I sing
Darling
Sweet note
I wrote
Organ
Such fun
Octaves
My faves
To play
All day
Loves art
Sweetheart
I choose
Bold hues
I draw
With glow
Hobbies
Bring peace
Simple being is what I worth the most
Any lofty ideals I won’t justify
I ditch principles and credos of those
Who are chosen to rule, born to lie
The existence I own makes enough
Foundation for the rest that I need
Like perceiving music, arts, feeling love
Taking care of the garden and weed
Hamlet’s question seems idle to me
Hope I don’t sound stiff or too proud
I’m your happy sad Jack - just to be
Is the most comfy thing I have found.
Beneath a tropical sun that glows bright,
Port Louis awakes to the shining light.
A vibrant pulse, a harmonious hum,
Where dreams arise and glowing futures come.
Modern buildings in brick and steel stand tall
Beside colonial shops near their wall,
Whispering history etched in each stone,
A heritage preserved, for ever known.
Port Louis holds a full-fledged banking heart,
With local and global deals split apart,
A commercial hub, with shops quite close by,
Packed with supplies one would dream in the sky.
It hosts an old administrative house
With government seat pitched at the sea`s mouth,
The busy harbour gleams, a sapphire deep,
Where southern breezes shielded, softly sweep.
From Caudan Waterfront, the view takes hold,
A glowing modern marvel, brave and bold.
A culture hub, the Caudan Arts Centre,
Upholds artists and singers` banner.
The streets filled with diverse shades of faces,
Reflect the mixed origins and races
Of the population, a melting pot
Of cultures, creed and colours in one spot
In city of old and new in one shot.
Open your eyes
Take a breath
Get out of bed
Get yourself dressed
Go to school
Talk to friends
Ignore the nagging feeling
Practice sports
Eat food
Don’t throw it up
Choke it down
Talk to friends
3rd period never ends
Think about life
Stop thinking about life
Walk to class
Study and stress
Volunteer
Extra work
Don’t fall behind
Honor grad
Grab your throat
Take a breath
Eat your lunch
Don’t throw it up
Talk to friends
Stress fever
Push it down
You don’t feel it
AP classes more and more
Don’t cry tears galore
Mama’s class
Sleep through it
You can speak
Swallow the glass
Loud noise
Small band
Your times in high demand
Get ready
Sports once more
Fail again
Again
Again
Go home
Eat food
Don’t let yourself puke
Do homework
Study more
Clean up
Do your chores
Take your pill
Toss and turn
Wake up
Open your eyes
Poetry paints prismatic word-pictures
A cubist painting programmed in plain air
Poetry and painting prize pure features,
For centuries, art crafted with grand care
Let us journey to juxtapose the two
Both attract the primeval painters' flair
With colours in rich red, yellow, and blue
Words sketching with wise theatrical care.
Try to catch and caress the words you see
Draw sights and sounds into your fractal soul
Organic lines jotted down joyously
As fractal forms that fill Metatron's scroll
Golden spirals smeared in an author's room
Are geometry's homage on a loom.
Art brings creativity, depth, evokes feelings,
connects people, reflects historical events,
preserves cultural values and traditions.
Art conveys aesthetic pleasures, one of its missions.
Choreographed dance expresses fluidity, grace highlighting
the dancers’ technical skills and control, ease and elegance.
Dance, an art form under performing arts focuses on connection
appealing to the senses of the dancers and audience is perfection.
Blues, classical, disco, electric, funk, gospel, hip-hop,
and rock, the influential one, are genres of music, another
art form and the most universal under performing arts
for it is a universal language that touches hearts.
Abecedarian, ballade, couplet, diamante, elegy, footle
are types of poems and poetry, an art form under literary
art, uses chosen language for meaning or words artistically to
connect to the reader’s emotions and imagination too.
The queen of hearts loves the arts
After the show, she will say bravo
And if you mess up off with your head
You will be dead
So the diamonds dance
The clubs are a choir
The spades write plays for days
The joker's joke
And the king sings
Terminology:
Crystal booths in a nocturnal snow.
significant downpours of shedding stars.
This said, feel free to scatter, scrabble or mash.
Words are fungible,
many still believe that poetics
do indeed belong to the fungi family,
though some have been classified
as many-limbed Triffids
of the squishy kind.
Now throw moondust at the reader's eyes:
Obscurity is essential, however, first create a window
that opens to reflect the thrower.
Rain down upon the moondust until mud takes shape.
There are no words for this process,
so, make some up.
Flourish:
Without a final flourish the poet is left with a turgid puddle
avoid turgidity at all costs, especially puddles.
Sprays of celebratory tinsel
or globs of gore are always effective.
Reaching for the stars with a palsied hand
will jerk tears out of a slab of concrete
eventually.
Swiftly leave the space you are now occupying,
other's will be impatiently waiting to craft their next masterpiece.
Simplicity
truth
and naturalness
are the three great principles
of beauty
in all works of arts.
I admire arts
Painting the most
Landscape I love.
Science they say
Is discovery
Poetry a craft
Properly put
An industrial Art
A genre of creative Art
But wherein
Is the place of the Muse
And wherein
Is the place of the Wordsmith…
In everything
And on a daily basis
I eternally thank God
That
Ohwojevwe Ese Ganiyu
Is a wordsmith
Divinely given
to mankind
by our creator
Precious arts transcend
Age: centuries, some not in
The figment of time.
Makeshift art
patches of cloth
second-hand music
on textbook drums
Cuisine foraged
from lawns untended
literature culled
torn pages blended
Creative genius
knows no bounds
objects of derision
make beautiful sounds
AI- now a new world for us;
create without worry or fuss.
With just a mouse click
you'll find a cheat trick
that offers what you can do- plus!
For artwork, a poem, and more
our hearts and minds love to explore!
Replaced by a bot-
accept it or not-
it's stealing the tasks we adore!
The paintings may seem nicely done;
and poems can use words that stun.
But missing a heart-
cold feelings impart;
emotions for sure, there are none.
Our talents are inborn- Amen!
When using a brush or a pen-
no bot can replace
the human embrace;
not ever before, now, or then.
There may be some who stoop to cheat
to get good reviews by deceit!
What glory is this?
True honor they'll miss
to use a machine to compete!
