Be Careful What You Hook

I once heard of a fisher Luciano,
who sang bass as he played on his piano.
Once he fished and cast his line
  by mistake hooked his behind
since that day, when he plays he sings soprano.

Bernie You Be Careful

Vinny Rogers was a dairy man who milked three hundred cows.
Share farming with his son Bernie who put in the milking hours.
Now Bernie was adventurous; he liked his teenage fun.
He owned a car; paid off a boat - he also brought himself a gun.
Bernie you be careful
when you’re loading up that gun.
You've got to know your distance
and what damage can be done.

This gun was something special; more power than a three-o-three.
The bullets were more piercing said the spiel that he showed me.
The bore was mighty larger than his old twenty-two -
Bernie scanned the paddocks to see what this gun could do.
Bernie you be careful
when you’re loading up that gun.
You've got to know your distance
and what damage can be done.

Well it wasn't very long before, his first kill he's going to boast,
when he took aim at a crow that sat upon a corner post -
the bullet fired; the gun recoiled, and the crow is spun around.
Bernie heard the bellow from beyond - and saw their Friesian bull go down.
Bernie you be careful
when you’re loading up that gun.
You've got to know your distance
and what damage can be done.

Be Careful What You Wish For

be careful what you wish for on this journey called life
and that what you wish for lines up with the spirit of Christ
be careful what you wish for just make sure it's Godly inspired
don't be a fool nor the devil's tool by what in life you desire

you thought you had found Mr. Right to you he was the perfect man
he turned out to be a loser and abuser who only showed you the back of his hand
you thought you had the perfect woman she was smart, pretty and sweet as honey
but when you feel in love she broke your heart as she was only with you for the money
you thought you had that dream job which gave you power, prestige and control
instead it was an all consuming stint sucking away at your soul
you desired a certain type of car the most fabulous vehicle you could get
but instead you got a big fat lemon that wasn't worth the polish nor the spit
they say that the grass always looks greener from the other side
just don't hate, appreciate, seek God's guidance and with Him take the ride

If you allow God to navigate you on this journey that is life
I guarantee you will experience less trouble, struggle and strife
God wants you to be happy, God desires that you have the very best
so for everything pray to Him and let the Holy Spirit put it to the test

God can send you the right mate someone who will love and cherish you
God can hook you up with the perfect car and so what if it isn't brand new
God can give you a career that will fulfill you and make you feel whole
allow the presence of God in your life and it will nourish your soul
so be careful what you wish for as you just might get it
all I can say is that on it pray that it's sanctioned by the Holy Spirit

Little Jimmy was SO pleased
But when he told his mum and dad…
They could not be appeased!

Be Careful - Revised With Music

BE CAREFUL (the song)

Soon you'll be here with me.
We'll laugh with gaiety.
You'll speak so tenderly.

Be careful

Those flowers in your hand.
You'll pin them near my heart.
I'll hope we never part.

Be careful

See sunlight in your hair,
And love light in your eyes.
A wonderful surprise!

Be careful

REFRAIN:
You'll make me love you.
You'll make me love you.
You'll make me love you.

Be careful

You'll hold me tight tonight.
I'll feel so warm again.
My head is in a spin.

Be careful

Soon you'll be here with me.
We'll laugh with gaiety.
You'll speak so tenderly.

Be careful.

REFRAIN:
You'll make me love you.
You'll make me love you.
You'll make me love you.

Be careful.

Premium Member Christmas Gifts - Be Careful What You Wish For

I'd wanted a boob job for years
Loud moaning was all my hub's hears
Neath the tree there's a voucher
Soon I won't be a sloucher
Hubs thoughtfulness brought me to tears

His present was such a fab gift
Boob implants and a full face lift
Now blokes ogle and stare
You should see hubby glare
This present has now caused a rift

Next year on our pine Christmas tree
A voucher for more surgery
With huge boobs I was cursed
I'll have the op reversed
Not all gifts will make you happy

Premium Member Be Careful With Me

Be careful should you say those words to me;
Do not use them casually;
To me, their meaning is quite profound,
So, don’t just throw those words around.

Be careful should you attempt to touch my heart;
It doesn’t mend quickly when torn apart;
When I give me heart you get my whole soul, too,
So, if you touch my heart make it a touch that’s true.

Be careful should you decide to share my bed;
If you want casual sex, try another instead;
The physical and emotional, to me, connect,
So, if you’re not real sure, don’t go there yet.

Be careful with me and I will be careful in return;
Lessons being otherwise have already been learned.

BE CAREFUL

Be careful what you ask for
One day life is simple, you ask
a female colleague at a partnering
organization not to call you “doctor”,
“professor” and such, then she says
your name the way a symphony orchestra
tears into the finale of a spirited overture
by Tchaikovsky or Rossini and suddenly
your feeling like the primus pilus, the
first violin, the anchor baton, the broad-
shouldered stroke in an eight-oared shell
or the seminal man with genes of genius
in his jeans: powerful, confident, perhaps
dangerously exposed – a burden you
don’t need
If you’re only doing business,
let formality play its role!

Be Careful of What You Wish For

Once when a fresh faced young girl named Mame,
Who had a face-lift, when seeking fame.
    But the mirror's refraction
    Gave her no satisfaction.
For her visage, portrayed an old dame.

Premium Member Must Be Careful Where I Tread

Did I perchance get up on the wrong side of the bed
Should I have gotten up on the other side instead
What else could it be
Perhaps I just need to pee
If I don't make in time, must be careful where I tread

Be Careful What You Write - It May Be True

BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU WRITE – IT MAY BE TRUE

It is a myth that people can be objective in their opinions.
People focus on qualities in others that they themselves have.
A kind person sees only kindness in others,
A mean person sees the meanness in others,
A kind person does not focus on the meanness of others.
This holds true for poetry fans, like me, like you:
Some SOUPER who talks about “the gritty, sharp, philosophical feel that you create”
Or who uses an expression like “ slitting the poetic wrists of a word weaver”
Is indeed such a person, such a poet.
When a speaker assesses another as “an architect of words”
Who can have you “reeling with sumptuous dialogue…applause!”
Then it seems to me that the speaker is in reality such a person.
Some guy can say “this may be brushed with light tones
But the sentiment is friggingly deep...”
And some gal may offer “bewitched am I with this exquisite expo on a bloom”,
And in both cases they are the true poet; and moreover,
If someone is kind enough to like a piece of verse and to say so,
It is an act of highly personal significance for the poet who writes,
For poets almost always write from the heart about their inner world,
Entered only by invitation to special people. The poem is the invitation:
Written so that only those who understand will respond.
Poetry is a foreign language to most people,
To whom reading it is like playing Beethoven* with mittens on,
Or drinking French wine* with a coca-cola chaser:
The true inner effect is completely absent.
Write to other poets often, for when we tell another of our admiration,
It reveals our own self in plain words.

……………………………………………………

NOTES

*Beethoven = deaf old guy who wrote tunes.
He and I have much in common, except I don’t write tunes.

*French wine = the finest in the world – as claimed by the French.

Be Careful What You Wish For

Last night I got a call.
- The fall is coming.

The moon is getting brighter, bigger.
Air is getting sweeter, full of magic.
Star dust is sprinkling from the sky
and even pill popping ghosts are growing wings.

Knit me a dress from the evening fog
and watch me shimmer in a dim light of street lamps.

Back home wrap a blanket around my naked shoulders,
hand me a mug of hot, jasmine tea
and let in that chilly wind knocking at the window,
whispering all the secret spells, wishes, dreams…

I hid mine in the eyes, scared to say them out loud,
for during the fall everything can happen.

Especially when you are a witch.

Premium Member Be Careful How You Feed Your Sheep

Being the leader of the flock
a pillar of society
you must be aware
that the power in
your hands
can change history
the influence
and community attitude
you can instill
must not be for
your own gain....
be careful
how and what
you feed your sheep.
