Notes About The Poem

I am highly skeptical of the media's contention that the Notre Dame conflagration was due to an electrical circuit failure, especially since investigators were not allowed on the premises for so long...

Intolerance Aflame

Notre Dame
  now maimed
terror's imprint
  hate proclaimed

Notre Dame
  ravaged, lame
intolerance aflame
  for shame, for shame

Notre Dame
  great holy name
fearful to blame
  ~ to the world inflame

You do have to wonder if it was intentional!

It would be nice if we could trust the authorities and the media not to lie to us. That's a pipe-dream, of course. ~ gw

Hm, interesting version, Wolf. Especially, if we take into account that merde happened right after sad events in the NZ's mosques. On the other hand, terror loves publicity. If that were true, they would shout it from every rooftop. May be it really was a common human carelessness and raspizdiestvo.

Who knows? It would be nice if the media were trustworthy. It's anything but that, unfortunately. ~ gw

The world is certainly inflamed, and I did not know about the investigators being held off for a weird amount of time. Now I am curiously curious. Thanks!

You may be right. These days we can hardly take anything a face value.
