I Dream of Betrayal

I DREAM OF BETRAYAL I dreamt of you again I thought all that was past But there you were, recalling all that pain, Just when I thought that I’d moved on at last. You stood, arms open wide, Inviting me once more to come inside, Rekindling the love I thought had died. You smiled that special smile, And for a while My heart forgot your ruthless guile. But then, behind you, tall and vain He stood; the villain of the cast The one who’d snatched you from my side. Please don’t come again, I’m too fragile. Well penned, Bryn. True love strikes the unsuspecting heart at the strangest times. What a cruel waste of energy when we're stuck loving someone who doesn't deserve it. Been in both places... there is nothing that compares to loving someone who is committed to you.
