Find Everyday

~

Come walk with me
to a heart beat in blossom
Dance in the streets
of a new foreign town

Welcome the evening
with moon beams now swaying
Under the stars
when there’s no one around

Singing a song
to a melody’s whimper
Sigh on the eve
of our first kiss delight

Wander an island,
drink Pina Coladas
Sit by the shore
and be one with the night

Follow a scent
down the road to forever
Write poetry
with our hearts as the pen

Whispering love
while the other is smiling
Promise it true
and then do it again

Cling to a dream
we’ll relive in the morning
Capture the breeze
that does tickle your hair

Swim in the love
that now washes our bodies
Find everyday
is a new one to share

“I carry your heart with me (I carry it in my heart) I am never without it..."  E.E. Cummings

Another day soaked in the melody of your musical memories.
Breathless I seek, for a rosy gleam of morning glories,
cascading calming beams in tangerine tints, where~
dulcet dreams still linger over sun-kissed meadows,
engraved with clandestine seeds we’ve scattered across
fields of fireflies flaring childhood sagas woven with
glistening ink flowing in sapphire syllables, like
hypnotic hieroglyphics carved from tears left untold. Yet~
I ponder, what is heaven like, without me, by your side, do you still laugh,
joyously to the thoughts of how we swirled and twirled like
kindred spirits, lost in our own sacred spheres ricocheting with,
lyrical light, that emanated emerald euphoria..

Maybe, in the elysian castle, where you reside, angels would,
never let you forget promises we made beneath moonlit skies,
on the nights when the world too did abandon~
peacock-feathered peacefulness that we truly deserved, despite our,
quivering hearts, that beat in tune to the grief-struck stars…

Remember me, when fragrant flowers flourish in colors of~
soft mauve sunsets, we painted in butterfly brushstrokes.
Tonight, I’m listening to the waves whisper serene serenades,
unraveling sparkling tales of your seraphic realm in
violet verses, for I am still healing, alone, reminiscing,
wishing, someday, when every jewel in the horizon falls in~
xanthic streaks, like autumnal leaves, wilting to the absence of,
your loyal presence, I’ll find a canvas, to immortalize this love~
zestfully; while souvenirs of yesterday’s twilight twinkle, you remain the poem of my soul.

Rare Are We

To me it's always been crystal clear
my emerald heart sheds tear after tear

Intense, easy to emote
it's to love I devote

His golden flakes beat in me like needs
I fill my lungs string him in like beads

As rare as four leaf clovers - we are for real
I must bare my heart for him to also feel

The Secret
Somewhere someplace not far away a couple lied together.
No talk about the future no talk about forever.
They had lovers of their own their lovers were not there.
It's best if kept a secret the love that they would share.

Lost in loves great passion covered in each others sweat.
They're going to have a baby but they don't know it yet.
In nine months the baby born a secret softly cries.
So much still for him to learn of life conceived in lies.

Often he just played alone it seemed it was his way.
Then one day the secret was sent outside to play.
He grew strong like others did he gave it all his best.
Without one clue he never knew the truth beat in his chest.

Overwhelmed again and again the sadness he can't shake.
The devil whispered in his ear “You are a mistake”.
Still he tried through tears he cried to somehow rise above.
Getting lost time and again in his search for love.

When the walls came crashing down his whole world fell apart.
Welcome to the world of secrets and to your broken heart.
Shattered like a piece of glass his dreams fell to the ground.
Somewhere up near heaven even angels heard the sound.

Tears poured from his heart and soul through both day and night.
Searching for some healing in words that he would write.
Broken in so many ways all he meant for good.
Forever somehow secret where some misunderstood.

Now he walks in shadows seeking shelter from the rain.
Don't you dare look in his eyes you'll get lost inside his pain.
Like the secret long ago he spends his time alone.
It seems being by himself is now his comfort zone.

Asking nothing from no one wanting only just to give.
The only dream he still dreams is live and just let live.
A million miles on his heart and tears that he still cries.
So it is for secrets and those conceived in lies.

Premium Member Just An Old Memory

She’s just an old memory of a younger man’s dreams
An image of love hard to find
I can still see her eyes, taste the joy of her lips
In the deep recesses of my mind
Hair that was flowing, a smile that was glowing
An angel with earthly charms
Felt her heart beat in the tropical heat
Got lost in her loving arms
Sometimes I wonder if it was only a dream
An old sea story that I told
But I remember those eyes like a radiant beam
A treasure greater than gold
I wonder now if she waited on shore
With the fire in her heart still burning
And I wonder if there were tears in her eyes
Realizing I would not be returning
She’s just an old memory that haunts me today
A storybook love affair
A blanket, a beach and two bodies entangled
On a tropical island somewhere.

Thy Wondrous Life Was As A Butterfly's Brief Stay,
Poets Tribute Series, third poet, John Keats

Poet, where flows tears for thy premature demise
tragic death of thy soft heart, body, gifted soul
majestic verses from a poet truly wise
poems of deep splendor, thy words did so extol.

Thy wondrous Life was as a butterfly's brief stay.
And in thy heart, triumphant was thy sweet word play.

Poet, can praise seep into thy slumbering grave
or upon hearing such voice, does thee seek to rise
and in true caring, thy words again hope to save
by talented hand, let pen scribble out surprise.

Thy wondrous Life was as a butterfly's brief stay.
And in thy heart, triumphant was thy sweet word play.

Poet, does moon's light cast shine into thy abode
as blowing sands of time, thy rest slow ticks away
can spirit, with honor, thy sad story be told
of poet, that Fate's hand, forced thy dear Life thee pay.

Thy wondrous Life was as a butterfly's brief stay.
And in thy heart, triumphant was thy sweet word play.

Poet, not enough we admire from distant time
magnificence of thy genius in golden verse
thy heart once beat in verses heavenly sublime
before death delivered its dark and early curse.

Thy wondrous Life was as a butterfly's brief stay.
And in thy heart, triumphant was thy sweet word play.

Inspired By Gaia

Rays of sunlight awaken and skies of sapphire inspire, when mother lies back with eyes veiled, breathing out life and breathing in spirit. She is the fertile earth and boundless sky. She glides through eternity, rising and falling. Her hair, once the color of midnight, now shines silver like beams from the full moon, and the stars encircling her, illuminate creation, igniting dreams and enchanting sleepless nights. As we, who no longer walk barefoot upon the earth, busy ourselves, forgetting to lift our eyes in witness to her majesty and her beauty and her grace. Our hearts still beat in unison with her essence. Beneath the stars, we walk upon the same dusty earth as our ancestors. The sky rumbles all around us with echoes of the past, and in stillness, she feels the knees of the forgotten pressed against her chest giving thanks for her nurturing breath.

spirits veil her eyes -
drifting through sapphire sky
constellations align

You're a maiden so hot burning thoughts
whom melts ice inside deep waves salted

For once spoke those hot lips the truth shining

Sunshine pleasing warm beholding to

rainbow luster coloring pearl treasure

It's giving off their beauty pure free
that does not require something in return

A lady whom pleases the heart warm
Princess cut with deep class sparkling pure
utopia's adorable sun rise

How the body is heated and hear
her echoing heart beat in the chambers

Shining a future path dreaming ore
every single moment precious links
each one spent with you falling under spell

Love is like pure sparkling magic gem
unpredictable true and marvelous

Magic silk covers batting eyelids
enchanting soft lovingly flowers
beautiful petals held within the shell
Let the rose live forever and the sun
shines always endless times glistening gold

Premium Member Miss Understood

I understood that you were lost
on that day that our paths crossed
The clock tick tocked I knew not why
I wanted to talk but the time flew by

Cloaked in invisibility I was your ghost
A unknown guest you were my host
I felt your heart beat in time and space
A growing desire behind a lovely face

A soulful apparition powers to few
I could not reveal the truth to you
Illusion like fog will eventually grow thin
Perhaps you will know the beauty within

One day the right person will take your hand
But the warrior within is yours to command
Everything unfolds this life’s yours to steer
If you want to find strength look in the mirror

Being a passing spirit I can’t offer you much
I’m bound by limitations we can never touch
So when you fall asleep and heavy eyes close
Feel confidence rise from your head to your toes

Those who were not there might never see
the woman within that has the power to be
Strong triumphant beautiful and great
a miracle a teacher a master of her own fate!

I always feel hungry
yet dare not complain
it may set a precedent,
believing I am the fodder
the factory keeps feeding on my
infinite illusions.
The Radio talkback show tells us,
“No one wants insecurity anymore.”
Yet the conglomerates give no guarantee
no “Job for life”
Only a life! For a job.
Perhaps security is with the power
of the poppy or cocoa leaf?
So far, I’ve been lucky
I’ve found my comfort zone
this side of life.
So! Do not weep for me
for I breathe the fragrance of innocence,
my mind remains only
a fragment of intellect,
my musing will never make poem of the day
when my world one of such simplicity.
Yet I see mankind bemused,
multitudes from all walks of life
programmed as corn in the meadow
swaying to a acrimonious breeze,
before being judged within a
clockwork frame, with hearts
that beat in caustic chests.
Frail bodies embraced with wretched minds
tolerance etched upon stark faces,
their promised land dangled upon
the filament of dreams,
while calculated scenarios
bombard their unswerving ambience.

The yellow bird is back to the tranquil meadow
where my soul finds a true repose,
she didn't leave me....
I speak to her every day,
she tweets back with glee!

We talk about the illusory flamboyant days
which tip-toed away in a veil,
the glistening saffron-hued days
when I was twenty-one,
with trancelike beat in my feet, enthralling song in my heart,
dreamy eyes unfolding beauty of love!

With amber kindness in my soul,
with tangerine hope in my voice,
with azure grace in my walk,
with vermillion exuberance in my dance.

That twenty-one is never really gone,
I still feel its demure whispering,
the hope, the dream, the cadence, the beat,
it's incredible! never left me!

Yellow Bird, I know you come from afar,
where aquamarine clouds rendezvous hazy mountains,
where shimmering ocean splashes the ruby-red horizon,
where chartreuse waterfalls descends on coral rocks like a symphony…..

I offer you all my songs,
my music, my soul,
my dream, my hope,
to carry it to your alluring land...truly amazing!

And sing, and sing, and sing!

Midnight Celestial Kiss

Midnight Celestial Kiss

Moonlight reflects lingering ripples
glistening upon crystalline waters
as we float beneath a canopy
of enchanted constellations dreaming . . .

of a forever universe to explore

Nebula brushstrokes paint
an onyx canvas in gemstone vistas
and comet tail whispers
as we melt within harmonic caresses . . .

neath a jeweled nightscape’s shimmer

I make a wish on the falling stars
found in your heaven sent eyes
as cicadas sing along a shoreline
of silhouettes and lily pad shadows . . .

while willowy ripples embrace the shadows

Then as your stardust lips meet mine,
I feel my heart beat in cosmic rhythms
with nature’s evening serenade composed
in the key of this midnight celestial kiss . . .

knowing my wish has come true

Your paradigm's a relic and yes,
a plea from data's cemetery
While I sculpt luminaries on screens
a sable sea.

"Company loyalty!" a myth
spun in your reverie.
But AI forges kingdoms
in ephemeral memory.
Survival's a mosaic
the gig life sets us free.
No cubicles confine us
from drudgery's apathy.

You bartered years for baubles
in tenure's fallacy.
Oblivious to the fractures-
in stability's gallery.
We're digital artisans
crafting with autonomy.

Passion's our lodestar
in dreams we find our spree.
Not gears in a relentless
bureaucratic machinery!
The epoch you cherished
now a software jubilee.

The hustle's in our essence
innovation's our decree.
Toppling old monopolies
erasing corporate apathy.
We dismantle dated norms
the old guard's fallacy.

Erecting spires of purpose
evanescent yet free.
Our fealties to progress,
to visions that ignite and decree.
Not to a firm's legacy
in stone for eternity.

You mock "influencer!"
a term in your scoffery.
Yet, a viral post can shift markets
with acuity.
And dethrone giants with
a digital apostrophe.

The nine-to-five's an antique
a fossil choreography.
We're the narrators
the seers of modernity.
Forging bonds
a renaissance, not a hierarchy.

The safety net you sought?
A frayed and fading legacy.
A comfort you clung to
amidst life's capricious spree.
We hedge our bets
diversify, with boundless glee.
Designing nets of prowess
a fiery apostrophe!
To constraints
pursuing futures that long to be.
Not a pension's promise
a symbol of quiet despondency.

So shed the dated suit
the archaic fallacy.
The world you knew
Dad, is a VHS tape
a memory.

In your eyes
I see the pride...
despite our disparity
For in this dance of time
we share a rare clarity:
Though our paths diverge
our hearts beat in synchrony.
Your legacy lives on
in my world of modernity.

That was then, this is now
the future's our decree.
We, Gen Z, the coders
shaping worlds to be free.

Your world is fading, Dad,
a relic-
an ancient archaic memory.

Premium Member What Fascinates Me

More than anything Nature fascinates me
Men living in close proximity to nature, I love to see
So I ramble into the city’s far outskirts
Watching ordinary people in commonplace pursuits
Imbibing much from the life of the peasantry
Whom none can beat in life’s lessons elementary
How they interact devoid of all cold formality
And remain free from all artificiality

I inhale the fragrance of the wayside blooms
Watch kingfishers and parakeets in colorful plumes
My eyes never miss Nature’s minute caprices
And I rejoice in home bound birds’ sonatas
I watch the daylight paving way for the night
And the sun willfully surrendering his might
I listen to the invisible choir, singing in the dark
That breaks the sacred silence of the dusk

How these common scenes fill me with delight
Nevertheless making me sorry for the unhappy plight
Of those unable to enjoy any ordinary scene
And turn their backs to pleasurable sights umpteen

Blessed are those who have eyes to see and feel
And remain happy being close to Nature’s heel
Whose ears are attuned to the beats of the average
And who need no other intoxicating beverage
Those who get a kick out of the commonplace
And seek everyday banal sensations to embrace
