Leprechaun

An imp plied Guinness to a Banshee trick
The wraith in anger gave him chase right quick,
After her gold he did dig
The Leprechaun danced a jig
But lost her rich hoard in a Limerick.

Still, I have a severe fright for banshee
Once I felt, I saw her under a tree
It made my poor brain sizzle
And on bed, made me drizzle.
At night, hearing a shriek, I had to flee.

Where legends lurk
And dark tales abound,
This killer wails ...
A horrible sound

She cries and cries
Still, none ever see,
The creature they call
The old banshee

And if you hear her
Late one night ...
You will not live
To see daylight 

Some say she drifts
Over castle walls ...
Amid Ireland's hills
Letting out deathly calls

And some say this
... She is but, free,
To roam and

Cry of the Banshee

Bursting moon is slowly frailing 
Her deafening cry, you can hear 
Razor rage of maiden wailing 
Searing scream from far to near 

Bloodshot eyes of bleeding stare 
Feasts at you while you're alone 
Deadish feet is in the air 
The wailing pricks you to the bone

Wrapped in dress doused in red 
Dripping like water to

The Heart of the Banshee

The moon shines over a beating heart.
She’s gleaming, beating, a bright blue? 
Weird. What’s caused this heart to transform. She wails. And immediately the moon reaches for her, beating, gleaming, wailing. Once more. For she is the banshee, rattle her, but beware for she stings.

Screeching Cornered Animal Synonymous With Banshee On the Loose

Upon exiting side door nearest
to our single bedroom
(few dozen strides to access way
out apartment - complex edifice),
I unexpectedly encountered
(on August 30th, 2021 ~10:15 pm -
née namely heard but did not see),
a small screeching creature
whose anatomical features it did splay

yours truly raced (fast as greased lightning) 
back to our unit (b44)
breathlessly describing
frightful scenario to spouse
her skeptical

What makes us male guys go totally loopy
Eyeballing young females with a cute little booty
There ain't nuttin' finer
Makes us growl like a tiger
Or scream like a banshee while ogling these cuties

I am the scary Bella
I haven't got a fella 
To bring me my umbrella
in the pouring rain.

Had one, he was yella
Kicked in his patella
Ran away from Bella
limping, screaming pain.

The sky is empty, apart from a crescent moon, all is black.
Another night, a single star was my only light to show me the way.
No why, just do; a chance we must never take back,
Or we will break apart all that which we want, while we wait.


For we are singular in our shared goals.

The Banshee Was Biding Her Time

The banshee was biding her time
Trying to look like she belonged
At the Scottish wedding 
Death found her

And escorted her out
Wrong wedding he cautioned her
She was young, 
Glad she had saved her wail.

Night falls on the Irish countryside
The midnight fog spreads across the hills
Soaking the land in a cloudy sea

All except the blood-curling wail
Belonging to the wandering banshee.

She travels to where death arises
Reciting a lament for the departed
As tears of despair roll down her cheeks
Sharing her empathy for the souls
