Unbeaten Poems

Premium MemberI was the moon when I met Zizam, a silver star hidden in the night

I was the moon when I met Zizam, a silver star hidden in the night,
And in her eyes, I became a dream, for if she called me her moon, I would be, unbeaten.
Hidden from the earth, I wore my scars, under the veil of night, timidly I stood,
But she, my Sun, shone with rays, painting my face with her love.
She was the light that gave me life, I, the hermit that withered every flower,
We were in the same sky, a secret desire, but never together, only in dreams.
I was the storm, singing fury in the wind, a symphony of thunder and light,
She, the autumn breeze, whispering words, a gentle caress for desires and sighs.
The world shied away from my song, fearful of my untamed power,
But she embraced me with her drive, dancing around me, with an open heart.
But my winds grew ever stronger, becoming a tornado of desires and rage,
Too powerful for her song, she had to leave, to find harmony.
Even now, when I unleash myself in the sky, I hear her whisper, a fleeting echo,
I call her name, in an austere dream, trying to embrace her, in eternal longing.

Premium MemberWhile you try to become the best version of yourself

While you try to become the best version of yourself,
Insecurity infiltrates, an unbeaten foe that embraces confidence,
And you list potential falls before even stepping onto the open road.
Every deed is stitched with the thread of this somber foreboding.
Yet, if you know how each scar quietly whispers to you its own tale,
A story of how much it bled, how much pain there was when it was still a fresh wound.
And which bold paths you have taken toward healing, what battles you had to fight.
It's not easy to step out of the frame of your comfort, from your arches of safety.
But when the stars align, they conspire as if yearning to show you a universe
Where you are meant to shine – accept everything with grace, let chance follow its course.
For if you don't, the print of regrets will be one that will never fade.
To receive the stars and the threads of fate, even when they are entwined,
Even when fears seem swifter than your choices.
Gather all your scars, each a mark placed on the map of your own galaxy.
Leave from yourself a beacon, a lighthouse deep in the unknown to which you inevitably head.

The Giant's Causeway

The wind takes an eardrum,
and fills it with hail.

The waves crash beyond me
on an unbeaten trail.

There are men here who think
they’ve found victory and wealth,

but the giant’s run-off,
and left for his health.

Mans Best Friend

A slobbering smile
A loving stare
A sofa, bed and floor
Covered in hair

A morning stroll
A paw in the air
Waiting for a tummy rub
A bear with a tear

Jumping in puddles
Biting at the rain
Itching their bum on twigs
Eyeballing Great Danes

Tapping their paws
When dinner is coming
Chasing their ball
Tail constantly drumming

A subtle growl
To warn the unknown
Snoring and twitching
On her throne

A collar that jingles
As they enter the room
A snuggle
A sneeze
A fight with the broom

A nightly routine of
Coming to say goodnight
From my side to your side
They love you with all their might

For dogs they are precious
Too precious for this world
They meet you and greet you
Spinning around they twirled

The loyalty they show
Truly unbeaten
Mans best friend
Our life they sweeten..

3 Lions Cheated

I remember
Campbell had scored
'98 and 04'
would have beat Portugal
or the Argies before,

and then Lampard's was cruel
would have made it 2 all
but the goal's over ruled
finished 1 goal to 4

Maradona's hand ball
later scoring once more,
Penalties were not scored
England beaten by draws

90 was the first
96 still hurts
98 was the third
knocked out unbeaten
then 06 and 04
penalties, Portugal,
losing 5 games through draws
could have been so much more
we were unbeatable

and I remember
Beckham v Greece
beating German's was sweet
oh that 5-1 defeat
and thrashing Holland

3 Lions on a shirt
England still believing
5 decades of hurt
but soon we'll be unbeaten

Paris, Berlin, Madrid and Rome
surely football's coming home

Courage Versus Comfort

In times of challenge to confine,
changes speak many sentences in rhyme.
The deserving comfort to all one knows,
depth of wishes and its protection vows.
Courage takes the path unbeaten,
resilient integrity repeating.
Responsibilities is providing,
great souls waves riding.
The shadow is apparent but not existent,
belonging to the soul returns persistence.
The imperfect self from obscure image,
in order, to realize divine knowledge.
Evolution of relationship to become just,
truth and courage in need of some fairy dust.
Manifested tolerance is forgiveness,
that love it is, which heals the heart relentless.
Sweet and false politeness are imitation jewels,
admiration shows itself by respect acknowledges.
The heart responding to soul and comfort,
creatures habit and power depend of sort.
Nothing that is an accidental by situation,
life works toward progression relation.
Before one can know the truth in fact,
the life of truth becomes its impact.

Beau Ideal

Nectared graces overwhelming must
Underline your pulse-halting charms;
Utopian opal spelt by honeyed terms,
Resistless pearl cased in mortal dust.

Fair-miened nymphs kings did melt;
But such sly vixens, like old Phoenix
Acing artful Death's ambrosial tricks,
Would find your rig a conundrum yet.

Dead fancy's fairy in gowns of wool,
Would vote this trim flawless figure
Finer than fiction's gildings meager;
Nature’s art unsullied by apish tool.

Nor would pageant-lauded beauties,
Though posh their foppish styles be;
With roses laureled in limitless glee,
Dim this time's own queen of cuties.

Where lurks this sure paragon high,
Beauty-capped acme of poets' tales;
Yet glamorous and unbeaten in vales
Of breath and death where jewels lie?

Silent Watcher

SILENT WATCHER

Oh the things she's seen,
Pterodactyls swooping low,
Nagasaki all aglow,
Iceage creeping over land,
Maradonna's cheating hand,
Armstrong making one giant leap,
Humpbacks singing in the deep,
Tutankhamen's golden face,
Unbeaten Frankl's final race,
Titanic's iceberg breaking free,
Anne Boleyn on bended knee,
Stonehenge rising from the plain,
Halley's comet passing again,
Nelson falling, duty done,
Oswald and that fateful gun,
Orbit fixed, she glides on by,
Silent watcher in the sky,
None can match her constant stare,
And to her beauty none compare.

The Passenger

City life turns to sparse assortments;
Of local pubs and country homes.
Tall brick walls fade into fences;
Amongst hedgerows and mossy stones.

Crowded bustle soon lowers its pace;
Those now free, move unconfined.
Only thoughts spent are of contentment,
Peaceful surroundings heal the mind.

As roads turn to paths unbeaten,
Dipping and climbing, alongside the fields.
Views everchanging, revelling new pastures,
Filled full of beauty from treasures they yield.

Awaking from the brief city escape,
Thoughts soon creep back to the hubbub.
Before it all end though, the passenger pleads,
Can we go for a pint at the pub?

At Peace

He had the grace of a buffalo
And the strength of a gazelle,
But he wore it comfortably
And we loved him for it.

His secret was contentment.
It empowered us all.
We were unbeaten, unwounded.

Many challenged us,
Striking below the surface
Attacking everything they valued.

We remained untouched,
Hidden in the open.

We were who we claimed to be,
Invisible to the stealthy,
A monument to the innocent
And he loved us for it.

Inconsistent Men

In the abyss of my soul, I denied the urge to ignite the spark we had
I’ve come to recognize the constant predictable fights that I endlessly lost
They were unbeaten battles that I fought alongside God
But he condemned me to failure for falling into lust

Your inconsistent behavior drained my efforts to persist
It enabled my mind to realize your selfish traits
To my damage heart, Please stop loving him I insist
Stop! Believing that memories can be the present that can be recreated

Our hearts were far from similar, I confess I love you more than my reflection
God forgive you, for my rejected Soul that pains Within me
And in the darkness, I cry wondering why I did not reach your satisfaction
Embarrassed by my inability to renounce our toxic relationship
I condemn our love to lie Amongst the hurt I’ve left behind
Goodbye MY true love

Unbeaten Path

no path is greater than the one you lead
the one you presently lead is the one you stay on
to follow another’s path you gain no earnest trust in yourself
one path can lead to another but you lose the corner stone of your life.

Your own path will establish your true self
your true self cannot hide nor pretend it was not
there is never an end to self realization

You can look back and see the way that you’ve been
to where you are now and where you will discover
that one path led by you is your journey
the greater the journey the greater the direction you led.

the path widens as you journey
in retrospect you will see the accomplishments
that you achieved along that one way of life
what you achieved in life will be the
cobblestones of your life story

Unbeaten By the Unbeatable

When up against the unbeatable,
endure,
you can't create victory, but,
you can draw,
the unbeatables catch,
is they are there to match!!

You can equal the unbeatable,
become undefeatable.
