Premium MemberWoman Wrapper

You are always staying home
My neighbour muttered
Yes, I always do, I answered.
You are a woman wrapper, he replied.

I like to retire to the comforts of my home
  after work,
If so, so be it
I am a woman wrapper

I prefer the company of my wife, than clubbing
  and drinking
If so then, so be it.
I am a woman wrapper

I prefer to watch cartoons and help the kids with
  their homework and other stuffs.
If so then l am labelled as a woman wrapper.

I am a woman's wrapper, I don't mind
As long as it endears me to our children
I am a woman's wrapper, I Don care
As long as my marital vows are kept.
I am a woman's wrapper as long as
my wife loves me and I love her.
Indeed and in words;
I am a woman's wrapper.

Premium MemberA Salute To Our Pastor's Wife

God be praised for our Pastor’s wife
Virtuous woman* exuded by her countenance
Paragon of spiritual lady’s blest fullness indeed
Fulfilling roles with feminine elegance
Graciously living according to Bible creed
Meeting her family's maternal need.

The Lord be thanked for our Pastor’s wife
Possessing faith of steward with servant-heart qualities
Steadfast as a loving mentor of godly influence
Caring teacher and discipler marked by truth-verities
Diligent homemaker as well as prudent* spouse in her reigning prevalence
Midst her mother and grandmother's joyously cheering presence.

Dear Ma'am Dhel,
Blessed birthday to you. We thank God for your life. You are a blessing to us.

*Proverbs 12:4 - A virtuous woman is a crown to her husband: but she that maketh ashamed is as rottenness in his bones. Proverbs 19:14 - ... a prudent wife is from the LORD.

Today is a time that is like no other,
For the virtuous wife and bless’ed mother,

While her husband works the ground to yield,
She works beside him in the field.

She is his help, his right hand man,
The world on his shoulders,
she is his stand.

Baring his seed, expands his name,
defends his honor against all shame.

She mends what’s broken in the home,
Holds down the fort when he is gone.

Guards house and home both night and day,
never once relent to pray.

Accountant, cook, and housekeeper,
Duster, polisher, and home sweeper.

Scold the naughty, spank the mischievous,
Discern the truth teller from the devious.

Teaching her daughters to make them wives,
Her sons to live godly lives.

She hires the help, gives helping hand,
Handy lady to the handyman.

She’s the only one who goes, without a pay,
Though she’s rewarded every day.

She then adorns herself, for her handsome King,
To reward him warmth within her wings.

To whisper strength within his ear,
that if not for him, her heart would fear.

The wife and mother today, is as soft as strong,
She is everything right amidst all wrong.

Crystals Dance Inside My Dreams

The needle was my destiny
yet I choose to be free,
crystals dance inside my dreams
but I choose life
no more flames licking at a glass bowl,
no more chasing fantasies
my faith changed me;
to be a faithful wife
and loving mother,
no longer a lowly drug addict
laying on the bathroom floor,
with blood dripping from my arm
angels know my name
and Jesus sings me to sleep,
forever found
and lost to the game,
my friends don't recognize me
they're stuck in a haze
a cloud so thick
you can see it for days,
drugs made me steal
but love made me heal;
I'm finally living the dream.

Second Indian Wedding

Colors of life, fertility, sanctity fly
Aromas include sweetmeats, coconut, fire
There's flowers galore, honey, spices
Not for meals only, but especially decoration
Focus now on the bride: Vermillion path
From the Center of her head, to her top height
A sign of vows of fidelity in blood (SINDOOR)
As with red dot: bindi, RED FOR MARRIAGE
Other colors are for youth and single women
The man arrives on horseback (donkey often)
Turbaned as of old, shiny suit, India style
The usual makeup dominated by mascara KAJAR
I may dream my Christian wife would like this, too

Our God Reigns - With Humble Power

I
Humans boldly march to their fall:
My utter dependence on Jesus
Surprises, shocks, my foe, friend, family

II
O so often a male friend harbors envy
Invited to visit home & family
They spin webs, but God humbles them

Hallelujah; even "pastor friends" have shown pride, double standards, & I am less open to a wide open door (policy!); my duty is to protect my family & their integrity as Jesus-followers

She's Chicken and I Love Her

I
She's now almost four months old
He is at least four months older
She is half-sister, sharing a mother
So far, she, Kaalnek, somewhat bolder
Than her half-brother, somewhat Christian
Remains pure, virgin, or I'm no "farmer-observer"

II
Kaalnek is the bare-necked pet, my Chicken
She refuses the advances of Mr. Five
He courts so arduosly, like other species
Of bird and fowl, clucks with excited voice
And delicious tidbits, morsels for poultry
She may have enjoyed his attention
But remains on the run ... Incest unwelcome?

Resurrection

Separation can be the death of a loving relationship,
but can resurrection come too?
Can one give a reprieve from
Braking bonds that bind.

Threads that tie heart to hearts.
Sliced lingering emotions apart
as death comes…

To the spirit of life shared,
separation of self from the one.
A little death, the dates inscribed
in broken tombstones.
But, one still loves even if the other declines.

IF?

Can one forgive and move on?
Can those carved words be scrubbed?
Will you change your tone?

Can one mend the fences and
bring the horses home
re-tie the threads that hold?
Can we resurrect the love from its little death
An raise like the Lazarus in all of us?

Can the bonds rebind?

A separation is undone a war won.
Can resurrection come?
Separation can be the death
of love
of a relationship….

But…

Resurrection?

One Flesh

ONE FLESH

My father and mother I leave,
Unto you I cleave,
Until one twine we weave,
And one flesh achieve.

This vow I make with love,
Sealed with this book from above,
This day have I sold,
My heart to you to hold.

Dreams of endless bliss,
Nights, like one long kiss;
Oh my love! My love glows,
Like streams, where joy flows.

Frayed with time, the edges may be;
A few knots here and there,
But this cord strong shall be;
The core, a mine of diamonds rare.

Thorns and thistle now spring,
Itching under my golden ring,
Cares and caresses ebbing away,
Tears and fears a trickle a day.

The place of my vow still I stand,
Our hearts a cord of endless strand,
This garden, we’ll tenderly tend;
Until we gather every thistle and thorn.

Oh my love! You’re mine to hold,
My goods; though few, are to you sworn;
Your smile is my heart’s gold,
And when you say, I love you; I swoon.

Communicatory Eyes
Written: by Miracle Man

(my wife’s Birthday)

Her eyes can cut like shards of glass,
Yet speak to me, that I’ve got class.

Her eyes have pierced my very soul,
While encouraging me in life’s goal.

Her eyes reveal her inner thought,
But often make me feel distraught.

Her eyes can make me feel replete,
Those eyes have made my life complete.

Lock Down Love

Two hearts apart;social distance
Two metres between, in this instance
A viral spark flies across the divide
A warm glow their joined souls provide

All's well in epidemic love and war
That's what men are made for
To forever love and hold
Till the contract is torn at the fold

Under lock down other gods lose their lustre
Our social graces we muster
United within the Trinity holy and pure
Love becomes gentle and kind for sure

Where Heaven Lies

I love you honey. Remember Kippy our first bunny. Our times we spent together was amazing. Our love for each other alters our deep taste bud’s tongue in craving. God has made you for me. Before you met me, your heart was closed but I opened it back up with my key. Your soul deserves so much love. I found you through God from heaven above. My hands will always be connected with yours. We will never part ways and stick together says our Lord. When you know, you know. We still have a purposeful life here on earth to show. Our time together has just took place. When I tell you that I love you, I tell you to your face. Your mine and will always be mine. Brighter then the sun’s rays, we both will shine. I am looking on my map for my love destination. I found you through God’s wonderful creation. Eyes to eyes, nose to nose, we will always be two connected spirits where heaven lies.
