AWAKENINGS
transitory
 remnants
    gathered
symbols
covering
  contours
culminating
  dialectics
in
preserved
  blurred
   splendour

vanity
 meditate
on
past
  fictions
&
new
transient
  dimensions

Rude Awakenings

'twas on a matopoeic morn
woken by the crack of dawn
fell out of bed
'pon my head
feeling floored
and quite forlorn
and so as not to wake my neighbours
I stifled an almighty yawn
but yet again
all at sea
afloat on board a boat
by an ocean wave
my sleep was wrecked
when debunked
and then decked

Awakenings

Supine
on an oak bough
blooming its spring garlands,
my son’s new muscles twitch, futures
stirring. . .

Premium Member Intermediate Awakenings

hands folded
heart prayerful
we request lives we touch
be made more beautiful

to our astonishment
we hear a voice benign
telepathic and unmistakable
‘no one is yours, all are mine’

we did not give up easily
‘oh lord, please intervene’
the answer is succinct
‘be still, that truth be seen’

the admonishment continued
‘who you are, in silence recall
if you pray for betterment
then pray for one and all’

relinquishing attachment
renouncing every fear
I stood silent in my emptiness
waiting for God to appear

Awakenings

Awakenings

Waking thoughts
Fields are clear
Morning’s harvest
Reap idea’s

Grab a keyboard
Grab a pen
Or grab a hoe
But start digging

Morning moments
Nurture notions
At this time
Our thoughts are potent

What a Extraordinary Gift

I
Sleep and Infinity, Sleep & Resurrection
Thank You Father, Son Jesus, Spirit:
You did not owe me this day ...

II
When I awake. I remember gratitude
As slowly I gather the Past -
Thoughts, recycled emotions, that's ME
I HAVE CHOICES ... Redo addictions
Coffee (or worse, for the needy); Prayer
Is my way to say, I AM A RESURRECTION
Could I seek to follow The Way, Truth, Life

III
Every waking from naps & sleeps is a gift
Like the resurrection
We are born again in those moments
Will u remember & tell Life: I'm grateful

IV
This morning I will thank my LORD, Shalom
I am awake. I am An Awakening

Dream...into thoughts of paradise
A stream turned waterfall arc's a rainbow
The sun's beam tints the hues
Reflections of glitter, gleam
Awaken smiling...to beauty's extreme

Cool overnight rains, bear a fresh burst of spring,
Peach and pink hues grace gardens, youthful playing!
Pale lemony sunshine, at warmth's golden beginning,
And everywhere you roam, there's a novel happening.

Pink butterflies in circles, a bronzed loop de loop,
And masses of cherry blossoms, preceding red fruit.
The grass so green, pearl dewdrops gone one by one,
Like the shadows that flee, in feverish awe of the sun!

Morning's Broken Armor

Morning’s Broken Armor
by Sy Roth

Squeaky crawls the moon’s light

Falling briskly against the chinks in the window

Uneasy sleep

A voluble accompaniment to

An out-of-work cello.

Scooting, crawly insects beat against it

With a frenzy of scrawled brevity

Tattooed on its soft shell.

Horns bleat somewhere in the inky distance.

Town criers bellowing news to a somnolent brain.

Alternatives roll away from eyes

Cemented closed with a.m.’s dream glue

And the clinkety-clank of Sir Gawain’s armor

Makes its way into the room.

Declaring additional valid seconds

Feet flopping like pimpled pancakes ready for turning

To the cold floor

The morn ready to mourn another day.

Red rooster is crowing, perched on a split rail fence,
In the bloom of a rosy dawn, when all nature is tense.
In the chocolate colored trees, of the emerald leaves,
Baby bluebirds are cheeping, to the spicy warm breeze.
The flowers bob and curtsey, with many colorful cheers,
In a love affair that's endured, ages of sunlit years!
Purple shadows are drifting, the world partially awake,
And it's still a shadowy mystery, what destiny will make.
Perky squirrels are scampering, the sun is on his way,
Sweet life is beginning again, for it's a brand new day!

beyond blue mountains
deep gold horizon sunrise
a peach rose unfurls

suddenly so green
and baby jays are singing
blindsided by spring

rise up at pink dawn
the early bird is crowing
miles before moonlight

sweet kindergarten
where minds begin to wander
here there everywhere

Mechanoreceptors
By David J Walker

I like to press mine
against yours
the mechanoreceptors
that seem to fit
Awakening the knowing of the
how’s and why’s
We touch and kiss
Each other
And long for
The pleasure of the pressures
We learn and miss
And come back for more
Thank God for the gift of
primary sensory neurons
The dendrite made
To respond to
the welcomed touch
we learn in
loving each other

                   ~A Senryu Trilogy~

            morning mix, blue haze
            cat calling for her breakfast
            sun in window peaks

            french coffee perking
            a gardenia shower
            warm, turquoise towels

            pastel summer dress
            favorite strapped shoes to wear
            fresh rose dons my hair
