twine binds the years~
old cards resting on older letters,
each one a small echo
still reaching for me.

Premium Member Oasis

Impressed upon those desert dunes
that stretch back o'er the years,
my lonely prints hear fading tunes
as sand seals wind-swept fears.

A fervid gust comes whisking past,
disrupting settled pains.
Warmth enwraps my heart at last,
emitting torrid rains.

No fair mirage could conjure this
I taste from deepest springs.
No cactus thorn could pierce this bliss
that hearts at risk can bring.

This arid wasteland starts to thrive
as streams of ardor flow.
No dreams of grace must I contrive
for blooms of love now grow.

A splendor-realm from 'twining roots
has breadth beyond this land
where passion's sky-borne geyser shoots
erupt from burning sand.

A beautiful oasis shines
where barren ground once laid.
A set of footprints now defines
the melody that’s played.

Premium Member SURREAL BIOLOGY - An 'Inner Body' Experience

Sometimes I feel a loosening,
not a rise or fall
but a sideways slip
into the body’s secret dream~
the one it keeps folded
behind the pulse.

Inside, everything is surreal.
The ribs bloom like pale petals,
opening and closing
with a slow botanical breath.
Capillaries curl like red vines,
twining around thoughts
I haven’t had yet.

I wander deeper,
past the soft machinery
of muscle and memory,
where neurons spark
like tiny bioluminescent fish
darting through a midnight reef.

The heart meanders by~
not beating, but floating,
a warm, wandering lantern
in search of its own echo.
I follow its glow
into a chamber~
where cells gather like pilgrims,
trading stories in chemical syllables
I almost understand.

Here, my body feels ancient~
a living archive
of every dream, wound, wonder
I’ve ever carried.
And as I move through it,
I realize I’m not leaving myself
but meeting myself
in places I never knew existed.

An inner-body experience~
not escape,
but entry
into the surreal biology
that has held me
all these years.

Premium Member A Pond's Melody

its mirror shining
reflecting the bluest sky
small ripples, weaving, twining
two white swans clinging
weeping willows swaying nigh-
the pond, with joy, is singing

Premium Member twelve one liners

oh clouds that drift and hover above
a journey a trajectory and path unknown
ocean waves battering thundering to shores
oh woods where tangled vines creep birds sing
birds of many species singing with joy each day
flowers wild and unruly twining and creeping
winds with their constant solemn music
rain that the forests and woods drink
blue water in ponds streams rivers and lakes
oh creatures that sleep in hollows safe from harm
sun in the azure sky shining on earth
moon up there trustworthy for night dreams

Premium Member In Chimera Happiness

orange-caramel color
steeps into the lotus mug
flower and the leaves
cherry like candy
lifts from the golden liquid
left hand round the waist, hold hands
with the handle, lip
pressed to the rim, intimate
serendipitous-savor
the flavor of rose
petals and hips, cinnamon
apple, almond and cherry
sipping oolong slow
over lips and tongue, twining
in chimera happiness
might open eyes to bonsai

Where was I

Haunting questions
gather, slow and heavy,
threads of shadow
twining ruin in their grasp:
why did He permit it?
Why them, and not others?
A finger rises,
silent, merciless,
piercing the sky’s veins,
a cry turned to stone,
accusing the eternal.
Yet I do not lay on God
the weight of every wound,
nor shatter silence
with the clamor of doubt.
Instead, I remain,
a vigilant dust,
and within me,
a thought stirs, trembling:
where was I,
a scattered fragment,
when He sketched
the abyss and the light?
When the first breath
stirred the void
and the Word
unfolded on the wind?

Journey with a Spouse

Spouse, not just a word,
A feeling, a call to partnership,
Right, you heard.

A journey together,
Making folklore, many memories later,
Friend for all weather.

Time for shared responsibilities,
for her, for him and of course twining
Have faith in abilities.

Presenting moments to learn,
Many more to unlearn, reinvent,
Someday yearn.

Spouse supports you,
On your journey, through thick & thin,
Isn’t it true?

Through ups & downs,
Life’s unpredictable shocks & bolts
With spouse, no frowns!

When life is happy & gay,
Sunshine bright, smells so right,
Ecstasy at play.

So, guys admire & respect,
A bond so surreal, thy part not in heaven or realm of spirits
No fences to erect!

Premium Member Spring Garden

Spring
has come,
and bees buzz
butterflies float
and hummer's hover.
My garden is blooming
with bright wildflowers and green,
vines twining, creeping here and there.
Baskets of yellow, red, orange .... sway,
oh, Spring, I do adore you please do stay !

Climbing Vines

The paring knife of winter
undams the dense brown
blood. Asps awaken and seethe—.

Twining stems sweat,
Irregular coralla dance
around your feet, pray at your altar.

Children of the soil, meek
and mirthless—no currency
save the smooth skin of spring.

Flexous philosophies, grown
splendidly in the shade
do not flower well in sunlight.

Black axillaries, soft feather!
Cower in the green heat,
pull away in kindness.

The slate gray scrape of whetstone
Sunlight sharpens her blade—
a smile carved through the clouds.

Colored By the Numbers

Diametric …
art and commerce
Twining symbols
colors adverse
 Yin & Yang
divergent segues
Each stigmatic
 bloddy payday
Fraternal image
Louvre / Montmartre
Black tie bidding
cobbled heart
A poor man sings
a rich man vies
On bartered canvas
 —truth defies

Twining Souls In Mergence Empathy

My love
My beautiful
Soul, your scent of deep love
Lingers, in your essence of life,
As I

Inhale
Eternity
And beyond, feeling your
Blue blood flow under my skin and
My bones

The core
Of my marrow
Knowing that you are my
Healing antidote in my nights
Of dark

Torment
Breathing for me
As your heart beats with mine
A sacred strength forevermore.
Till my

Last breath,
Devoted to
Your existence of love
Hearing the wind call your name ebb
Beneath

Sparks of
A glimmering
Rain of stardust and rings
Of Saturn, our mergence to the
Moon and

Back, and
Everywhere, for
I will wait for you in
The rays of the sun and glisters
Of stars.

Premium Member Follow Me

follow me into a lush dreamy jungle
dripping, steamy and sultry
I am one with nature and with a drifting green stream
and the soft moss and the wet ferns
                    follow me . . .
and float in tranquility
beneath us water reeds sway and roll
oh, so many hues dwelling in harmony
juniper, sage, olive, blue, pine, blue, purples and pinks
see the sweet emerald green of a little frog
small little yellow fish kiss our toes
                  follow me . . .
a lovely pink flower dips into the green stream
          an orange snake slithers quietly
    a purple butterfly flutters by
                         a blue bird sings sweetly
green twining vines meander in the dark foliage
        my sage eyes whisper
fall into the lush depths with me
I will take you to a world full of utter peace
where all beautiful shades of nature, mingle and entwine
                                    follow me . . .

Premium Member Ode To a Sign

A sign, slanted rays in mid-morning hour.
Opening of tomb
with power.
Before it spoke, was hidden in tree’s womb -
scar of wood,
in tandem two parts.
Much like the sign on Calvary - I AM
stained on splintered wood…
twining hearts.
Man’s substitute - in the thicket a ram.

Matthew 28:6, He Has Risen -
a sign that believes.
A prison
of florals, eggs, butterflies and green leaves.
A feast to
the soul of my eyes.
The circular pattern - the ring of life.
Tulips royal hue.
Wings arise.
What all long for - sign speaks of afterlife.

Most poignant the sign above bleeding lamb;
mine is uplifting.
Pounding bam -
character etched in wood, in this gifting.
A debate
of stencilled brush-light -
daffodils - orange and yellow, curved leaves -
blue-green shades, a fete.
Future bright.
Open eyes to the sign - this one believes.

"Two doves in white flying, feathers glow
beneath the morning's rainbow colors."

                           Quote by _Charles Messina

The dawning of morning begins as a luminous glow,
such artistry in that first blush that infuses the sky;
and there beneath heaven two white doves fly,
            their winged plumage panache,
radiant gliding in the first light.
And then, a soft flush of pigment stain in a pinkish wash,
the doves twining and flying apart in glimmering flight;
now, the sky is hued in gold,
soon the sky blue will unfold.
