Manage your poems

Blog Posted by Tom Cunningham: 6/20/2019 3:43:00 AM
I hope soupers did not lose poems in the recent problems that soup encountered. A few weeks ago I picked up on a comment someone had made about saving your work. It's not well known after speaking to some fellow poets on here. In your manage poems section there is a line that says EXPORT POEMS written in blue. If you click that you have four options, pdf, word, Excel or HTML. I use word and it saves a word file to your computer with every poem you've ever written, it doesn't overwrite so I delete the old file and just keep the most up to date one. The file is only kilobyte's in size and It only saves poems, not pics or comments. It's a great feature and saves a lot of frustration and heartache.

speaking of this, ALSO print them out. I have a project I need to do today: go through all my printed out poems and organize them. A HUGE chore is ahead of me!!!

You're welcome Line, it was only emailing others that I realised that many didn't know about it. I'll continue checking the site for other gems that are on here. Tom

Many thanks Tom, I had never noticed that before. I do always save my poems in Word, but have decided to do this also - always the cautious one, haha... Kindest thoughts Ann xx

Thanks Ann, when I write a poem I export a new file and just delete the previous one, crashes happen and we have to.keep one step ahead. Tom
