Hey Tom, your heart you wear on your sleeve,
Concisely achieve what a poet does perceive,
Surpassing discerning reporters near and afar,
Keep writing about Putin and his stories bizarre,
You remind me of Churchill, just add a cigar.

Paris Down Under

I heard the thunder
all the kangaroos hid
children screamed in fear
the witch, her brew asunder

I calmed the innocent
peace is within my sphere
I danced with a Wolfe
Birds took a glance at philosophy

A druid mumbles
give peace a chance
I swallowed a lemon
said are crazy Sheilas in sanity?

Life full of questions
answers fly in the wind
just remember these wise words
ignore the ugly echo's

of skeletons in the wind

Have you ever heard tales of the weirdest things
Autumn leaves that fall in the midst of Spring
creepy two-headed toads
cats who sit on a commode
Devilish people pretending to have angel wings

Dogs that bark but sound more like mewing cats
In bright sunlight flying, a flock of Vampire bats
How many can you name
It's just a guessing game
Some things in life are so bizarre and that's that
written by Lin Lane

I wrote about saying goodbye
Some rejoiced, yet others did cry
It got poem of the day
Did it deserve it – no way!
I’ll be quiet when I say bye bye
written by Jan Allison

A rat getting burned for a slice of cheese
one legged dancer doing a striptease
the absurd, the aloof
snakes crawling on a roof
penthouse living with someone else's keys
 written by Tim Smith

I'm not allowed to pet the cat
when I do he has a spat
leaving a mess
Without distress
He puts it all on the mat
written by Russell Sivey

Premium Member Unfinished Poems

All poems are unfinished
Only those in sonnet are finished
Completed, done, and terminated
A poem can still be edited
Revised, retouched and rewritten
A poem is a powerful tool or weapon
Leave alone my unfinished poems
These are my spices, my stars, my emblems
You don't understand their symbols
And the words used to fill up the bowls
You just have to read my poems ten times
To fully comprehend them. Ignore the rhymes
To pay more attention to the vernacular
They are not bizarre; they are just particular
They are not regular; they are unfinished
They are not strange, they are simple. Kabish!

Bizarre Weather

Midday
                                         Scorching, blistering,
                                  Terrific sizzling weather all over;
                               With sweltering sun overhead outside,
Simply a huge splash of rain then
                                     Cools Asia, resulting a colder
                                                Midnight.

That Bizarre Behavior Caused a Sudden Death

Blame the parents
for rising their kids
with a foul language...
sins have a wage!

Only respect and morality
make good citizens of society,
but many like to poke fun
at anyone who can't run.

By looking at them one realizes
they came from unstable families:
their mother was a drunker,
and their father an abuser.

One of them wearing a Yankee cap
yells at the limping old lady out of shape,
" Fat cow, how many quarts of milk have gulped tonight?
You didn't wipe off that white mustache! Are you going to fart? "

And the elderly lady replied to that insult
" Watch your language, punk...I can fight! "
" Look at you! You walk like a turtle! "
she challenged her thinking she was feeble.

" Don't threaten me and get me mad, young lady!"
she brazed her legs expecting her
 to suddenly fling and attack her;
" I used to play baseball...I'll knock you down easily! "

Taking a grim look at her, the slender and cynical girl
continued to abuse the obese lady by giving her hell,
" Taste this, it's going to hurt! " she yelled by punching the teenager hard
and once down, the motionless, breathless and bloody girl didn't get up.

Everybody panicked, shaking her trying to revive her,
" No pulse! No heartbeat! No breath! She's dead! "
The ambulance came five minutes after to take one to the morgue
and the other to the nearest hospital with a bleeding tongue.

It's very rare for a bizarre behavior to cause a sudden death,
and unfortunately one life was lost because that teen felt tough;
it's a warning to other youngsters, " Avoid such a confrontation
with people you think are too old to fight, always use precaution!"

Madascar's Bizarre Lifeforms

In my travels I have seen ugly land. Lands of war and death,
however, I have also seen lands filled with bountiful grounds
could sustain an unquestionable amount of our rothers
and sisters- the animals.
Shadows of trees waltzing to the wind as the great plains
seem as a golden sea set aflame just as sunset.
From Peru, where most everything is the same as it was
in antiquity.
And the great Sahara where our species birthed from.
The flourishing Congo and her magnificent volcanoes
And Madagascar's arresting enthusiasm for bizarre life
forms.
It all, in all aesthetic glory, means nothing except if the
creatures of earth couldn't share it.

And yet, to my eyes they are the saddest places on earth.
Sure, lush and stunning are these landscape es that bring
shock and awe-
But to me they are ugly, sad, and soon will show outward effects
when all turns to rubble, to dust...
How can Montana be God's country when wolves are extinct,
they shall no longer roam the nights searching, hunting, copulating and just
simply living
How can the immense and stunning Virunga mountain Range
still be a mystery in all her glory when the last silver back gorilla is
murdered?
I assure you that it cannot.

Most just see the occasional tree, a small patch of green there, and
call the world as perfect ?
Ha! Only look a little deeper.
Now it's getting too late. Soon- all the last corners of earth
shall be be extinct.

A fish that walks ~ how strange
over land for extended periods of time
Just short range

A sea creature
That travels on legs ~ how sublime!
Feature!

Appeared
with feet to climb
Weird!

How Bizarre These Times of Grief

I hope I'll soon awaken from this nightmare of grief
I fell asleep and woke in scenes from The Twilight Zone
The world is a mess with horrors far beyond belief!
Worse than any Rod Serling episode would've shown

It's an alien nation, but the odd spacemen are human
Insurgents with weapons, threatening to declare war
Skin of white, brown and black; all of them fumin'
Setting fires of destruction; acts of violence I abhor

I try to rise from my bed, but I envision ugly views
of a monster trying to rule Earth, disguised as a germ
How surreal is this kind of attack? It must be a ruse!
Should such a horrible dream continue, long-term?

Breaking News!! There's been a fraudulent election
America has been disgraced by President, Don Trump
who claims FOUL, causing a rebellious insurrection!
Impossible! No decent Pres could be such a chump

And then it became even more unbelievable to me
The world learns the germ lives in a human's breath
Never again will I watch The Twilight Zone on my TV
if it leads to nightmares filled with so much death!

Sunlight warmed my face, and I woke in a fright,
recalling that my nightmare was founded on facts
How bizarre are these times of preposterous plight
in an alienated world, guilty of so many hideous act

Premium Member Oh, It's a Bizarre Little Neighborhood - My Head

Oh, it is a bizarre little neighborhood -
my head – peopled by thoughts
that congregate in cryptic ghettos,

Wary of the other thoughts
that reside in other ghettos
they walk the synapses of cynicism

Secure in the knowledge
that all the other thoughts
are just a little bit off,
slightly to seriously misinformed,
deluded by the mainstream cerebellum
into supporting the physical mess.

Two blocks down and one block over
reside the synapses of happiness,
peopled by thoughts of happiness,
they have totally lost touch with reality
although it is fun to hang out with them
just to confuse those who reside
in the synapses of unhappiness.
They wonder “how can the cynic be happy?”

Just West of the block of wonderment
reside the thoughts of “God” or “Goddess”
like some “God” is going to be trapped
within a specified sexual context.

On the other side of the “tracks”
reside the thoughts of anger and loneliness,
they are angry and lonely because
they refuse to cross the tracks
and consider another alternative.

Every intersection of the synapse highway
has a set of high speed traffic lights
to control the flow of the thoughts
and keep my head from exploding.

I have wandered these synaptic ghettos since birth
and feel quite confident engaging them all
I would invite you in but they are poor hosts.

Going Somewhere

Somewhere is another bizarre place to be,
especially if didn’t know how you got there.

Somewhere qualifies as another special
metaphysical indeterminate like nowhere.

Generally, we’re all going somewhere as
part of the greater space-time continuum.

In our earthly mortal world, daily points of
destination are readily known to each of us.

This is part of that tangible-known world
that each of us as human beings conform to.

One’s inner psyche, on the metaphysical plane,
may experience something entirely different.

What was once a “tangible-known” on this Earth,
may be that “intangible-unknown” of somewhere.

Space and time define us all in our human world,
whilst the terra firma of Earth is our palpable surety.

After dreaming deeply one night, who knows, maybe
your soul might become resident in that somewhere!

Perhaps your new presence in this realm of somewhere,
like being in nowhere, is your preordained karmic strife.

If this isn’t the case, then by cosmic fate, you’ve now
unknowingly found yourself in another dimension.

If this be so, then praying to God might be of help, since
He knows that somewhere is out there in the Great Beyond!
