No Greater Love

NO GREATER LOVE

There is no greater love
Than a Man would give
His very own life
That others might live

It was not just the act
Of dying to suffice
But the willingness of making
The ultimate sacrifice

But the glorious news
Of the event that day
Was not that He died
But was not meant to stay

Buried in a borrowed tomb
In a highly secure grave
On the third day He arose
To resume the life He gave

More than that, I hope you know
His death was not in vain
The victory in His rising
Made eternal life our gain

Not only did He rise to life
He ascended to take His throne
In His ascension, He promised
He would not leave us alone

He promised us a comforter
To stay until that day
He'll return to earth in glory
And take us home to stay

To live with Him forever
In Heaven up above
And make us all victorious
Through His no greater love
