Anubis

Life to death to afterlife
Anubis closes the sarcophagus
With words of farewell
To the mummy enclosed within,

“Expand your horizon
or shrink your vision
this perception
will be your universe,
and when you awake,
this will be the afterworld
you envisioned.”

Anubis

scarab
glinting indigo and peacock
symbol of resurrection
desert phoenix

you are a jackal
waiting, traitorous,
by my grave
to lunge and devour me,
licking my blood from your snout

you cannot consume my heart,
organ of my soul
for it has been weighed and measured
and I am gone to Osiris

but – see there
peeking out,
brilliant with the sun,
a tiny hint of emerald
glimmers in my smile

Premium MemberThe Lost Pharaoh

I’m an Egyptian
And my name is Jedeffrey
I am a Pharaoh

My pyramid’s lost
To Father Time’s shifting sand
And my mummy too

I pray Anubis
Will come and find me and then
I will live again

My body will rise
My pyramid will rise too
Then I will be whole

Body, heart and soul
Then I will wreak my revenge
On all who wronged me

Under a full moon
I will then become the Sphynx
My father’s father

I am become death
I am become the god Seth
Destroyer of worlds

Here in the desert
What goes around comes around
I’m coming for you!

Anubis Knows

Anubis knows the time
inside each molecule.
Imperceptivity different moments
tick-on in each atom.

The aggregate length,
of the space between
organic particles is recorded.

The reaction time
of all chemical soups
is set to almost midnight.

Anubis prepares a place for us
where all next steps
are predicted.

When we are delivered
to this underworld,
the heart
(an electric devise)
is preset
just for you and I.

Anubis Awaits

Anubis waits before the gates of hell,
To mummify your morbid love entombed…
With sustenance a sanguinary smell,
Despondent demonic desires consumed…

An enslaved eternal epitaph lies,
Love captured in a pernicious prison…
A cancerous confined in its chastise,
Within a duality sanctioned schism…

A passage in gold as now Osiris waits,
To search for your love in the hells below…
And thus they slowly glide the gilded gates,
Piously proclaiming my lover's woe…

For only love shall conquer great and small,
Even if you dine in hell's banquet hall.

In Ancient Egypt is the Greek name of the god of death...
Anubis is the protector of the gates to the Underworld,
Osiris replaced him as the god of the dead.

I'M a Black Anubis

I'm a black Anúbis
and I'm on the edge of my bed.
Oh glamor, the one I feel
when I roll in bed
and my feet huge or hot legs
twist and my trunk
I lick the snot of my voluptuousness.
I'm a Black Anúbis
and satisfy females
I am God, an intelligent God!

Whispers of Anubis

In a dark, dark room,
an eerie aura sorrounds;
deathly whispers crawl in the air,
sounding like incantations.

A sarcophagus lays still in the room,
whispers oozing out of it; no one knows
that the sarcophagus is a portal to the Underworld,
where Anubis and his cohorts reign.

Only the Book of Ra; its jacket containing the symbol
of the Scarab Beatle, that can chase away the whispers,
and curses from the whispers.

The evil dead continue to be undead, 'til when the Destined One
finds Ra's Book, and chants the verses that he sees.......

Anubis

Flail gripped in the crook of his arm,
canine,scavenging for scraps of life.
His blackened face the soil of the Nile.
Enbalming the deceased, encouraging
the afterlife, the rebirth for the worthy.
A decision not to be taken lightly.
Patron of the underworld, pathleader.
Jackal-like, conducting souls,
determining whether godly knowledge
and faith balances correctly,
upon the Scales of Justice.
Presenting the heavy hearts to Ammit
to destroy the wicked souls.
Lord and friend of the dead,
companion,tomb guardian,
be sure your heart is light as a feather.
