Not one sound
No bird speak
A gray day with drizzling rain
The dogs and I sit listening
To silence
In the distance there are no sirens
We are a long way from the city
Country living brings a distinct placidness
Nothing is moving
Wait
There is one tiny waving leaf
I listen for one of my chimes
But even they are still
It is like watching a movie on mute
A day of uninterrupted silence
My heart beats a little more slowly
I feel in tune with the leaf
I stand with open arms on the peak
and consume the rugged running creek.
Effulgent wide cerulean sky,
migrating bar-headed geese soar high.
Meadows of pink, yellow, orange, blue,
and red, wildflowers blend in green hue.
The smell of pine and wealth of clean air,
utter excitement, a love affair.
Lost in a lounge dream of my choosing,
pure uninterrupted peace musing.

The vagaries of our existence
Shine brightly, the stars seen without light
The clouds, always overshadowed, flash
The war of sound lost, the whispers, once soft
Fall on ears no longer deaf to silence
This is a different world, I tell myself
But it has lain in wait
singing at being heard as I with it
dancing to the hushed tunes of its melodies
The timeless hours not timeless at all
But minutes stretched too tight with chords, groaning
A language lost, rhythms obscured, desperate, deep and brimming
with the dissatisfied longing
Of the uninterrupted night
A river in a forest flows
The wind in a mountain blows
A thrush sings perching on a tree
Her song makes my mind free
Uninterrupted thoughts
At silent nights
Your creations reveal my limitation
My limitation is to feel your perfection
Nature is your kind notification
Your love glows in lamentation
My love grows on the foundation
My mind flows
A drop of tear follows
A thrush sings perching on a tree
Her song makes my mind free
Uninterrupted thoughts
At star filled nights
