Contest Description

What to Submit?    A NEW, DATED, RHYME POEM OF 14 LINES

For this contest, I want you to write me a rhyming poem using my invented form called, Fragmented Rhyme, it is 14 lines with lots of indention and a rhyme pattern to follow. Do not divide it into stanzas, I would like one 14 line poem.  I am not asking for specific syllables, but be reasonable. Take your time, you have a month ! It looks complicated but it isn't, just give it a try and you will be surprised.  It is basically a rhyming poem with indention as the layout.

Line 1-   Indent 24 spaces -   A

Line 2-   Indent 12 spaces-    B

Line 3-                                 A

Line 4-                                 B

Line 5-  Indent 24 spaces-     C

Line 6-                                 C

Line 7-                                 C

Line 8-  Indent 6  spaces-      D

Line 9-  Indent 12  spaces-    D

Line 10-Indent 24 spaces-     D

Line 11-                                A

Line 12-Indent 12 spaces-      B

Line 13-Indent 6 spaces-        C

Line 14-Indent 12                  D

You can look at my poem called, Winter Wildflower as an example of the FORM ONLY, the words of the poem have nothing to do with this contest.

TITLE IS THE THEME WORD PLUS 3 WORDS OF YOUR CHOICE

THEME IS BETRAYAL - CAN BE FICTIONAL

or true to life as we have all been betrayed in our life at some point, by friends, co-workers, family ie husband, wife, children, parents, siblings or lover or even life itself, perhaps death.   Make me feel the betrayal in your words. Or the poem can be fictional, lucky you, if never betrayed.

A Note to Poetry Contestants **** Multiple Placements

There will be MULTIPLE PLACEMENTS  in my contest, as usual.  If this bothers you, perhaps skip this contest. Sometimes, after judging poets change their poems by changing title, removing requirements, adding names, etc.  I have no control over this.  Images, audios and videos are welcome as usual.

Contact me by soupmail if you have questions.
