Gratitude for the routineness of our lives

Blog Posted by Kathleen Kroll: 11/27/2016 10:30:00 AM

It's the end of the TG holiday.  We have enjoyed time with family, time to reminisce, time with grands, good eats and laughter.  As wonderful as this is, I'm ready for a little routine.  Perhaps, this is because I'm innately an introvert.  Routine gets a bad rap.  But perhaps it's our anchor.  We know the schedule.  There is time to contemplate our navels (as they used to say).  There is time to grow and experiment and time for the things that make our daily lives important -- like exercise, and volunteering and writing.  I know I'll be ready to do it all over again at Christmas.  But right now I'm ready for a little routine and even boredom.  How about you?

Good points, Kathleen. Innate introvert here too, but a creature of excess, never knowing when to stop, always having to get to the top of the mountain, for better or worse. Sometimes, we all have to recharge, whether it's just getting enough sleep, for once, or change on the grand sweeping scale of a lifetime. Here's to dousing one end of the candle.

I love my routines, but the special occasions give us our "memories" because those are the times we get together with loved ones, etc. So for different reasons I love both!!

Jan, but you have that Bonfire night on Nov. 5 and would you please tell me. Is a cracker jack a fire works thing?
