Abruptness Poems

The Cherry Sun and I

In skies of blue, oh what a sight!
The cherry sun hung very bright,
my eyes closed basking in its light,
my cheeks burned from its fiery bite.

Its hot rays wrapped me from behind.
Soaked in sweat, our bodies aligned,
and our spirits were now entwined.
In its warm arms, I was spelled binned.

In abruptness, the heavens cried.
Dejected, I heavily sighed,
watching the dark clouds be a guide,
leading the sun away to hide.

Bidding farewell, I left its sight,
before the day turned into night.

The Perfect Kiss

It is the perfect handedness of endless bliss
the cadence, embrace the double-mirroring kiss,
silence is the most notorious happiness parenthesis.

Even when the dual night vigil blew
All the stretched-out empty days reminded you
Of promises and tragedy that passion drew.
In the perfect kiss, we once knew.

But time has rendered a big part of this
their brilliance and space are in abruptness.
Death neither waits for happiness nor success.

Our separation passed on in the brief moments mist
Into the sad, fleeting, strange distance eclipse.
another starnge bliss paused here to gaze at this
less lonely existence parenthesis.

A Little Spot of Sadness

In my thoughts there's a little spot of sadness
Why do I have to think of how you hurt me
Anger,so much of it just blows with abruptness

You were so good to me, even in my madness
You were everything, how can I let you be
In my thoughts there's a little spot of sadness

Day by day my sunshine dimmed to blackness
My path of happiness was hard for me to see
Anger,so much of it just blows with abruptness

I was in love I did it with so much fadness
Making you happy was my life's key
In my thoughts there's a little spot of sadness

I knew no limit, I loved you in vastness
I became extreme with the zealous of a bee
Anger,so much of it just blows with abruptness

My thoughts about you gave me such gladness
Leaving you was hard, I did not want to agree
In my thoughts there's a little spot of sadness
Anger,so much of it just blows with abruptness

No Explanation

Those cries on the street still resonate in my head,
When at midnight, someone had shattered the dead-air of the night.
A few frail figures weeping in pain,
The commotion on the street,
Their helpless screams.

On that night, when the moon didnt shine,
The evil God had knocked on the poor man’s door.
The car had stopped for 3 seconds I remember,
And a head peered out of the driver’s window.
Before you know the pedals were hit,
And I could hear the engine dying away in a distance.

There he lay on the street,
Surrounded by people who I think were family.
I ran down to the road,
While i called for help.

And I saw him breathe the final breath,
Before I heard the sirens blaze.
And the lady still sobbing,
Over the abruptness life had hit her with.

freedom
we all seek..
searching for that
which will make us
free..
when not discovered
resignation reigns
and quiet desperation
begins new searching
until an Abruptness
in a moment
sets us free...

Leaving For My Own Safety

You are in a rage of huff
Being very strongly gruff
The abruptness in your voice
Is not leaving me a choice
I've been down this road before
Knowing what pain is in store
If i stay with one more chance
You are giving me that glance
Thinking eye contact will be
Weakening me instantly
I have to be strong and not
Let you put pain in my heart
Like you've done time and again
I need my life to begin
Without these torturous days
Your tempers been in the way
Of our happy life together
Thinking back I thought whatever
Came our way we'd work it out
With compassion--you just shout
Screaming words right in my face
That take me to a darker place
Than the brightened one we shared
With love showing we both cared
I have to leave for my own safety
Before all your forcefulness breaks me

Abruptness

She stubbed her toe
And tripped over the edge
But he caught her
And held her tight
Tight enough she shattered
He put her back together three or four times,
But once another little lady tripped over the edge
He dropped her over
So as she fell
She thought to herself,
"That was abrupt."

Premium MemberFloridians Asking Forgiveness

In a calm storm
the sea is waiting for refreshment.
The calm is a prelude
to more than peace.
Two times the lighthouse blinked,
abrupt in its stillness,
shy in its intention.

There, the ever present water
laps the shore with anticipation,
as if waiting to be born.
The mystery deepens
as the cold deep is mysterious,
peculiar in its abruptness.

The shelf of the sea is sloping,
sloping towards Atlantis.
All about the nets are cast,
waiting for a haul.
The interrupted daylight reels
	with discontent,
and the Floridians who sit comfortably
are one by one asking forgiveness.

Devil's Backbone

Its as if you were raised on the devils backbone
Strong doesn't begin to cut, especially compared to your knife
You don't care if dead or actually alive
You bring an abruptness into any form of life

You make nothing seem like everything
But it comes with a price
You sure know how to make it look evil
When it comes to playing nice

And like an army vice
Why do you need the help?
Treating no one as you need them, ever
Never as how the sea breathes the kelp

So many take you for granted
But your not even noticing their ignorance
You've even found ways to be okay
Be comforted by it in your own way of bliss

And I wonder if you hold on to anything inside
Has another woman made you remember her with just a kiss?
I wonder why you act so mad yet don't mind if I follow
But your eyes all the same towards me hold this hiss

And ill never take you for granted
Don't even care if I ever get to hold your hand
When it comes to strength and handling loneliness
By someone like you, I'm proud to stand

Gone Missing

In the still of the night
When the coldness bite
The northwinds the trees did rustle
As the fires flicker
With the harmonies of the nights bustle
There lies awake
Some instinctive mistake
The laws of the wild
Should bear in mind

As we listen to our elder
Our healer, sorcerer and befriender
He who speaks the word of wisdom
The history of many generations
All clarity in his explanations

There is a surprise and shock to be
For those who do not hear, or fail to see
We must use our senses
As a standard for our defense

With careless deeds and hasty wishes
Casting whims to tasteless dishes
With carefree vigour and youthful pride
Venture in the unknown
Not noting the story you listen
Rebuking wisdom with a frown
In the abruptness of a storm
You are missing!

The uncertainties of the wild
The only possession you own
Gone,gone, gone, never to return.

Blind

To truly see the eyes of an onlooker must be opened,
As for so long they are closed shut,
Complications which leave the mind stuck in a repetitive rut,
The blind continue on,
Even though they are unaware their own deception until all hope is gone,
The man or woman like a child crumples to a tortured tear,
Everything stripped from you blackness now your only dear,
All consumed in a searing abruptness,
Now intoxicated with fear the mind slips into deep twisted corruptness,
Done with normality,
Given up on finding reality,
Finally scraping bottom thou is loose from the bind,
With your torture in place no longer are you BLIND.

Face It

Where to start,
these rushing thoughts...
Mindless responses without regard
have left me in fear and guard of my innocence.

I fled to comfort
wrapping my limbs about familiarity
causing discouragement to pierce the emptiness in my stomach,
where butterfly's once so gently flew.

Unsettling words spill from behind tainted lips
pouring disgust on feeble ears of purity
turning me towards everything that is different from you...
wounds from the past poke and mock at my new scars,
now darting across my severely sore heart.

You give one hell of a performance
and construct one brilliant ballet of self destruction
thanks to the man apart from the rest standing in the shadows of the act
I at least have hope...

**Stimulates from my insecurity and inability to conform in the abruptness of change. Even
when something better stands by masked by the shadows, beckoning me with allusiveness... **

Suicide Default

Nothing was wrong with the leap;
It was made according to plan,
but the design was interrupted
by the abruptness of the plunge.
Maybe… there was a change of heart
somewhere in midair.
It is marked by a yelp of despair.
The sound of his pain bounces like a jax ball
from the walls of his cylindrical doom.
His every cry echoes like voices on St. Hilda’s square.
Each feeble movement, in his watery tomb,
vibrates like that old proverbial sound of the bongo.
He lie there; a bundle of pain,
and regret he didn’t measure the depth to his death.
The silence pinched the minute there,
while the little dirty-face angel argued his state elsewhere.
St. Hilda’s Memorial, the place of his death.
Under soft cotton covers he stole his last breath.

Kiss of Deception

The kiss was of passion
Desire, hot and strong
Staying in my memory
Long after we were gone

We talked of many things
Long into the night
Holding and caressing
Exploring delight

And when we parted
I thought nothing had changed
Our hearts seemed bound
For something long range

But a kiss of deception
Still holds a lie
And the abruptness of the ending
Is killing me inside

A kiss of betrayal
The bond came unwound
The last kiss received
Was one that let me down

Life

From the sweet smell of home,
Where we learn to love and grow,
Where we develop logic in the incandescent stars above,
To wherever life may take us,
Comes about the human condition of surety and doubt.
Finding the hazards that come in life,
Such as, the twisting labyrinth of life,
And the unmerciful abruptness of death,
Cannot be as superb as loving the ones your closest to
And cherishing the moments you have with them.

If times get rough because of life's twists and turns,
Then we may always turn to life's most primal of emotions;
Whether it be anger, remorse, or irrepressible joy.
And if we struggle about the seemingly impenetrable four corners of depression;
Hate, sadness, boredom, and distress;
Then we will beckon the ones we need most in this hurtful time in life.

When we find our course again,
And know which way we are going,
We will then have the knowledge to expect,
Yet, another one of life's meaningful challenges ahead.
And so, everyday we will know that life is filled with difficult times,
And a lot of life experiencing lessons.
