Steven The Seagull

I saw him posing on his perch
While exploring Blackpool merch.
"The Snack Thief" is how he's locally known
Wide eyed, plump and holding his own.
He loves chips, ice cream cones and bread...
So keep an eye out over head!
He'll hover, then suddenly down he'll swoop
To gather up a hearty scoop.
Or he'll seem to dawdle by your side
But snatch your snack when you watch the tide.
He's very intelligent and with it sneaky.
But he is endearing, cute and cheeky.
Its advisable for tourists to feast inside
Where naughty seagulls don't reside.
Steven Seagull now lives with me
So he can't cause chaos near the sea!

Old Soul

Being an old soul,
In a new soul kind of world,

Bunny Boggins was a brilliant batter for sure.

Until he came along, they had such a losing streak.
He is up at bat right now; don’t make a squeak!

We have to keep that gorgeous bunny in the sunbonnet quiet.
Bunny Boggins is a lady’s man. If we lose, it might start a riot.

Develop patience which cures
Its power is indeed massive
Patience will rescue surely
Practice it to know its power

When you are in a great hurry
Better to use brain very calmly
Get not anger or tension dear
Just observe the happenings

Never mind making a sacrifice
Spend some time extra also
Study the situation keenly
Open not mouth, use brain

Sharp words never help at all
Swearing is an utter waste
Arrogance is not advisable
Quitting is really of no use

Best way is to nicely adjust

Falling in love 
Is not a simple affair
Romance carries the spark
That shines in your heart

Eagerly you pursue
Cheerful the light 
Fully you absorb 
Painful the fire

Women and Funny Bone

If you wonder why to men many
Womenfolk seldom seem born funny,
The reason’s straight forward
Based on what I’ve observed:
They need no humour to please any,
To them spade’s not just spade—
And menfolk included,
Let men give this truth not a penny.

Pandemic raging, many women work from home. And with domestic help either not available or not advisable, they have to look after the house, children and the kitchen.
Obviously they are hard pressed for the luxury of a lighter mood, and may give an impression that they lack a funny bone

What I Have Learned About Technology

Technology that is useful,
Is built by hands that are purposeful.
Technology that is helpful,
Is designed by the insightful.

Technology can still be mastered,
If enough of us don't get plastered.

Technology is a tool, that has more blades than a swiss army knife,
With the potential to enhance our life,
If we can still see what is real,
And give the planet time to heal.


Technology can be branded low tech or high tech,
So, we can decide what is needed on deck,
Not what we can get if we decide to take what is written on that cheque.

Technology that is reliable,
Is not always available.
Technology that is unfixable,
Is readily available,
And sits on every table. 

Technology that is harmful,
Is plentiful,
Technology that is sold to the gullible,
Is profitable.

Technology becomes compulsory in most lands,
When it is placed in government hands.

Technology has an impact that is undeniable,
For which you and I are liable.
So, while you are still able,
While you still have a brain that is rational,
Due diligence is advisable,
While the choice is still available,
For humans to do work that makes them essential.
