SHEER BEDLAM
LIFE ESCAPES THROUGH MY HANDS LIKE FINE SAND BETWEEN MY FINGERS
TIME DISINTEGRATES IN FRONT OF MY EYES WITH NO WAY OF SLOWING DOWN.
THE INEVITABLE CREEPS AROUND THE DARK CORNERS AND LURKS IN THE SHADOWS, WISPERING IN MY EARS, DESPERATE TO POUNCE ON ME THE MOMENT I AM VULNERABLE AND EXPOSED TO ITS ELEMENTS.
FEAR OF ABANDONMENT

Bedlam When Storm Finds You Out
We heard the alert!
Big storm coming!
Batter down the hatches.
Tie down the loose stuff.
Board up the windows, sandbag the doors.
Remove any debris that may fly around.
We did it all, in plenty of time.
But, we looked around dismayed.
The neighbors did nothing.
Many were away, out of reach, not contactable.
We saw that their properties were a vulnerable bedlam

Bedlam of the Chamber
The chaos in my heart,
The turbulence within my chamber,
A sea in tempestuous rage,
A sudden, rapid turning of the pages of a book,
An uproar gnawing at my mind—
Tranquil, I still seek to find.
I walk into the embrace of the day,
I walk into the loveliness

Bad ass beauty brought bedlam, and begat bastard child...

Bedlam and Mayhem In the Mistress's Boudoir
Bedlam and mayhem in the mistress's boudoir
Nsync with variations on a theme:

Swiss cheese, sauerkraut,
Russian dressing between slices
of rye bread that is grilled
until the bread is crispy
and the cheese melts)

pseudo lurid fictitious escapades

Bedlam Blues
Cain killed Abel on a Monday night
Abel didn’t get a chance to put up much of a fight
Cain said, “am I my brother’s keeper?” God said, “yeah,” but Cain said, “nah”
Adam just shook his head and rubbed his jaw
And Adam said,
"Good grief, my oh my

The Food Bank Store
There's been bedlam down at the food bank store
Rushing and shoving through the opened door
I've even seen fighting there on the floor.
What's happening to people, can’t they share?
When it appears there's hunger everywhere
All we need is some love, kindness and care.
* * *
Again I'm going to the food bank store
For my little girl Daisy Loo,

Life of a Philosopher
He walked a tightrope for a while
toed the line with guile
as the popcorn crowd ignored the show
But his slow, deliberate pace
brought him no-more-close to grace
than had he jumped to nameless fortune’s call below.
This, he came to know.
So...he drank his guts out for a while
heaved up sorrows in a pile
of wretched whiskey-pricked despair
But the Mysteries couldn’t

A Hoodlum Albeit Respectable In Bedlam
A hoodlum, (albeit respectable) in bedlam
whiling away his time playing solitaire...
November second two thousand and twenty
fast approaching the final countdown
With less than twenty four, twenty three,
twenty two... hours
harkening, heralding or (worse case scenario)
hindering the presidential election,
I trumpet mounting tension and suspense,
whereby anticipation hangs
analogous to sword of Damocles
precariously looms - casting dark shadow

Bedlam and Mayhem In the Mistress Iz Boudoir Post Two
who left trail of heartbroken sage woman
commander in chief deliberately stoked,

simmering smoldering, and stewing
long festering white supremacist altercation
fiendishly igniting racial conflagration

Shock
Shock
by Michael R. Burch
It was early in the morning, in the forming of my soul,
in the dawning of desire, with passion at first bloom,
with lightning splitting heaven to thunder's blasting roll
and a sense of welling fire and, perhaps, impending doom—
that I cried out through the tumult of the raging storm on high
for shelter

Bedlam
We filled satin roses with birdseed
not wanting to harm the birds
I could have used my own flower pouch
little balls inside to keep me strong
Every misfire began as a bloom
dreams and desires whisked their blossoms
and fueled them with breath and heartbeats
intentions were laden with benefit
But I grew peonies entwined with weed
my energies spilled into twists and

Bedlam **** and Chinese Takeout
beware the enemy who can
fart your national anthem
it was a mob scene at the microphone
kill him kill him they laughed
nobody wanted to miss the show
a perfect blend of pandemonium and bliss
sound bites took their ears off
but how else can one enter the future
with enough for gas money
a basket of Chinese takeout and a cigar
