The Girl of My Dreams

Your face,
A majestic visualization of perfection,
right in front of me.
I feel like I am loosing you,
losing you to the dark unknown ,
and I do not know how to respond.
Should I be sad,
or should I feel honored to have been in your presence for so long.
We talked the day away,
it made us numb to all the faults in the world.
The cold weather reminds me of you.
It reminds me of the times that you and I were together
Now you are just a memory,
a distant figment of my imagination that I hold so very close to my heart.
I have been drinking every night,
not enough to get me intoxicated,
but enough to numb the pain of being deprived of you.
You fled,
like a criminal,
away from me just as we became inseparable.

E. L. Wald

The Judgment

The forest in front of me
looks deep, dark, and cold
As I begin me wald toward it
it seems to surround me
I embrace the fear
like a child clenching her doll
As I walk deeper into
this mysterious place
I come to realize all its beauty
The tree are filled woth sounds
birds chirping their love songs
Squirrels chasing up and down branches
I come upon a small creek
to fing to my great surprize
a mother deer and fawn drinking
What a beautiful site to see
I begin to theink to myself
had I turn and ran at first sight
I would have missed such wonders
From outside it looked scary and cold
the inside so much more
Don't ever judge something
from its outside appearance
for you may miss the miracle within

Dandelion

Löwenzahn / Dandelion / Diente de león (Kaintaishi)

Am Feldrand nahe dem Wald
Zwischen den Hecken ganz klein
Leuchtet Löwenzahn hervor
Farbkleckse auf dunklem Grün

At fields's edge near the woods
Between the hedges quite small
The dandelion shines forth
Blurs of colour on dark green

Al borde del campo cerca del bosque
Muy pequeño entre los setos
Adelanta brilla el diente de león
Borrónes de color en verde oscuro

Balzruf Des Auerhahns, Mating Call of the Capercailzie, Celo Del Urogallo

Dumpfer Trommelschlag
Der Balzruf des Auerhahns
Vom dichten Wald her

The muffled drumbeat
Mating call of the capercailzie
Across the thick woods

Golpe del tambor sordo
El celo del urogallo
Través del bosque denso

Deer-Rotwild-Venado

Deer forage in the woods
No time yet for being prey
Their call re-echoes

Rotwild grast im Wald
Noch dort droht keine Gefahr
Ihr Ruf hallt wider

Venado herbaja en el bosque
Ningún tiempo aún para ser presa
Sus gritos resuenan

An Early Autum Day

Die Stille im Wald
Nur leichter Wind in den Blättern
Am frühen Herbsttag

Doch vom fernen Dorf erklingt
Leises Läuten von Glocken

----------------------------------------

The silence in the woods
Only a light wind in the leaves
On early autumn day

But from the distant village sounds
The gentle sound of church bells

----------------------------------------

El silencio en el bosque
Sólo poco de viento en las hojas
Un día temprano en otoño,

Pero desde el pueblo lejano suena
Sonido silencioso de campanas

Pferde/ Horses/Caballos

Auf silbernem Gras
Schatten im hellen Mondlicht
Pferde im Galopp

Ein Geräusch vom nahen Wald
Einsamer Ruf einer Eule

-----------------------------------

On silver grass
Shades in the bright moonlight
Horses in gallop

A sound from the near woods
A lonesome call of an owl

-----------------------------------

Sobre plateado hierba
Sombras en claro luz de luna
Caballos galopando

Sonido del cercano bosque
Solitario grito de lechusa

Ruf Der Kraniche/ Call of the Cranes/El Grito De Las Grullas

Aus weiter Ferne
Ertönt der Ruf der Kraniche
Am späten Mittag

Über den Wiesen am Wald
Liegt noch milchig der Nebel

----------------------------------------

From a far distance
Sounds the call of the cranes
Late at midday

Over the meadows near the woods
Still lingers the milky fog

----------------------------------------

Suena de lejanía
El grito de las grúas
Por tarde mediodía

Sobre prados del bosque
Aún queda lechoso niebla

Nightly Whisper/ Nächtliches Geflüster/ Susurro De Noche

Trough nightly whisper
A pale moon hides behind clouds
With dancing shadows

A far murmur from the woods
Soothing gurgle from the creek
-----------------------------------------
Nächtliches Flüstern
Ein fahler Mond hinter Wolken
Mit tanzenden Schatten

Ein fernes Murmeln vom Wald
Ein sanftes Gluckern vom Bach
-----------------------------------------
Susurro Nocturno
Pálida luna detrás nubes
Sombras bailando

Murmullo lejano del bosque
Suave borboteo de ribera

Jungvögel (German)/Young Birds (English)/Joven Pájaros (Spanish)

Aus dem Nest im Baum
Hungriger Ruf der Jungvögel
Versteckt im Geäst

Ruf aus der Einsamkeit vom Wald
Der alte Hirsch auf der Lichtung

---------------------------------------

From the nest in the tree
Hungry cries of young birds
Hidden in the branches

A call from a solitude forest
The old deer in the clearing

--------------------------------------

De un nido en el árbol
Llorar de hambre de aves jóvenes
Escondido en el ramaje

Un grito de la soledad del bosque
El vejo ciervo en el claro

Im Wald/ In the Forest/En El Bosque

Aus dunklen Wolken
Scheint plötzlich Mondlicht hervor
Zum Glück des Wanderers

Die weite Stille im Wald
Sie rüstet sich für die Nacht

--------------------------------------

Out of darker clouds
Suddenly appears moonlight
Luck for the wanderer

The vast silence of the forest
Is preparing for the night

-------------------------------------

De nubes oscuras
Aparece de repente luz de luna
Suerte para el caminante

El vasto silencio del bosque
Está preparando para la noche

Wildkatze/Wild Cat/Gato Montés

Der Wald atmet auf
Sonnenlicht fällt auf Tannengrün
Im aufsteigenden Nebel

Am Bachrand vor hohem Gras
Sonnt sich im Baum eine Wildkatze

-------------------------------------------

The forest breathes again
Sunlight falls on pines' green
In now rising mist

At the brook's edge near tall grass
A wild cat is basking in a tree

------------------------------------------

El bosque respira
Luz cae sobre abetos verdes
En la subienda niebla

Al arroyo cerca de hierba alta
Gato montés toma un baño de sol

Sommerwiesen /Summer Meadows/Praderas De Verano

Die Sommerwiesen
Blühendes Meer im warmen Wind
Fernes Rauschen im Wald

Geruch von Sommer und Blüten
Wie Träume aus der Vergangenheit

----------------------------------------------

The summer meadows
Flowering sea in a warm wind
A far rustle in the forest

Odor of summer and flowers
Like dreams of the past

--------------------------------------------

Las praderas de verano
Mar floreciendo en un viento caloroso
Murmullo lejano del bosque

Olor de verano y flores
Como sueños del pasado

Otoño / Autumn / Herbst

El bosque está tranquilo
En esa lúz silenciosa de mañana
Descansadas las ojas

El otoño se pone su nuevo vestido
En una fiesta imensa de colores

---------------------------------------

Forest in peacful rest
In this quiet morning light
Leaves are tired

Autum arises newly dressed
In a feast of living colours

---------------------------------------

Wald in friedlicher Ruhe
In diesem stillen Morgenlicht
Die Blätter sind müde

Herbst ersteht in neuem Kleid
Im Fest lebendiger Farben
