Tonight boy has some bad news
Heard my father just lots his job
My parents say we aren't living in the struggle
But I'm not a fool I see that this road is hard
How can you fire someone that doesn't do anything wrong
But I guess that how life goes
My mother hates her fob,but she puts on a smile anyway
I feel her pain , but there is nothing I can do
I used to do dirt to sooth the pain goy caught and put to shame
I think I was the the one made us leave the church
One day the church will forgive me
But I guess that how life goes
Another of my friends is gone died in a wreck
didn't to say good bye didn't even get to say Hi
It just wasn't fair that it ended like that
Didn't go to her funeral, but went to her stone
But I guess that how life goes
Time is running so fast no time to adjust
Can't get my head straight, mind is spinning
Just hold up I getting my barrings
One day I will fix it for the family
But I guess that how life goes
How things in life feel so wasted on what need not be
Steps we retrace can never be placed in spots exactly
Not everything straightens just like we want it to be
If taking more than giving any life will become empty
NO GREATER LOVE
There is no greater love
Than a Man would give
His very own life
That others might live
It was not just the act
Of dying to suffice
But the willingness of making
The ultimate sacrifice
But the glorious news
Of the event that day
Was not that He died
But was not meant to stay
Buried in a borrowed tomb
In a highly secure grave
On the third day He arose
To resume the life He gave
More than that, I hope you know
His death was not in vain
The victory in His rising
Made eternal life our gain
Not only did He rise to life
He ascended to take His throne
In His ascension, He promised
He would not leave us alone
He promised us a comforter
To stay until that day
He'll return to earth in glory
And take us home to stay
To live with Him forever
In Heaven up above
And make us all victorious
Through His no greater love

MY GIRL
Entry number one
The beginning of the end
Now we will find out
If the son can mend
I must let nothing stop me
I must not fall off the course
I must me my insecurities
With the necessary force
And if I do, and see it through
Would that mean anything to you?
Would you call yourself my girl?
And look at me with loving eyes
Would you live, and love, and learn, and grow
To understand a father’s cries?
You could travel down a path of sorrow
The cost is life with your soul to spend
But I’ve lost so much walking down that road
So it’s not something I would recommend
So in these months before your birth
I’ve got so many things to do
Work to give myself some worth
And make a better life for you
I know that you think
I am on the brink of success,
and dont neccessarily need you.
But what you think, and what i think are total opposites.
You are the missing link in my life right now.
I am not saying I want to be with you forever.
I am saying for right now you are that peice of the puzzle that I need.
My theory is that life is not one big puzzle, but multiple puzzles.
Each puzzle represents a different chapter in our life.
This chapter, you're the peice i need.
They say for every event
in your life there's a reason
A broken heart?
Unrequited love?
The emptiness might be overwhelming
surrounded by people but you feel all alone
emotionally dead
'cause your heart's desire is out of reach
and all u feel apt for is goodbye
no longer willing to go on
but if u take a step back?
You'll see that you are capable of having feelings
you might feel hurt,
you might feel alone
heaven knows, that’s what emotions entail
so push through that,
experience every emotion
embrace every moment
And when u are ready claim your life back
because satan has no right over you
it's not through his will you have made it thus far.
God is waiting for you to be still,
watch Him hold your hand
with the peace that only He can provide
He has not forsaken you,
He is waiting for you to utter the words
"I can’t do this without You"
In my life so wonderful
I have many, many blessings
To share with you, a few this day
Though many I am missing.
Life!
Love!
Learning!
My family...and most of all...
My husband.
My home - so full of life
My garden - lush and vibrant
My job - my livelihood
My city - thriving and dynamic
Health - it allows me to enjoy the rest!
Opportunities for growth (they are everywhere)
My ability for self expression
My desire for knowledge
The safety I enjoy,
Living in my bountiful country
The food in my kitchen
The clothes in my closet
My flaws - they make me unique and interesting
My attributes - they balance out the flaws
And finally, most of all,
Thankful for
Who I am and the life I live...
A great blessing indeed!
(This is my entry for the Count Your Blessings poetry contest)
Breeze in my face, I no not my destination,
Walking only where my feet will take me.
A frown creases my brow in concentration,
In the hope I may see things more clearly.
The soft lush grass underfoot stretches out,
Like a carpet, the meadow of life lays ahead.
At one with the landscape, no one else about,
Totally at the mercy of my feet and their tred.
As the grass turns to marsh, soggy under foot,
The smell of pond life assaults my senses.
Dragonflies buzz, their colours change as I look,
And the wind gently stirs the rushes.
Not far from view a picture of beauty awaits,
As water boatmen battle across the murky water.
An idle Kingfisher sits and contemplates,
And the herons wade out even deeper.
The sun beats down savage and bright,
Prisms of light dance upon the surface.
A dazzling sight, turning the murk to light,
Totally untouched, simply perfect.
The day idles on, no disturbance, still calm,
Entranced I am reluctant, and linger still.
Totally refreshed, healed inside like a balm,
Caught up in this place, I feel real!

A blemished heart
So weak I cannot walk
A life made of so many promises
I ask you who can you really trust?
After so much heart ache
The pain inside I can’t fake
Now I feel so hollow inside and there is a empty space
My heart feels that this friendship will never be replaced
The sound of your voice depletes my sins
Praying that hearing it will never end
See I need you now but your not even there
Baby my heart is full of pain and you don’t even care
I truly miss all the fun we have had together
You know that I always wished we should of stayed friends forever
And hear my tongue that says no lie
Together we will our say my prayers as lullabies
A heart that's taken and loved is a heart that is never broken
When I love from the heart my words are carefully spoken
As my heart is pulsating with blood and constantly full of love
To keep the world with peace and joy is what the heart consist of
Oh I’m very grateful and always hopeful
Thank you Jesus my life is so blessed and plentiful
Remember you came into my life and lived
That’s why from my heart with love I’m willing to give
When in pain,
It seems our life is only pain
And it is hard to see a place
With no pain.
Don't feed a pain
By looking at all the other pains
That in your life you can locate
Find the sane.
Find the cane to stand up again
Let your eyes rest upon flowery terrain
A happy place.
If it rains
Think of it as God's cleaning day
Smell the fresh smell of it and regain
A fragrant domain.

The difference you made in one’s life may seem trivial at times. Never look back on your life
with regret; the impact you made one will never forget.
Each night before I go to bed I kneel down and I pray
For God to bless and keep me safe with every passing day
I pray for his acceptance in my life and choices made
But also I pray for guidance as I walk the long pathway
To all who know me and know me well I am a caring person
Yet sensitive in many ways for in life I’ve been rejected
And fear to be true to myself has caused me great conditions
With honesty always being the best I have chose the harder outcome
I know that God does love me and he knows my heart means well
Despite the things I write or say some think I’m going to hell
But if my failure prompts a journey to a place of unsure existence
Then God is not the God I thought he was and I’ve wasted time and patience
To sum it up my prayer today like every day is for guidance
To live a life that brings some joy to others while in trails
I believe this the calling made for my life while on this journey
If not, oh well, I made a mistake, at least I entertained plenty
Life goes on like normal
No excitement
No true joy
The one you love stays right beside you
Gone
The spark that once brought passion
Yet you walk each day alive
Daily motions
Nothing special
Can you live this life of nothing?
Routine somber
Path of boredom
The secret life of nothing special
Welcome travelers
This is living
Every time I look into your eyes
I close my eyes and you are clear as the skies
I hold your hand as I walk along the pier
Alone but hoping you feel me near
How I laugh drinking a glass of wine with you
The empty chair suggests my life is so blue
The movie we watch, cuddled up together
Reality strikes as I get up turn on the weather
We plan a trip out to visit the beach
I can see you but you’re forever out of reach
Rain falling down on our soft warm skin
To hold you forever made to feel such a sin
To think all this was what could have been true
Knowing now my whole life was meant to be with you
Gifted in life with the experiences I’ve had
All the rocky roads I’ve travelled, for that I’m glad
Even though I’ve felt untold pain through time
Feeling blessed in life that you and I are here, so sublime
So never wanting to feel this anguish again
Holding on to endless love is something I want to ascertain
Here I am by your side. A friend and enemy. not telling you a lie but not quite honest either.
Here I am on the stairs by your side again. Your parents fight and you quiver at the sight but
I am here do not fear.
I am here in your life we would not be without eachother and together we are one.
Together we make up the universe and are not such a simple life form as they precieved us
to be
