"For as they were in those days before the flood... so the presence of the Son of man will be." - Matthew 24:38-40

I see them, though they cannot see me. I watch as they engage in their hedonistic desires, indulging in licentious lust as they pursue gratuitous greed and perverted passion without restraint. Their skulls are hollowed-out turnips, their tongues cast poison darts. Their throats are an open grave as they spew slanderous lies and hold my people in contempt. Their blasphemies against the Spirit will never be forgiven, not in this world nor in the one to come. Each has a heart as calloused as a smith's hands, while their souls are blacker than dark matter. Enjoy the revelry my fiendish foes, at least until the clock strikes the midnight hour. For you see, I am near at the door. You don't know me, but I have many names. I am Abaddon, the Destroyer. I am Apollyon, the Ancient One. There is a judgment pending, the sound of which will tingle all ears and turn faces red with sweet wine into whitewashed gravestones. Listen, listen. Can you hear it?

AND NOW, LET THE FINAL DANSE MACABRE BEGIN!

play a mournful dirge
sing a song of surrender
for His day has come

"Amen! Come, Lord Jesus." - Revelation 22:20

Full Accountability

In life, there’s plenty, and various points of view
Aged twenty, forty or more, give or take a few
Whether one has gone full circle, half or even third
This question has been asked, or you may just have heard.

When something you have done, or have decided upon
Like a referee’s call that’s been derided on
Do you calmly stay, to answer in rebuttal
Or do you go for drama, finding ways for acquittal.

At one point in our lives, we may protest or howl
It’s us who made the wrong call, or even did what’s foul
What to do after that, is anyone, everyone's guess
It would reflect our morals, the code that we profess.

Being adult is to try to make amends , apologize
sincerely, no platitudes,to those we've wronged, sympathize
Pointing not to others, guilty or not, to blame
Or say such other excuse, that sucks or just as lame.

Not seeking refuge, but owns up to accountability
Being an adult means taking full responsibility.
From all the things we've learned, what puts us to the test
To walk the talk, the meaning, separates us from the rest.

Crash

When you drink and drive,
Your Accountability
Is gone. Here and now.

Accountability

Always
Conscious of
Considerable responsibility
Oath to none, but driven by self
Unreasonable guilt;
Never justified
Testimonial to morality
And unwavering devotion
Believing always
In taking the higher path
Living by a code
Invisible to most
Though terribly difficult on
Yourself

Accountability

In this world of sin and shame,
It's hard to know who is to blame.

We become desensitized,
To the evil on the rise.

Those beliefs we know are wrong,
Are lived daily among the throngs.

Is there no end to hate and greed?
What will it take to follow God's lead.

If there is evil and I give it no name,
Than it is I who is to blame.

The Accountability of Our Own Behavior

as adults we must be accountable for our own behavior
if we expect the same from our children.
when children see political leaders in compromising positions,
adults fighting in court rooms, PTA meetings and city council sessions
and fathers and mothers verbally and physically abusing each other.

how can we expect more from them
when we are not holding each other accountable?
do we blame the media with their reality shows?
do we hold them solely responsible for exposing our youth to all of this?
they say just change the channel or turn off the TV
but that is not an answer not is it the solution to a growing problem

society has made this type of behavior entertainment
if not for its shock value but to boost up the ratings for revenue
parents fighting and attacking children and coaches at little league games
celebrities going to rehab on a daily basis
sports figures and officials throwing games
professional athletes committing felonies and only getting slaps on the wrists
and then they have the nerve to suspend a child from school
for DRAWING A PICTURE of a weapon
hypocrisy at its worst

judges taking bribes
doctors molesting their patients
teachers have sex with their students
yet we have a ZERO TOLERENCE POLICY with those same children
who are we kidding?

behavior is learned
and like any and all animals in the wild
the young are taught by example
its time we stop naming names and placing the blame on others
and look to thine self
its time we stop with the excuses and start holding ourselves accountable
for our own behavior before we impose rules on our children

Accountability By Toi Ruiz 7th Grade

Action!
Count on yourself!
Can't take anyone else's responsibilities.
Only you can!
Understand why you should
Not make
The mistake
Andy made by driving drunk.
B.J. should have driven that night
If Andy was so drunk.
Learn from your mistakes and bad choices.
If you do not
Then the same will happen to
You!

Accountability

Assume you have to ask questions and you
Can mess up. You
Can apologize and make it up by
Offering to help
Understand a problem and
Never pretend to empathize. Just
Treat people right

Ask to hear both sides of a story
Before making one evil, another inheriting all glory
Illustrate what you preach
Learn why things work
Indecisiveness needs to stop, make up your mind
Trials and tribulations will test your character,
Yield happiness and calm, life will be a delight.

Accountability By Ulyssa Vinarta 8th Grade

Andy was driving.
Caused a
Car crash
On the highway.
Unbelievable!
Now
That
A friend has
Been killed.
It has caused chaos
Leading him
Into
Taking responsibility for his own actions,
Yet, he still blames himself.

Source

One goal and many choices,
Yet one is heard among the voices.
We are learning to battle out the bad,
Changing for a new heart that’s glad.

Let’s look at the sources,
There are two opposing forces.
One says come and stay,
The other says get lost, go away!

As we sank down from the trip that lead to misery,
We thought we’d reached the point of no return,
Then we found a lightened destiny,
Which blazed a trail and made us burn.

Purifying flames made us come alive.
Minds were carried through the veil of time.
We were set down again on barren climbs,
Once again aided to cross the jagged divide.

He again resounds, “Come, follow me.”
A simple phrase among the many,
But more profound than any,
And in these words, a precious melody.

We are the ransomed, in a world of the damned,
Reversing the process, giving light and hope to man.
Chosen to do the work of saving lives,
This right we honor, and in it shine.

In living according to His word,
We gain the reward of whom we serve.
We must attain our goal from the right source.
Be sure you are following the right course.

Accountability

If you didnt know , its about to be a long hard road,
If only you had listened, your future a way you wouldnt be pissing ,
But to the hard way here we go, lets just just hope you learn before the devil takes your soul, because this world the ones who rule, keep control by keeping you a fool,
Use you as their tool, build you up make you think your cool,
Dont even have a clue, that all you do,
Is to build anothers wealth,
Guess you couldnt see through their stealth,
But i promise in the back they watch and they laugh
Get joy.out.of watching you go down the wrong path,,
Just put the numbers together truth is in the math,
Everything you get from unlawful persuit you dont even get to keep half,
In the end they bleed you until your tapped,
Hope itll be seen before its too late
No longer your destiny you may live your fate

Premium Member Accountability

Why is accountability so allusive to mankind?
I think that many of us forget, that God is not blind.

There is always an excuse, an easier path to take.
Will our deception anger God, or make his heart break?

Can’t all be forgiven, why must we show disdain?
Practice what you preach, so your work is not in vain.

Premium Member Through the Narrow Door

I saw it coming, like
New morning in May, when
I ventured out, and hugged the air -
For the universe was waiting, while
Its pool of plenty said, breathe
I then sought the Almighty, who
Boost everyone's battery
From booze as drugs, and
Toys, like pseudo joy.

I vowed to submit to life refreshed
To crave such natural high
I would need no other fix
Just one touch, like
Holy Spirit dew of spring rain
Giving garden growth, to a lifeless flower.

Town Agenda

gathering and bruising typhoon rain
purrs the pain
jumping off the tracks blind locomotive train
wreck to maime
blooding noses quicker than white caine
ignorance pickled conductors always feign
with hands stained red from another man's ration of grain
predictable as the charted tides of Maine
mismatching words and actions lead the cause of insane
intent should be printed clear and plain

up at the pearly gates, there they stood
waiting in line one fine day
the lady with the angel's voice
who sang only in her shower
the painter-perfectionist
who would never soil a blank canvas
the actor who was too shy
to try for roles in the theater
the poet who scribbled notes
all tucked in a drawer locked away
and the scruffy young girl knew best
to make people smile back at her
they took a big bite of humble pie
when they learned, there so anxious
all would be asked how they made
the most of their talents as they were ~
