Contest Description
What to Submit?
This is for anyone who knew our friend Connie and was inspired by her in one way or another. This is a very simple contest (actually, it's not even a real contest since everyone will be placed the same unless you write something inappropriate and get N/A'd) that I am doing for Connie's family. In five lines or less, describe a specific thing Connie did for you, OR a certain thing Connie said to inspire you. it does not even have to be about poetry. If she was more than just a poet to you, you can write about something she said to you or did for you as a friend outside the realm of poetry!
I will keep the "un-contest" going as long as it takes to get around 50 entries. If I don't get that many by the end of October, I will close the contest out.
You may use any short form of poetry or you may simply write out a short paragraph and call it narrative form. Try to be as specific as possible. Go to old poems of yours on which Connie commented and said something to inspire you. Or maybe go to HER poetry and tell us how a poem of HERS inspired you in the past. If you never knew Connie, you can go find one of her poems and describe how it inspires you right NOW (Be sure to mention the title of her poem in case others want to read it). You can mention more than one thing about Connie, but keep it to five lines or less. I want people to come to my winners list later on and make the time to read all the tributes to Connie that I hope to finally show her family.
Everyone who meets the above requirements is a winner!
