Through the Narrow Door
I saw it coming, like
New morning in May, when
I ventured out, and hugged the air -
For the universe was waiting, while
Its pool of plenty said, breathe
I then sought the Almighty, who
Boost everyone's battery
From booze as drugs, and
Toys, like pseudo joy.
I vowed to submit to life refreshed
To crave such natural high
I would need no other fix
Just one touch, like
Holy Spirit dew of spring rain
Giving garden growth, to a lifeless flower.
