body memory

this is not love
burning my soul to ashes...

this cannot be love
that made my heart scream
until its love fell off at the edge of life

i have waited for a full day
to tell on you to mama
to tell to tell to tell

of how you slipped
into me
whilst i was asleep

creating fear in my heart
with your fierce look at me
ordering me to shhh shhhh shhh shut up

my body carries
a violent memory
of you forcing entry into me
of you soaking my fragile skin
with your stinking sweat

and i know this’ and i know this

that when you imprisoned me in this painful memory
you also imprisoned yourself in guilt –

unless you are a psychopath, remorseless –

As Snow Falls, Spring Falls

On my heart, a winter swathed
palm
Her spring flowers only right for
When chill itself dons out windblown—
Attached there by my faithful arm.
Green there and here tell on you soft,
Your story's places in the snow—
While meek flakes sleep on my
breastbone—
From your heart, I shake only warmth.

The spring's time to melt frozen gauze,
My whisper in the landing seen
On ice's shine to you,
magical
The winter sun— winter's end be,
When the looking snow further falls—
Our intercession, heart-to-heart.

Premium MemberBring Them Home

Oh pray tell on what distant shore
does my loved one sleep tonight

I often wish that not once more
my love would leave my sight

How can it be just yesterday
Our dreams we both did share

Yet this morn my heart does pray
lord bring them home from there

Premium MemberChubs

Chub wears a miniature Santa Suit
Within the circle, he is in cahoots
With several friends, they know what to do
They tell on each other and themselves too

He is standing on a snail. Isn’t that bad?
He is reaching too far, does that make you mad?
He is doing the wrong thing again, irritating me.
I finally have to turn away from Chubs, so I can be free.

Beauty of Night

Candles scented and placed on the bedside,
giving room to scan the novel, left to read.
Soft music played, prepped to soothe the self,
as cocoa butter lotions the skin to smooth.
Silk sheets await the body, cold vices on tune,
no time to tell on when the numbness is due.
Tingles are now present, slowly fading into non-existence,
for some moments are as sober as the mind.
Workplace troubles have no home here,
neither are complications of the world,
there lies dreams of possibilities,
where manifestations arise.
Dreaming is believing, reality is mean,
the choice to keep floating will always come cheap.

"Sometimes we live in our minds rent free, to escape from the cruelty of reality" ~ Izintombi Zamambo

Premium MemberHow Smart Was That

Shebetheria was excited beyond excited.
Today was the first day she was able to conjure an elixir
Since she was released from the spell of the Dragon Maker.

She had made a mistake and accidentally turned his family
into squirrels and elves, and she had to forfeit six years of her life
to pay for this tiny mishap.

She began to toss her potions together, anxious to try ideas
she had been conjuring and contriving for the past six years.
The Dragon Masker stopped by to watch.

Any chance you could get my family back? He asked, hopefully.
She did better than that. She instantly turned him into a squirrel.
Not only can he join them now, but he cannot tell on her
or incarcerate her.

How smart was that? She asked herself.
A giant vision came out of the cauldron and laughed with her.
You are about to find out, a hollow voice said from the cauldron.
It was the Dragon Masker's voice.

Premium MemberNo One

The sign of times where we want to blame
want to tell on others and shame
we see major changes in the news
many untruths and lies
relationships that begin to die
need to learn in hard times
if we want to survive
then we need to regain focus
re-connect to our hearts
if we want to make a new start
we need to stand in our truth
while still being honest and kind
in our wisdom remember
no one owns- no one controls us
most of all no one on earth
 has authority over us
no one---no one earthly
only our Father above.

Ask It This

If the sun could tell on me, you could ask it this,
“Does Jesus' presence warm her heart? “
it will answer yes!
His presence warm my coldest nights
the way the sunlight warms the days,
awakening my sleeping soul,
by the light of a single ray.

If the wind could tell on me, you could ask it this,
“Is Jesus always on her mind?”
it will answer yes!
Thoughts of Him surround and fill me
as the air is there to breath,
that at my first breath of Him,
I was filled with serenity.

If a mountain could tell on me, you could ask it this,
“Will she climb the highest peaks for Him?”
it will answer yes!
Mountains high could never be in-between,
a desire as strong as mine,
for it is His arms that carry me up,
it is in His strength that I can climb.

If the ocean could tell on me, you could ask it this,
“Does she love Jesus with all her heart?”
it will answer yes!
Because His love is what holds me
the way the water fills the sea,
Jesus' love is the deepest,
now and will forever be!

Premium MemberPostscript

Verse in odd rhymes
Bring awkward chimes

Word echoes strain
In meaning plain

Works in brisk ink
Tell on verge brink

Ideas now toil
To catch good spoils

Dare to word right
As soul takes flight

In a line brief
Watch mellow grief

No much can link
That funny think

See what you see
Yet let things be

Pique postscript then
For hope knows when

Buzz on a trust
Seize glimpse you must

Beauty Queen

Muddy shoes beside her bed
Thoughts of you inside her head
Sheets that smell of gasoline
Been a long night for the beauty queen

Light flickers from a distant fire
Ask for the truth, she'll be the liar
The sight of you it turned her mean
Kiss and tell on the mezzanine

She's not one to reckon with
That was your last forever lasting kiss
Chair propped up against the knob of the bedroom door
Guess that oughta even up the score

Muddy shoes beside her bed
Thoughts of you inside her head
Sheets that smell of gasoline
Been a long night for the beauty queen

Notice Potus

Donald Trump has one Golden Rule
A Winner must always be cruel
Today he's nice
Like rats or mice
Because, you know, its April Fool!

With his Cabinet of felons
Trump sought Stormy Daniel's melons
The Democrats jeered
But Republicans cheered
And promised not to be "tell-on"s

Prize then calm peace as passion plays,
Ask to be clear of soul's fond feel;
Sense that true ease where act moves say,
Seek with good cheer love's happy thrill;
Ink with wise scope the path of hope,
Opt to address that gracious touch;
Note how zest ropes true wit to cope.
Etch to caress sparkle as such,
Mind your own heart in lavish zest;
Endow sheer peace with finesse grand,
Reach as you start your ample fest;
Greet bubbly ease with joy dear friend,
Express fine writes that tell on you,
Success now cites just what you do.

Premium MemberMax and the Fire

Pyromaniac me decided to build a fire.
My older grandchildren were all for it. Helping me drag limbs.
My four and a half year old grandson Max ran in to "tell on me".
He was really mad, and semi sure that Grandpa would stop me.

Ah, little boy, I guess you did not get the memo.
I can do what I want here.
Grandpa thought it was hilarious.
He had to stop Max from dialing the phone to call the fire department.

Max kept yelling "Call 911! Call the fire department."
Great bonding experience for him and grandpa, who was
Thrilled to keep him safe, on his knee, eating crackers,
Talking about how crazy grandma is.

Sad mad story
Telling on me

What's the hurry?
You can tell me

Mad sad story
A glimpse I see

What's the worry?
Notes tell on me

Sad sad story
Just about me

What's the story?
Now you tell me

Premium MemberClay Mask

Can you not see?
I wear a mask
To disguise spree
In my mad task.

I wear a grin
And hide my lie
With poise within
That spawns sad eyes.

I wear my guile
That tell on you
With a shrewd smile
In what I do.

I style a sigh
To a harsh world
That kills my highs
As terror swirls.

I groom a face
Hidden from sight
To plant deep trace
As prize prompts right.

I do not mind
The tears I cry
But work to bind
True tact I try.

I am but clay
Where longing piles
In glimpse of play
In pieces vile.

Am I not vile
But greed knows dash
Of tricks that pile
As conflicts clash.

I know fond gain
In keeping scores
For mask hides plain
My stash and store.

I sing and dance
With relish grand
To dare breeze chance
Of choice I stand.

I wear a mask
That hides my face
To confront task
In secret space.

Why do I mask
My sensuous feel
In private bask
Of blinding thrill?
