There's no I in team
I hate this saying
Am I not apart of the team?
When my coaches say it it's so annoying
It makes no sense
Like I get that there's literally no I in the word team
But if you think about it the other way then it's wrong
I don't know it might just be me
I receive another annoying alert on my phone
someone wants my vote, my money, my business
who are these creeps? These peons? these gnomes?
I hit report and send them to the land of ignore
I do not give strangers one ounce of my time
I am old
I could die any hour now
cut him loose everyone said
but if he was not so exasperating
why would she like him?
Met Lydia at a party
most were turning away from her
this made her more interesting to me
I like saving other people’s junk
she was a jokester, but her jokes were not funny
she liked me though, began following me around
I became a pariah now
no one wanted to include me
I kept thinking of ways to get rid of her
roll her up in a rug and toss her into a garbage truck
throw her out the six-story window
the more I dreamed the more I smiled
she thought I liked her

fly lands on my face
once is not enough twice now
annoys me greatly
she swiftly flies off
landing on the tv set

annoying buzzing

My sister, who is on the phone, asks me.
I listen a bit harder.
Can you hear that? She asks. It’s a bird, right?

A bird I had not noticed until now

Not merely rejected
Violently ejected
Booted out of the house and over the hill
Family is relieved she is down there still
mimicking Lu often copies me
terribly annoying, can't she see?
If I chopped my hair, she would chop hers too
No original thought or idea for Little Lu
It gripes me that she is this way
We used to play, now I stay away
If I broke my arm, she'd be wearing a cast.
Here she comes, so I am running fast.
Why do the texts keep on coming?
Why does my phone have to chirp?
Don’t they know,
the election is over..
It ended when I cast my vote.
