Notes About The Poem

Aten ,also Aton, is the disk of the sun in ancient Egyptian mythology, and originally an aspect of Ra. The deified Aten is the focus of the monolatristic, henotheistic, monistic or monotheistic religion of Atenism established by Amenhotep IV, who later took the name Akhenaten in worship and recognition of Aten.

Diabolical

Insane
All of us
The two of us
The ménage of us

The rain drops fall inside our heads
Just the two of us
Crazy deluded creatures
crawling in the attics of darkness

Breathing, gasping, hold on, hold tight
The air becomes a precious bond
Little one dances in the wind
Precious dreams in white padded rooms

Adam and Eve and serpent roam
The halls of the diabolical
Wondering where I have been?
I am all of you

Mirrors on the wall
Can you not all see?
We are all me and you
Insane inside mindless heads

Random mutterings
Broken bottles
Gods stolen promises
Contracts broken in the night

Insane we are
All of us
From Adam to Dawn
Holding hands for better days

Dying to be uninsane
Wishing raindrops go up not down
ATEN shall again shower us
With sunny days

Dedicated to someone here who told me once, “I am just…………. Well I say you are just a brilliant poet”

Congrats on POTD, Arthur!! This diabolical write is anything but insane. I find it hard at times to draw a line between those who claim sanity or insanity! You leave us to ponder...thus you have reached your main aim! // paul

This is quiet the write...and I will quote the words of that famous song..."And we'll never survive....unless...we are a little crazy." It's a crazy world, Arthur. We need to survive. Congrats on being POTD.

Congratulations on poem of the day, we all have those mixed feelings inside, how one perceives one thing in their mind the other person a different way that is what makes us unique. I've seen it in painting classes long time ago. My painting of the still life in front of me could be soft and delicate the other person sees it harsh why I have no idea all I can think of is the mood they are in. Well anyway enjoyed your wonderful poem. Hugs sweet friend

Well my friend, what a poem -- here's my rambling -- Everyone needs a good defense system. Will we elect to be defended by our nation, with its vast military armaments? Will we choose to be defended by an arrangement of emotional devices that keep others from getting too close? Or will we decide to relax confidently in God, "With Sunny days" Well done mighty one! 7

this one makes me think of Flowers in the Attic. I love that story and read all the books in the series, but I suppose your poem means something completely different! (even the picture kind of looks like the wicked mother in that story!)

Had to look that up! Well although this has meaning, its meant to mean whatever one takes out of it as well. I combined a few events, and I have no idea if I succeeded, in that sometimes I try and write something that has a particular meaning, but also none at all, or whatever the reader takes from it. :)
