Well my copy arrived yesterday and was looking forward to reading it but on opening the large cardboard package noticed the top of the spine was all bashed, like it had been dropped from a great height. What happened to quality control, don't they check items before sending them out.? They've told me they'll send out a new one this week. But if the new one isn't in a pristine condition that's going back to Amazon as well. My last anthology went back too for a replacement as they hadn't numbered the pages. You couldn't make it up.

UPDATE. New one arrived today, perfect condition. They said no need to send the damaged one back. Well they couldn't sell it on, so it turned out buy one get a damaged one free

It's a pain in the ### Tom, I always give them a second chance so let's hope they get it right this time. They needn't think they're offloading their junk on me lol.

LOL...maybe that's why you got the Black Friday deal. :) Seriously, there should be much better QC. I live in the country, and if the postal service can can bend, fold, or mutilate packages to stuff in my roadside mail box they will...just so they don't have to deliver to my door. I hope you get a pristine one this time! :)

I have bad experience with Amazon - The first book I ordered (Nursery Rhymes and Stories from Poets Around the World Book - by Eve Roper) ... never arrived at my house ... for 3-4 months ... I sent several mail ... called ... over and over ... never got a response ... no money back - After this I have not dared to order from Amazon ... there are more books I wish I had

That's shocking Anne-Lise, some companies really need to look after their customers. They've agreed to ship another book but it had better be perfect or that'll be going back too. Tom

That’s terrible. I got a package from Amazon yesterday and the product inside was falling apart as I opened the box. A pet peeve is that they never knock or ring the doorbell when leaving a package. Hope your new one arrives in perfect shape, Tom.

Tom, oh no, hope the next one you receive is in good condition. I ordered three copies and they are all good, look new, no issues. I am sure has to do with the shipping part.

The problem is you're at their mercy, I'll give them another chance and if it's not mint condition it can go back too. I'm sure I'll be able to get it from another book store, Tom
