Premium MemberSelf Made Heartache

My heart no longer beats as it did before
With each thump there’s a rattle you now hear
You wonder at first then you realize
The look in my eyes makes the reason clear

It’s from the pieces of my broken heart
That were just to far beyond any repair
The only one that I can blame for this
Is none other then me causing my despair

There’s something wrong with me
Hidden deep in the wiring of my mind
So many have tried to discover it
But there’s nothing they’re able to find

People have loved me deeply in life
And for that alone were pushed away
I can still see how their faces looked
Every drop of pain was there on display

All my emotions are covered by a mask
So they will never know how much I care
I will never put my heart up on exhibit
My feelings I simply refuse to bare

And I hate myself for being this way
Wanting to cause this self made headache
I’ve made this road rougher than needed
And though it hurts it’s not too much to take

Ruining my life has become my addiction
I enjoy when the pain gets to be so severe
I’ve slowly torn my life apart unnecessarily
So I do this out of hatred or is it fear

Premium MemberSurvival Tips for Recovering Cynics

One:
Wake up slowly.
Admit it was never that deep.
Let your first word be hmmm.
Let your second be whatever.

Two:
Stretch, but not like you mean it.
Pop one joint, then stop.
You are not an overachiever.
You’re alive. That’s enough.

Three:
Brew something hot
and unnecessarily complicated.
Call it process.
Sip. Sigh.
Spill a little on purpose.

Four:
Reintroduce yourself
to color.
Start with gray.
Work up to a muted mustard.
No pressure.

Five:
Trust nothing that smiles too easily.
Except maybe dogs.
And one cashier
who says you’re all set
like she means it.

Six:
Throw out the list you made
of everyone who owes you.
Keep the one you made
of whom you survived—
remember who survived you.

Seven:
Don’t look for closure.
Just check your teeth for spinach
when you think you ate,
and get on with it.

Admonitions Concerning Poetry Competitions

Tasks, by their very nature
are often painful to perform.
Polysyllabic pedantry exacerbates undertakings unnecessarily.
Strict contest-runners rate your
adherence to the stipulated norm.

Would Robert Frost perform feats
of wordplay? Or leave forsaken
such boring chores? I airily
dare opine this, for Keats,
is the road not taken.

Like rednecks have their gun,
and German shepherds have muzzles,
one posits, all too warily,
that poets need their fun:
like doing harmless crossword puzzles.

Her preservative process
To utilize words no one knows or understands
Guarantees her failure in the contest realm
She does not do well with herself
Using these unnecessarily verbose vocabulary words
Most of us stopped reading her missives years ago

For Dear me

My dear beloved me,
Sorry for being ignorant,
For caring less and less,
hurting you unnecessarily.
Will you forgive me?
For the crime I did?
Will you allow me?
To love you endlessly?
I was very harsh upon you.
I was very hard upon you.
I promise you this day of Spring,
I will take care of you forever,
I am holding you in heart,
And its filled by you only.
Accept my love dear me.
These limited waking hours
Ring a bell in my ears.
You accept my love,
And allow me to love you fully.
Bless me with me.

The Day Iwas Born

The day I was born
The day I was born the sky was clear with blue scattering,
If at all not I have not seen that
The day I was born, the air was blowing incessantly
If at all not how do I know to bother unnecessarily
The day I was born, I hope the earth smelled uniquely
If not then also I was not bothered as I had no smell buds developed
The day I was born, the water was the only fluid I must have touched
But how could I know as the epidermis was not in tune, I had no clue
The day I was born, I do not worshipped almighty as there was no meaning to it
Or perhaps no one took me to chapel, Temple, Mosque or Guru Dwara
As six days birth rituals were observed as told later on by my mother
But I should have remembered I was breathing that time with Ida, Pingla and Susumna,
For my survival as understood lately
Probably not sure of who took care of my great entry to my mother’s lap
But all I know is zero, zero and only zero memory prevails till now
But yet I survived with all odds and even
Then who to thank for all these cosmic phenomena, a million dollar question to my co inhibits….

Hiding Behind the Mask

Midnight comes and I'm lying in my bed wide awake due to
Anxious thoughts of what will happen tomorrow at the
Staff Christmas party. No doubt the alcohol will flow leading to
Questionable decisions made by myself in order to entertain others
Unnecessarily to cover my true inner self. I am seen by others as an
Extrovert, when in reality, I'm longing to be alone. Ideally, I'd be more
Reclusive than I let on, but the show must go on, and as the office clown, I
Am always expected to do a prank on a co-worker or spin a yarn. I am
Definitely hiding behind a mask, as so many others do. It's easier than
Expressing my true feelings and being who I want to be.

Felt

"Felt"

some people
have magic
in their bones
it speaks
another language
silencing the
Kurdaitcha Man
seen pointing
unnecessarily
without conviction

time is ours
in this endless place
we circle rings
rippling our marks
deep within trees
depositing stories
they breathe
us in
we breathe
them out

gifting
their leaves
we fall softly
crumpling
under others’ feet

the stories
conveyed
and transferred
replenish and feed
the microcosm

to become
something
much larger

some people
have magic
in their bones
it speaks
another language

it is felt
not seen
falling softly inside
we become lighter
rising like myths

=====

Words are the language of humanity,
Foundation of our community.

Words:
soothe hearts
Pierce hearts

Words:
Start war
Stop war

Words:
Save lives
Take lives

Words:
Evoke emotions
Teach lessons

Words:
Convey ideas
Lift spirits

Words:
Bind minds
Change minds

Words:
Said once
The hearing lasts for ever

Words:
Lethal weapon
Take care

Words:
Innocent, neutral, precise
Treat them well

Words:
Can raise you or
Push you down

Words:
Keep them pure
Not difficult to control them

Words:
Never drop them unnecessarily
You can’t take them back

Words:
Wrong or misinterpreted
Can create immense problem

Words:
Learn to control
Also the tone

Your words are the greatest power you have,
You exist in your words that you choose.

Premium MemberOn Cruel People

I can find no excuse whatsoever for cruelty
Signifying an absence of compassionate acuity,
Especially meanness toward little children
And unnecessarily hurting animals, a villain,
With no empathy for the suffering such brings
Seemingly unaware of the jabbing, bee-like sting,
Bullies who delight in another’s discomfort
They don’t seem to care whom they hurt,
Building themselves up with an air of superiority
Clearly, while they suffer feelings of inferiority.
I can find no excuse whatsoever for cruelty,
The complete absence of compassionate acuity.

Is It Love - Agonizing Words

Smiling unnecessarily just
Cuz you're smiling.
Worried intensely cuz
Your mood is off.
All I want is nothing more
Just a smile on your face,
No worries in your mind
Keeping you happy
All the time,
Am I in love.
Cuz it's the first time
I'm feeling this for anyone
And that's only for you.
Now you tell me
Do you feel the same for me
Or it's just me
Having feelings for you.

It is love, isn't it.

Circle of Love and Self-Regard

CIRLCLE OF LOVE AND SELF-REGARD:

Here's now a real prevised time...
Some people only get you grimed,
Since you don't disclose your plans,
For them to know what's on your mind.
Even if you accept to at least opine,
You sagely do that through a mime.
And they see it as a very wicked blow,
That you opt and unpredictably throw.
Which makes them grow insanely cold.
Hence, they unwisely become your foes,
Who always try to kill your beautiful soul,
As they unnecessarily stand to oppose.

But they don't get to know your goals,
That you've kept in a well covered bowl.
Truly, as you work manificently to grow,
They assume you to be acting saucy,
Though you don't stay by being flossy.
Yet, whenever you decide to speak,
You're being tagged as a rebel on heat.
So it's good you've been able to decide,
To intelligently move in the best line.
With regard to your mind and heart,
By holding yourself deeply with trust,
In the circle of love and self-regard.

Premium MemberA Newborn Child

Amazing the beauty of a newborn child
Never in life to receive more adulation
Peering from the crib meek and mild,
Amazing the beauty of a newborn child
Genetics of lines of ancestors restyled
Creating in family a major sensation,
Amazing the beauty of a newborn child
Never in life to receive more adulation.

Creating in family a major sensation,
Long anticipated with months of waiting
Beginnings of a brand-new generation
Creating in family a major sensation,
That calls for another joyous celebration
No reason for unnecessarily debating,
Creating in family a major sensation
Long anticipated with months of waiting.
