending, beating
Out of my heart into my soul breathing once again,
Melting beneath the heavens hued in cherry blossoms.
Another night to drown in your moonlight blue eyes,
Nuzzle into your neck then taste your lips once again,
Tangle my fingers through your silky chestnut hair.
I don't ever want this night to end
Caught in the lace work of your love.

cymbals crash with frothy force
from dark shadows lurk jagged claws
volcanic sand gritty and coarse
moon beams off a barnacle laced jug
from dark shadows lurk jagged claws
shinny minnows in steady breaths
moon beams off a barnacle laced jug
in secluded pools the jelly fish dance
shinny minnows in steady breaths
volcanic sand gritty and coarse
in secluded pools the jelly fish dance
cymbals crash with frothy force
