As I Rose From Purple Slumberland, My Heart Red Aflame

As I rose from purple slumberland, my heart red aflame
There within crackling old bones was an itching in the game
Was there honorable valor in soul's deeper felt hate
Dare I tempt yet again the hard vicious hand of Fate
Last time, repercussions were almost impossible to bear
But scorching volcano in me cried it is only fair
Had not the evil temptress burned alive my best friend
But my sword will certainly be her righteously brought end.

It was then I knew the unholy beast had flown back home
Had done ghastly work, leaving behind bloodshed as it roam
Not sparing innocent lives of babies and young kids
Seeking to slay wherever they went and cleverly hid
Ahh but, this true sword and razor-sharp blade it soon may greet
And within all of death's aching throes its demise thus meet
A sworn oath, a promise sword upon an ancient stone
The huge monstrous beast will receive wherever it has flown.

As gleaming moon its golden rays showered upon earth
I knelt to pray to my God for all of my worldly worth
To gift me insight and power to end its wicked life
And that I am not to be shredded by its claw-like knife
Or even bitten by any of its long daggerlike teeth
Nor knocked senseless and its trampling feet stomped beneath
This sincerest prayer I utter to Heaven up high
That in this Holy quest, God rewards me, I do not die.

Burnished gold, aged bronze patinaed by the firelight
singed by sullen Sol, not stayed by Poseidon's hand;
aflame, aflame, the tall ship burns, see the masts ignite.

Unpenitent the sky rains ash blackening the night
the fire sends a smoky pall upon the sea and land
burnished gold, aged bronze patinaed by the firelight.

Fire eats the air, it snuffs man's breath, death maybe their plight,
yet, all hands come to the Captains call, his to command
aflame, aflame, the tall ship burns, see the masts ignite.

Hell's inferno's come a calling on this sun lit night
a foul wind blows, the fire roars, and so the flames are fanned
burnished gold, aged bronze patinaed by the firelight.

Without their ship, the crew were lost, debtors they'd alight
they went up like straw scarecrows shriven by the brand
aflame, aflame, the tall ships burn, see their masts ignite.

Burning cinders catch the dock, the workers run in fright.
Pain and heart ache fill the wharf still they must disband.
Burnished gold, aged bronze patinaed by the firelight
aflame, aflame, the tall ship burns, see the masts ignite.

Premium Member Sets You Aflame

Like the sun after a summer rain
Like the sweet song of a robin's refrain
A Mozart concerto
A mellow cello
A gentle touch that sets your heart aflame

Aflame

a smile embedded
too vast, even for the sky
the horizon burns.

Aflame

Tonight, the horizon burns like metal
Molted and shot from a mouth of fire
The trees stand scorched, coal-chalked pictures
In the sky hangs a fleeting smile
Molted and shot, from a mouth of fire
Twisted from wire, but tender, yet to be shaped
In the sky hangs a fleeting smile
The work of an artist, holding beauty in crude hands
Twisted from wire, but tender, yet to be shaped –
The trees stand, scorched coal-chalked pictures
The work of an artist holding beauty, in crude hands
tonight. The horizon burns like metal.

red orchard aflame
winter's angular sunshine...
peach tree buds explode

Some of the peach orchards
look like a flame with the
buds swelling 'pon the trees

Capricious, a long haired
Classical girl, long legs
Casually looks, eye
Contact, fiery young man,
Clearly hormones aflame,
Confidently walks with rose
Converse, fait accompli!

SET THE FUTURE AFLAME

Children:
Glorifying drums of hope
Undying sparkles of wisdom
Fortifying steps of eternity
Glittering dreams of tomorrow’s
Realities!

Your innocence
Your truthfulness
Your honesty
Your purity
Your lack of past,
I worship

For that,
I yearn
The time for you
To stop,
Your advance to
Impede,
Your march to an
End to bring,
Before
You reach the
Treacherous cliffs:
Of blame
Of deceit
Of duplicity
Of deception
Of immorality

THUS

Pious
Your feelings
Your thoughts
Your beliefs
Your spirituality
Will remain

FOR

The sacred torch,
Of
"The New Loving World"
To carry on
And with that
Your unblemished
Future
To set AFLAME!

Music Box Love

A music box,
Within the vault of time,
Hangs silent and still,
As the dancer steps softly.
Forward in time she comes,
With raised arms and swirling skirts,
The dance begins again.
With her smile she beckons
And the full moon tilts downward,
Setting us aflame with cold fire.

Into the amber haze
Her swaying body hurries us along
As we follow in the dance.
Soon weary of the chase,
She leaves us on our own.
We await the winding,
As Dawn, tempting, lures away the night.
And the music begins again.

Burning with passion my loins are aflame
My eyes are quite round, really going insane
She's primed and ready
My mind's like spaghetti
Her stuff makes me quiver, pulls this old guy's chain

Devotion Poem Soul Aflame

*** Devoted — Soul Aflame ***

( A Devotion Series Poem. Written for our one, holy ABBA)

With a folding into
 Divinely reaching Love —

My stilled soul in an instant,
 flared, leapt
   — to a Return
   of devotion to our holy,
  Creating author.

In a physically-felt arrest —
Bursting flames within a this soul
  Rose swiftly,
In a transcending rush
As if pulling
All the blue sky along with it —
Up

 Leaving here…
Luminescence _

With some few remaining
Shadows tossing about
— unable to conceal or threaten;
Turned to
  a purer purpose;
  melded
With colors magnified
 in moving
     along the eternal infinite.

My soul, so taken by the Holy Spirit
  And ignited
     by my heart’s wordless worship
        into communion
Thru to the prayer’s ending, “Alleluia! Amen!”
Then — Warmly ringed in that peace —
of
God Alone.

Bearing a tuned waiting
 Upon our Lord.

Selah.
