Premium Member Carrot Cake

Carrot cake would be my choice
As healthy foods help me rejoice.
Raisins, carrots, eggs, and milk
Reforms a texture, smooth as silk.
Orange juice, perhaps a cup
Together, boost the flavor up!

Carrot cake, with real whipped cream
All perfect as a double team!
Keenly nutritious- got my seal
Eaten, post a healthy meal.

Premium Member Turkey Legs

Thank you for tender flesh so sweet
Uniquely known for your dark meat
Risen to fame as a rare treat
Known as sticks that are fun to eat
Each person asks for a repeat
Year after year, you face defeat

Lovingly fried in hot peanut oil
Eaten quickly before you spoil
Gobs of grease on aluminum foil
Save us from high cholesterol.

Premium Member Diabolical

Insane
All of us
The two of us
The ménage of us

The rain drops fall inside our heads
Just the two of us
Crazy deluded creatures
crawling in the attics of darkness

Breathing, gasping, hold on, hold tight
The air becomes a precious bond
Little one dances in the wind
Precious dreams in white padded rooms

Adam and Eve and serpent roam
The halls of the diabolical
Wondering where I have been?
I am all of you

Mirrors on the wall
Can you not all see?
We are all me and you
Insane inside mindless heads

Random mutterings
Broken bottles
Gods stolen promises
Contracts broken in the night

Insane we are
All of us
From Adam to Dawn
Holding hands for better days

Dying to be uninsane
Wishing raindrops go up not down
ATEN shall again shower us
With sunny days

Dedicated to someone here who told me once, “I am just…………. Well I say you are just a brilliant poet”

The Game

So, you want to play the game?
you do know the deck, is already stacked against you?
but you try anyway, you put your first dollar down.
before the dollar even hits the table, you've lost.
Play again sir?
you've lost long before your next card, is even dealt.
so, you go again this time, you put down a five.
then you drop aten, a twenty, then a fifty.
all the time saying, this is the hand.
My lucks going to change, but it won't, nor will it ever!
So, before you know it, it's you dealing out the cards.
setting the deck, as you wait, you start to grin.
As you see that first dollar hit the table.
new player, big money, here we go sir! good luck!
dealer hits 16, a 5 of spades, house wins!
Play again sir? Yes, then here we go!
Player bets a five, a ten....
Time and luck, you always have more of one than the other.
It's never the one you need....

Diamante Ii

Sun
                           brillant ball
                  burning, heating, searing
                  Fire, Aten, Rainbow, Iris
                 cooling, pouring, caressing
                            misty wet
                                Rain
