Premium MemberTariffs CAN BE a Great Negotiating Tool

With President Trump, no country should mess
unless her leaders and citizenry crave hyper-stress

Two weeks in office, he’s reined in three socialist wannabees
Columbia, Mexico, Canada ~ already pleading, down on their knees

And They Leave Us Alone

Wannabees always seem to know
who the really tough guys are
Their carriage indefinable
 though marked by every scar

The pheromones of conquest
 carried by the chosen few
Who rumble through the tallest grass
—swallowing what they chew

Plastic Americans In Cape Town and Elsewhere

In South Africa, we imitate Thanksgiving, even "Black Friday!"
Is it business or American culture-wannabees
I hear awkward Howdys; "How U doing?" Narratives of "space ...customer care"
Just as plastic bags decorate sidewalks, veld, pretty cities. Krag, "power,"
Is out more than "on," and the same for water "Loadshedding,"
One of of very own phrases, as with 'State Capture' by WaBenzi
The newest tribe that found state funds for that German car!

Country

Called American folk,
country music’s genre
caters to tough big-rig
cross-country truck drivers,
cowboy wannabees and
crooners; the blue-collar
corners of the country.

Violent movies are just not for me
Why are they popular with so many wannabees
A peace-loving dude
Really don't like crude
Enjoy nature films about flowers and honeybees

One Cloud Away

it was always one cloud away
what do you do when everyway is the right way
what do you do when everyway is the wrong way
i used to know
now i don't know which way to go
I'm on a race only the slow wins
staring eyes and thighs marked with resting thunderstruck chins
between the wannabees and the hasbeens the joker's makeup cracks and grins
one has to be deeply shallow
, to miss beauty packing down south to the marrow
now it's time for spiritual eyeliners to masquerade the sorrow
my tomorrow promised me a smile to borrow
my piper subconsciously dropped his flute
life is a beautiful dantelle scenery to pollute
my wisdom , a pack of pearls ravishing the curves , the silhouette of her memory
a collage of lame loose endings unquenchable scenery forms our silver lining gallery
what a waste
what a waste
when you eat but can't taste
when a whole lifetime slowly slips in haste
a ladder and bench
how romantic the subtitles are in french
between the word and the noise
it all lies on the make up, it all lies on the illusionary poise

The Final Battle

All the soldiers stood proudly gleaming white,
For years they all were smiling bright,
Then one by one off they went to fight.
One by one by the enemy they were got,
And one by one they fell to toffee rot.
Sometimes it was by sheer neglect
Sometimes the cause was a fight.
Sometimes they took a good kicking,
But they sure did take some licking.
They carried on regardless as good soldiers do,
The years took toll yet some still rallied through.
For three score and ten the battle it did rage,
The enemy every one they did engage.
Both North and South they all stood tall.
Until finally the last rank they did fall,
The empty graves of the fallen saw with much dismay,
The final rank, with a simple yank, went sadly to the tray.
Now the barracks are all empty,
The guardroom it is closed.
Those brave and Pearly Sappers,
Will never again be snappers.
No plastic troops will take their place,
No walts or wannabees in that space
An empty cave will be their grave,
They served me well, all of them were smashers.
Now they're gone, I'll miss my lovely gnashers.

PLEASE ALLOW ME TO REITERATE
THE THINGS WE DO TO MAKE LIFE GREAT

WE WALK THIS EARTH WITH FIVE GREAT SENSES
DON'T ABUSE THEM BY BUILDING FENCES

GO FORTH INTO YOUR FUTURE, LIVE YOUR LIFE ALIVE
OPEN UP YOUR VISION, TAKE IT ALL IN STRIDE

YOU DON'T HAVE TO LISTEN TO EVERYTHING YOU HEAR
THERE ARE THOSE AMONG US WHO INSIST WE LIVE IN FEAR

TAKE A LOOK AROUND YOU, SEE ALL THERE IS TO SEE
YOU DON'T HAVE TO ACT LIKE ALL THE WANNABEES

GO TO SCHOOL STUDY, YOU WILL TASTE SUCSESS
YOU WILL ACHIEVE A VICTORY, IF YOU APPLY YOUR BEST

SELECT YOUR BUDDIES WISELY, GO AHEAD STAY IN TOUCH
BEWARE OF THOSE AROUND YOU WHO DON'T CARE ABOUT YOU MUCH

YOU CAN SMELL THE ROSES, WATCH OUT FOR THE THORNES
LIFE IS TRULEY WONDERFUL IT'S THE REASON WE WERE BORN

Premium MemberNo One Is An Empath

An empath is someone who can feel anothers energy and emotions,
and I have no doubt that there are some,
but most are con artists or superhero wannabees screaming for attention,
and others are simply people who have a very strong sense of intuition.
The remaining small percentage do possess this ability,
to feel the emotions of others and their energy,
but they aren't empaths with some psychic ability.
All other animals are empaths with empathic abilities,
It's hard wired in their brain, it's a survival neccessity.
Ancient early humans once too shared this ability,
but when we evolved our high intellect it was no longer of any need.
We could see with our eyes and judge everybody,
We could hear with our ears and know if others were angry.
There are no human empaths, not really,
only they with evolutionary excess baggage that hasn't vanished completely.

California Is Burning

California is burning with scorching
blazes that destroy acres of land
and luxurious homes!

It's an Inferno where screams are too loud:
high winds have a wrathful force
and multiply dangers!

It's an evening without a red sunset...
trees fall and birds start fleeing:
beauty will turn into ashes!

Don't be brave, never try to fight a blaze:
escape from this burning hell
and pray for rain again!

Paula is the queen of the witches,
While some are just learning to fly.
Many are brewers of poetic broth,
And I sigh for Halloweens gone by.

There’s only so much space in the dark sky
On this single night of the year.
Some will pick up their brooms and jockey for room
While the rest of us cower in fear.

It’s only the brave or fool hardy
Who join witches on a Halloween.
Some would rather be scared than one who has dared
And then nevermore has been seen.
