Line of inquiry:
“joy, empathy, compassion
on an upward arc
an effervescence eternal
causes bliss ignition to start” - Unseeking Seeker

When sanctity of sane sense turns into anger inferno
with fury embers erupting from the violent volcano,
curling up feral with the spreading smoke of spite,
rationale rays remain concealed in sobriety spectrum.

We need not run away from the blaze to self-heal,
or seek shelter in the disdained den of disregard,
nor we should ignite another flame in enraged soul,
face malice intrepidly, and feel good in retaliation.

As a fire can’t ever extinguish or contain another fire,
for, it burns fast in the linked space of attachment,
we confront malevolence with calm confidence of poise,
don’t let the flame incinerate the serenity of our souls.

When flow of absolution springs with love from within
with embracing empathy of mounting divine fountain,
compassion douses spiteful fire with sympathy shower,
emanating with timeless joie de vivre of innate ecstasy.

Premium Member The Gratitude Walk

I walk along the slippery shore.
of the shingled beach
that welcomes the inland sea.
The sun rises slowly in the east,
lighting my way amongst
the small rocks and drying seaweeds.
There is a lift inside me
that nurture enthusiasm.

Peace and quiet reign around
disturbed occasionally by the barks
of sprightly dogs that race upon the sand,
the squawks of gulls gliding gluttonously
swooping down for their repast.

I look with sympathy on other walkers
on the beach. Thus, I meditate,
a marvellously therapeutic exercise.
Who am I, Lord, to deserve all this?

The quiet meditation calms my mind.
lowers my blood pressure,
a spiritually potent release.
My mind is tranquil,
I know who I am,
my soul is happy.

You cannot be all things to all people
No matter how you try.
It takes time to understand this,
I am beginning to wonder why,
I took so long to realise this
Do I still need to try?
I'll always offer a listening ear,
With sympathy and wisdom
But
Sometimes listening to others
Becomes too much
And the listener needs a crutch to lean on
Or a listening ear
And this becomes an endless circle
Without a solution, I fear.

Fly High,Edward Ebbs

Dear PoetrySoup friends,

I haven’t been around much lately, but when something touches one of our own, it hits deep. A few hours ago, Ed Ebbs ’s wife shared the sad news of his passing. My heart is heavy. Ed wasn’t just a talented poet, but a devoted family man, a gentleman, and a kind soul, always faithful to his beliefs.

Let’s take a moment to visit his poetry, honour him, or say a prayer for him and his loved ones.

.Ed Ebbs:

He lived with kindness, grace, and care,
A faithful heart, so rich, so rare.
His words will linger, soft and true,
A gentle soul, we’ll not forget you.

In quiet strength, he led the way,
A beacon bright, both night and day.
His legacy, in every line,
A lasting gift, pure and divine.

Now joined with angels up above,
He rests in peace, surrounded by love.

With sympathy,

THE-PINK-PURPLE-FLOWER

Dear bouquet, I pour out my plea,
When the day has come, and the sun is the only light we see,
Pacing down, I set  my eyes on a beautiful pink-purple hued flower,
Its good aroma calls in the bees, a home of comfort,
Nevertheless, the atmosphere is filled with betrayal and ungratefulness as the bees in return beats it down,
Such a pitiful sight, broke my heart,
Leaning down I said " you won't be afraid, just as long as you stand by me"

Filled with sympathy, I plucked the flower to give it peaceful rest.
I sought a room, but found none, so I gave it a stay in my heart, a treasure to behold.
It became pretty, hale, and pert,
We were mutually driven by faith.

Until one day, there cometh a florist,
He hit me with his hammer, vanquished I am not able to protect my treasure
my treasure is pampered, and taken away
"Oh darling, stand by me" I cried
coincidence do happen, I can't be worried by the  incident.
I'm devastated, my treasure rejects me, proving it will be safer in the hands of the florist, who would only use her for his marketing sales.
You're able to read this then my days are gone

Never to be Forgotten

To some, it’s a lifetime ago,
To some, it still feels like yesterday,
To some, it was before their time,
But it will be remembered come what may.
Regardless of the time that passes,
The memory of that day remains,
The heinous act, the devastation,
The tragedy, the pain.
On this day, twenty three years ago,
Innocent lives were cruelly lost,
Hearts broken, lives ruined,
Dreams were scattered and tossed.
A city was broken that day,
But it wasn’t to be beat,
It rose again like a phoenix,
It did not bow down in defeat.
Although bereft,
Forged together in grief,
They were one for all, all for one,
In their own belief.
Those affected are remembered,
With sympathy and love,
Those lost souls are never forgotten,
As they look down from the skies above.
Today we stand in union,
Side by side, together,
In respect, in remembrance,
Come whatever the weather.

Loathing

You are a tree with thousands of leaves.
Yet you let them splatter.
You are human being who deceives,
thence your leaves do not matter.

Without your leaves,
You are a tree waiting for its chopper.
You are just a jabber,
with nothing to consider.
You are less momentous than before
Hence, they are your virus with no cure.

In their presence
You become more attractive.
With them there is a lot of difference.
As they water you, your roots become more active.
Their faces no longer appear with sympathy.
Even, He, Himself starts treating you with equity.

Hebrew War

Hebrews war
We see them breaking every law of criminal conduct like it should be an everyday occurrence
We are told by the eminent Jordan Peterson, that the people, from the back and beyond Turkey, are clever, and impressed Peterson who otherwise is pre-occupied with worried builders and carpenters
whom Jordan thinks needs him
You will not hear him say:
“Intelligence, if not combined with sympathy and understanding, is valueless”(like Nazism?)
The land they took, the backwood people, when fooling the Balfour Commission was grotesquely
brilliant and deeply insane.
The Jews are disliked in the Arab world when seeing how shoddy the Palestinians are treated; as we know intelligence can often end as idiocy, as there is no coherent sense of practical awareness which the average Jews understand, relying on bookish learning and forgetting the human aspect, is ten times more clever, but often unable to give a voice for the insight they have.
As for the Jews, they are not nation builders as we see in Israel, they are the people of the book telling us of the next inflation,
In this war, their army behaves as IA doing what is practical, not what is wise.

Treasure

Got a face not that bad
And a silent mouth
A secret heart
About no one thought
A rude expression
But a caring reality
'Brows always up
And eyes always rolls
A mature structure
But a childish soul
A "I am okay alone"
But a craving soul
May pretend to not care
But filled with sympathy
My outward and inward are opposites
But I guess you can't see
My silence has locked my soul
Would love if you find the key
You'll be the one with whom I'll flee

True Joy

Try to be very very wise
Make this world like a paradise
Drive away darkness make sunrise
Make your mind holy and so nice
Don’t be greedy please compromise
With sympathy please fill your eyes
Love is the power of good guys
Please be patient or pay the price
Try to vanish all’s tears and sighs
In other’s hearts your true joy lies
Sing this song before music dies
Dance in joy like the butterflies

Road

This circle's a dead end
Now
Repeat after me
I will follow your lead
Repeat for me
Dead to the end
With sympathy
Don't mourn me
For I'm still here
Suffering
Like you endlessly
I take a right turn
Turns out I'm wrong
What can you see
If not shadows of trees
Roots to the earth
Man's misery
Dead to all life
Though we are reborn
Hearts still beating
Concussion in thorns
Memories of light
While sat in a hole
Darkness painting
Masterpieces for all.

Premium Member My Plea

My Plea

This my plea O world
That drags the dream of peace
Through the mud of wickedness

Rise
From the egotistic slime to wash away
Self-centered muck

Loosen
Your profane feet of clay
From self-absorbed quick sand

Break through
The entitled self-interest of the arrhythmic heart
To the steady beat of the heart of all hearts

Release
Sludge filled veins of self-importance
To freely flow with innocence’s compassion

Lift up
The hands smothered by erupting ashes
Of the shameless vicious with sympathy

Immerse
Self-seeking vanity of the starving soul
Into the Samaritan’s fountain

Transform
The narcissistic selfie flower
With unfettered grace

This my plea for peace, O world
Sing the dream of dreams vision
Pray the prayer of prayers hope
Speak the speech of harmony
Live the life of peace.

Premium Member Mother India

Oh, Mother India,

The sacred smock of your cremated children
Over your revered land, I see

The lamentations of the death-stricken families
I daily hear

The unbearable agony of your offsprings, in my
heart, I constantly feel.

Do not despair holy India, for it is not only me that
shows compassion

But

The whole world, with sympathy, has turned its
Eyes upon you

All nations are willing to assist you to overcome this
Horrible affliction

Thus

You to return to your illustrious status

And

The love of humanity to be glorified!
