Along Flew a Bee

We may sit in the sun,
remembering the fun
of our youth.

Then a bee buzzes by,
to remind us 
of the truth

That flowers are pretty
and to the bee, sweet.

But memories can hide a sting
we wish not to repeat.

They walked barefoot on the wet sand.
The hot sun had dipped beyond the horizon.
The brine and fresh air intertwined,

Along the Line

Snooze of peace reigned on a collage
of sacred impulse for serenity of shelter —
bower-girthed and soul-inundated —
but along the line, a stampede, peccant
and harlotic,
framed the sun.

In the midnight's heart, along the shadowed path, I lose myself in dreams

Along For the Ride

Along For The Ride

The older I get the less I seem to know
Or even care
And the more I feel a somewhat detached
Observer.

I’m okay with this
Simply because there is no alternative
Although I’m sure a doctor could give me
Some drug or hormone to change my view.

And being okay with it,
Not resisting or

Along came a hoopoe once again

Everyone loves him. A nice amicable guy, as he is no relative, he is no refrain. He starts within a rhythm when  often a melody is surreal and soars along the flight of the song, up high, high above, where God knows everything about eternal time, beyond the worldly cacophony and hustle and bustle.

Along the Way

The raindrops fall into the paper cup of tea
The teabag shrinks as if it could be my remark
Unlatch the green door to the childlike mystery
It’s possible again to enter that old park 
The busts and statues of the gods and greats
And shaded benches in the niches of the trees
There in the memory another alley waits

Let's Just Get Along, Agree to Differ in Consensus

the world is bleeding
fighting never-ending wars
that began and raged
with beliefs and politics ~
peace never, in consensus

Sing Along With Summer

Summer stares, graceful
as the quiet chirps
birdsong, let’s sing along…
joy unfolding, on wings
listening for His voice
in the heart, the soul, anyplace

growing old, while the summer
restores the heart, the soul
breaking out in sweats of golden
sunlight, bursting from the heat
melodies so sweet…

gently playing against the ache
of a silent knowing, 
His love unfolding, like a distant 
star, reflecting all

dear special child
courage now moves
as faith propels by God's grace
from wheelchair, let's reach the top...
hope triumphs*.

Along with the Thunder
came Tempestas, goddess of storms
turtle doves scattered on  
corrugated roof, grey feathers flying when glimpsing her fierce amber countenance 
this is time of rattling cracked panes
loose screws
when weather ruled, seemingly profane
warmonger wind howls or laughs 
I know not which, my Being dwarfed
by Boreas, serpents coiled at depth
 
sombre matter ripples within
