Song For The World (Poetry Soup Collaboration)

So... my recent poem Detente suggests that we share our muses and create a song for all the world to hear. Though it was never intended to be a real invitation I got to thinking - why not? Based on some of your responses to the poem perhaps it could be done. I'll gauge the response to this blog to determine feasability.
I have two ideas in mind:
1. The song could be a winner in a contest sponsored by me with possible input from a few others willing to help judge.
2. Let all poets who are interested contribute a single line of verse to a song collaboration which I would then tweak and arrange in a coherent manner similar to what was done in my love letter - Beatles tribute poem. Even foreign language submissions could be eligible if an English translation was provided for relevance.
Relevance to what? Why, the theme of course. The title is: Song for the World. The theme would be poetic peace, love, harmony. Regardless of whether we decide on option one or two the finished song would be posted in it's entirety as a blog to maximize exposure.
Let's show the world that we can unite under the banners of peace and unity and that petty differences and opinions can be set aside in order to accomplish a common goal. Anyone can contribute, including all my lovely blockers and other various and assorted frenemies.
ps. for inspiration take a listen to the song We Are The World (lyrics included in video)
