Premium MemberWindy Nights and Mornings

Blackened tendrils take the trees,
Take the skin by follicle,
Empty matter, pushed debris,
Pressed and parabolical.

Zephyrus claims, lack of choice,
Echoes through the aether,
Chaos calms his quiet voice,
To suffer with the weather.

Windows shutter, clap in tune,
Aeolus purring bag and pipe,
Uilleann iron, aural rune,
Despite aptitude and gripe.

Nonetheless the Iris slims,
To folded air in lack of light,
Cluttered ever in the whims,
To that which chances sight.

Premium MemberI Feel The Eagle Feathers Of Zeus

Inspired by Ink

Hermes, Patron God of travelers in winged sandals and caduceus staff
you claim Godspeed as you fly on and on and on
Nike, Goddess of victory, athletic troubadour, sweet paramour
you claim God speed as you fly on and on and on
Iris, Goddess of the rainbow in Divine and mortal realms you go
you claim God speed as you fly on and on and on
Eros, God of love, you take wing with cupid bows and arrow
you claim God speed as you fly on and on and on
Boreas, as the north winds blow, you are winter's God of power
you claim God speed as you fly on and on and on
Zephyrus, with a light wind gentle breeze every springtime, you bestow
you claim God speed as you fly on and on and on
Zeus, Greek God of lightning I feel your eagle feathers as I muse,
as I claim Godspeed, flying on and on and on
you open me the door and I am there once more *
like a Godly inspired, “Dumbledore."

You claim God speed as you fly on and
on and on and on, on and on and on.

Ps: Dumbledore is the old English word for bumblebee.

ZEPHYR

ZEPHYR

As the Greek God of the west wind
I am Zephyrus, my home is Thrace
Bringing life for the seasonal rebirth
With a neutral colour of blueish plum
I can blow hard but softer than some
Yet vital for growth across this earth
As wind, I’m air but without a trace
Into the East with whom I’m twinned

Kaleidoscopic: Collab With Jo

"This was a kaleidoscope of beauty, the dials spinning, ever changing, but never anything short of spectacular." ~ Kristen Ashley

Enjoying the kaleidoscopic view,
As the sky changes to a brilliant hue,
Songbirds fly across the clouds to their home,
As the azure becomes a salmon dome,

From Zephyrus’ realm comes soft soothing breeze,
Scattering  the billows with so much ease;
The sun’s last golden showers, filtered through,
Make a dazzling dance--a fantastic view!

Now day turns to dusk, the sky is subdued,
As from gay erstwhile to a pensive mood.
Still the expanse of sky, horizon, land
Fails not to awe, drawn by the Master’s hand.

Tangerine sun recedes slow from the scene,
Entering demurely is the night queen,
What a sight to behold is this sunset!
Nothing's more kaleidoscopic as yet!

Spirited Gestures

Cast restlessness about the wind,
That toss and empty leaves from trees,
The autumn season sees them thinned,
A tingling sense of breathing squeeze,
Be auburn reds hint golden scene,
Like royal robes and crowning queen.

Genteel polish a crystal shine,
Oblige passage involving wake,
Luster beckons whispering shrine,
A pristine call edges a lake,
Mindful ears recognize courses,
Coming wafts like thirsty horses.

Slight Boreas push chills a bit,
Zephyrus cut short, warms again,
A tit for tat that never quit,
The disturbed rest till strength regain,
Nature takes heed and nothing more,
Benumbed deep down within its core.

Relaxed lay calm felt now surrounds,
Idling base fresh breezes fill,
Perianths rise and fall on grounds,
Prompts unfailing the currents spill,
Unseen traces the length of thee,
Forces abound heaven's decree.

Acrid smoke in the scientist’s bell jar
Blankets of chenille-covered snow
Crystalline carbon diamond star
Drips forming stalactites grow
Effervescent waterfalls’ dreams
Frothy-topped cappuccinos
Gelid surfaces of lakes and streams
Halos of angels in holy repose
Icebergs splitting from their source
Jasmine-covered pergolas in Spring
Knuckles clenched in fear or remorse
Love’s purest form sobering
Mandala patterns on frosted window
Newly-born flamboyant flamingos
Opalescent lustre of pearls on show
Pineapple-licious snow cones
Quills of the porcupines’ defense
Ringlets of great-grandparents’ hair
Steamy hot springs vapor intense
Trailing wisps of London fog air
Undulating winter foothill maze
Veils of fine tatted lace purity

Zephyrus' Delight

Instinct flashes
  past the speed of light

Intuition imploding
  Zephyrus’ delight

Detached from its fuel source
  tale on fire

The comets direction
  —reversed and inspired

Premium MemberDay In the Life of a Late Summer Day

Sleep.. indigo’s eyes, night loving allies,
Sol’s flare is stars' disguise dawn till dusk’s reprise,
peach awe-inspired skies effuse juice sunrise,
east, grapefruit pink lies - lemon slice rhapsodize.
Pastel wash replies to Zephyrus sighs,
morning glory highs yield to afternoon’s surprise..

wings golden butterfly's, squires sun clockwise,
ruddy west implies cocktail hour’s devise,
sunlight’s demise creeps in blueberry dyes,
plum, mango fraternize as prim-rose chastise.
Sunset complies sending signal-light fireflies,
Wake! indigo’s eyes, night loving allies,
tantalize poets to romanticize.

Premium MemberSweet Zephyrus - a Love Letter

Oh Zephyrus, sweet Zephyrus,
westerlies' bouquet nectarous
lilac layered flirtations sail
wings whimsical whiff my skin pale
butterfly kisses generous..

music you breathe melodious
chorus of wind-chimes feverous
sounds, symphonic in gentle flail,
oh Zephyrus..

hands breezy - touch me delicious
flowers long-stemmed dance capricious
exhales enchanting do prevail
sighs satisfying without fail
licks sweeping softly amorous,
oh Zephyrus.

Premium MemberOn Eagles Wings

Paying no tribute to the craggy outcroppings
     of its lofty aerie,
this sentinel of freedom takes its leave.
Soaring with the courage of a Feudal Warrior,
proud of his nobility, secure in his repute.
     Floating effortlessly on
     Zephyrus winds sweeping wave,
as if he were its only passenger.
     His keen vision sees mortality
and dispenses it out of necessity
with irreproachable honesty and no regrets.
Fiercely challenging the bounds of earth and heavens,
he knows no foe, save one.
     One whose frailty of condition
can't perceive of this natural independence,
and knows not of its integrity.
     In spite,do prevail great raptor,
     and with you carry hope
     that will nourish us all,
     your nest bound hatchlings.

Premium MemberGod of the Western Wind

Zephyrus, mighty God of wind, slips over western slopes

to nudge the winter, in quick adieu, ..unfurled against the blue.

He is husband of Khloris, a goddess of the green

He is father of the fruited vine, and all the fruited trees

which bend and bow to every breeze, that curl around his head.

The stalky lupines long for him to take away the chill,

while blue wild flax, will wave and swoon, upon the purple hills.

A colored carpet wide and deep, is sweeping to the eye

with clover green, so fragrant, lush, and it reaches to the sky

to feel the depth of warming breath, exhaled with just his sigh

His warming breath embraces youth, and jealousy is kin

Appollon's love for Hyakinthos, may bring a tragic end

We must ignore his boorish pride, for he thaws the frozen land

and takes command when springtime comes, when green is in demand

The Four Winds

Boreas laughs and of his power we will know
His breath in anger, a white blanket appears
He breathes out the north wind and snow
The master of cold and snow it appears

Zephyrus the calm one, sprinkles hope from the west
The bringer of hope, the father of fruit and of flower
From Boreas won Chloris, she loved him the best
Unlike his north brother, land didn’t devour.

Notus, jealous of the crops Zephyrus brings forth
Through summer he rages bringing storm from the south
Determined in storms to scorch the lands to the north
Flattens crops with hot winds when he opens his mouth

But Euros the unlucky one, is he weak is he wild?
Different from Zephyrus, Notus and Boreas that blow.
From the East, he is either violent or mild.
But insignificant it seems to his brothers, we know.

But the God of all says he will hold these winds back
If not, none would be saved.
For come the day he takes his Kingship back
The land with false gods will be paved.

Premium MemberSummer's Zephyr

Zephyrus, the god of the wind from the west
Gently blows where the lily grows
 He is springtime's welcome guest

In early summer he whispers to the rose
As she sways in his warm caress
He gently blows where the lily grows

The winds of *Notus may give her stress
For he brings the summer storms
But she'll sway in Zephyrus's warm caress

The winds of *Boreas are never warm
He brings the cold winds of winter
While Notus brings the summer storms

Icicles on window sills begin to splinter
As the winds of Boreas make us shiver
He brings the cold winds of winter

His icy breath is upon the river
With gusts that never seem to rest
The winds of Boreas make us shiver
But Zephyrus is springtime's welcome guest

Zephyrus Breezes

Zephyrus breezes speak gently-
Undertones of placid eras alive in memory-

Tumult rages awaiting rigorous gates to detonate their command,
Planning utter obliteration of finite serene ways…

Blue and pink swirls of peaceful dusk
Replaced with a grey and murky inferno

Eyes of Hades suck cherished life
from all vibrant beings.

Shallow surf lazy with time,
Cruelly tricked - turned to tides of torment.

Deceptive frailness fractures
serene, primordial peace.

Where is the dignity?
Noble causes massacred-
Equanimity executed under the breast
upon which we all feed-

Ceaseless greed-
Ultimately the beast we feed.
Looming vulnerability of us-
The annihilation breed
