HAPPINESS IN A JAR

As I try to wish away, all the sadness that I feel;
As if a night sky's falling star, could grant me something real...
    If only one small wish, of what's eluded me all this life thus far;
         I'd wish for just some happiness, just a little in a jar;
So I could open as I needed, unload some sadness that I feel
                         Much like unloading bulky freight,
                         From a trains overloaded boxcar...
If only I could wish away, all the sadness that I feel,
I'd finish this life with certainty
And a soul full of new found zeal...

Began chatting, then as talking.
Talking, to safe haven.
Safe haven, to unfolding the dark tucked away.
Unfolding, to sharing years of distant memories.
Sharing, to unloading your internal warehouse.
Unloading, to tears flowing.
Tears flowing, words stinging.
Words stinging, airway burning.
Relief, haunting at bay for a passing moment.
Healing slowly, piece by piece.
Uncovering layer by layer.
Tear by tear.

One hour used to feel endless, now one hour feels like minutes.

Like meeting a friend, you felt you always knew. All the masks fall, no more camouflage, no more sabotage.

Just healing, growing and learning.

Underneath

I know I'm the problem
My fractured thoughts remind me constantly
My love
I've got the bullet
But I never wanted the gun

I think I fall in love everyday
Strangers on the street I'll meet someday
I think I love them all
But I never intend to fall

I know I'm not the problem
His actions show me consistently
I'm stuck in distain
He handed me the gun
After unloading the bullets at my feet

The Desert Heat

The coast stands still in the desert heat
And the cloud parts from above and filters a message
Of love, I felt comfortable for a moment
And observe the scene from a distance
But the moment quickly changed when
The earth began to shake and birds
Starts pouring through the gate
I watched hundreds of ships sailing in
With the mad wind propelling them along the border
And the pirates hanging on the sides with vicious eyes
And long guns strapped on their backs and sides
I didn’t like the look on their face, they were going
To invade the place, big ships keep rolling in
And drunken men parading along the ships corridor
Holding guns and whisky bottles in their hands
Taking a sip and singing a loud and boisterous song
And the ship keeps unloading from morning
Till sun down with boxes and suitcase, barrel and food
And bags packed with jewel and shoe
They form long lines on the other side
And the ship stood still in the desert heat

Full

My mom goes to the store once a week.
She buys potatoes, they’re ok.
I don’t like unloading the groceries.
Potatoes can come in mesh bags.
Or plastic ones.
I like the mesh, I don’t know why.
My mom and I.
Life feels as full as a bag of potatoes.
We eat them all the time.
My mom calls me downstairs.
So that the kitchen becomes full with the two of us.
We cook a potato feast.
We are left with empty plates and dishes.
My mom goes to the store once a week.
Once a week.
She comes home.
Mesh bag, plastic bag, mesh bag, mesh bag.
Once a week.
We eat them all the time.
Suddenly, the kitchen is full.
My mom and I.
Unloading the groceries.
Once a week, once a week.

I got the runs

The juices are flowing
Out my butt it’s flowing
The stink surely is growing
The end is near i am hoping
The poos are floating
As they keep going
I begin to wonder will it ever stop exploding
For the pain has me moaning
On my phone diagnosing
The research is undergoing
My ignorance is showing
For I don’t know why my butt is unloading
The doctor call i continue postponing
As my juices stay a flowing…

Bask in God’s blessings midst smile that’s bright
Claim divine love for caring against selfishness-blight

Grab opportunities to share goodness light
Help others, heralding heavenly hope’s sight
Inspire many while unloading burdensome plight
Joyously live in peace*… such is indeed right.

*Romans 5:1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Premium MemberPraying Traveling Bus

Surrounded by Faith
Encouraging the world
Spiritual swirl
Kneeing and embracing
Fulfilling and suggesting
Journeying through the highways and back roads
Praying having a purpose
Praying for the hearts of the people
Just that simple
Unloading the empty hearts
Step aboard and pray
Break through
Health issues to overcome
Pray Pray Pray
The praying traveling bus bringing inspiration
The praying bus slogan “Let us show you how”
Praying being a continuous matter
Too much negative chatter
Pray for all time
Respect and be kind
Prayer time

Premium MemberUnloading the Carrot Truck

The carrot truck was full of carotene so good for the bunny brigade.
It is marvelous having this produce today said the garden in the glade.
He felt badly because his carrot crop had been wiped out with disease.
But the bunnies were unloading these healthy ones without a tease.

Don’t worry, said the daddy bunny, my kids are anxious to work.
They were not the kind of workers to dawdle, lay around or shirk.
They had that carrot truck unloaded in a few minutes that day.
So, the produce man could swiftly drive his truck back to the bay.

Premium MemberWhere Will Pcw Stop First

The bargain master peddler man rides into town two times a year.
We gather at the road, begging him to come to our house first, “please dear!”
He is riding a persnickety particular parenthesis caravan walker without fear.
The PPCW makes all of the decisions, the BMPM follows to avoid a big jeer.

He will be here when he is here, our ancestors tell us. Relax. There’s a cheer!
PPCW has chosen a house, somewhere down the road. I lend a clear ear.
They are newcomers to town. They are rude, impoliite and they drink beer!
The PPCW has stopped at their home, and the BMPM is unloading his gear!

Premium MemberAlong the Canal

The canal poked like a finger
into the wrinkled abdomen
of the Port. Along its length,
ketches once bruised
wooden wharves unloading wheat
shipped from outports across the gulf.
Pigeons stalked the spill of grain
from hessian bags torn
by wharfies hooks. Port Adelaide’s
pigeons were kept well fed.

I can remember being harnessed
to a pole and taught to swim
in the cold, dark waters of the canal.
I thrashed and kicked but could not float.
I did not have my fathers dolphin grace
whose aquatic triumphs were engraved
on a silver trophy that stood proud
atop a fireplace shelf.

In its final days the canal slowed
to a halt. Wharves were empty
and gave way to rot. In the end,
dump trucks cascaded fill down
embankments until it choked.
A car park now seals its grave
where plastic bags sail endlessly
across an asphalt lake.
A shopping precinct recalls its name
in gaudy signage.

Memory still has me dangling
on the end of a pole, flailing arms
desperately searching for something
solid to hold, suspended
like a lead weight
above a cold abyss.

Sam Adams Sacrastic Wit

Sam Adams
Has a bitter sarcastic
Cutting attitude
Infamous for his Adam’s wit
Much feared and hated

But many laughed along
As his wit was just so funny
Unless you were the victim
Of his verbal cuts and put-downs.

Often unloading on people
His bitter sarcastic cuts
Designed to humiliate
And hurt, zeroing in on your faults.

A true master
Of the kiss up
Kick down
Intimidation philosophy of life.

He was a verbal bully
And like most bullies
Could dish it out
But did not appreciate it
When it was returned
Back to him.

Another Covid Holiday

Another COVID Holiday

in an ever increasing
rate of replanting
the seed was spreading
through the population

a seed so small
as to be microscopic
should remain insignificant
no outward effect dramatic
though COVID’s social influence
global impact near atmospheric
I eagerly wade into holidays
mandated to reduce pollination

vacation disappointingly domestic
unloading washing machine tanglematic
hanging clothes almost robotic
reducing risky situation

we look now
to the years as they’re turning
our mutual recent history
undesired to be re-enduring
we hope upon new calendar
with optimistic collective yearning
for a year of blank pages
devoid of COVID’s social manipulation

HAPPY 2022
may it be kind to us
