Pulled a face when he swallowed a tapeworm
Made him wriggle and jiggle and squirm
down his gullet it slipped
his demeanour now flipped
He hopes it passes through in the short term
tapeworm boogie shakes a bouncing bloated belly
intestine dance wiggling like blueberry jelly
squeezing innards in his weird enjoyment game
being the favorite parasite of all his intended aim
he stays quiet and comfortably camouflaged
dislodging rancid beef that once was colon lodged
tape worm boogie with a fancy happy sashay
shaking and quaking in a joyful bloated belly way

If love were 'dark matter'
it would be the size
of a small kidney stone.
Hate is
an intestinal tapeworm
that gnaws at our vitals,
though most folks
remain unsure just what 'vitals' are.
The human brain
does not write poetry,
it merely crouches inside one ear,
while shouting into the other.
Poetry abides at the center
of an ever-expanding constellation
deep within the pineal gland -
that physical presence
manipulates, as many as
ten fingertips or toes
plus, a sloshed Calliope
swinging back and forth,
as she clings precariously
to chandelier-like Adam's apple.
Lips learn to think for themselves,
with the help of undocumented
angels.
Thus, naturally
organically produced poetry
can easily be manifest
while a nose dips deep
into a foaming glass of beer.
A leech came after me in my sleep.
So I dreamed up a tapeworm.
Silly mistake.
Now I am being eaten.
Slowly and mightily.
From the inside out,
And the outside in.
The roundworms and flatworks are knocking.
I dare not listen.
Not wanting any more strife.
In what is left
Of my rapidly disappearing body.
no matter if I'm dying
only matters if you're lying
well enough to believe it
only matters if I'm lying
in your eyes or cheating
only matters if you're flying
over the stars and the rainbow
only matters if I'm lying
pretty useless like a tapeworm
I'm just dying so I'm lying
and I don't have the energy to hide it
but still I'm cheating
cause my heart is beating
and you will always be the champion
The Flibbertigibbet
Such a ludicrous name, unto you may never have been heard;
But The Flibbertigibbet Demon, lives in the land of words.
They hide there in The Thesaurus, in front of our eyes;
Like The Devils spies in paradise.
The bookworm with tapeworm, failed to see The Flibbertigibbet.
But then one day The Bookworm, just happened to come across it.
It stood out from the rest, because it didn’t sound human;
Then I read the description and it simply said Demon.
The demonic disguise, lead to the corruption of the mind.
It is now forever entwined, with the Flibbertigibbet inside.

Love feast by Steven Hudson
I have looked upon too many scarred, sullen and hard faces these many days.
Loud, crude, gruff men who take and push and fight.
This ship has run its course, sleepless, tossed about,
Every port and harbor, sea and foreign land.
My companions smell and to look at them would make you turn down.
I’m pretty sure I have a tapeworm and my piss is the wrong color.
So my love, when here at last I see your face,
You’re smile, piercing eyes, and silky long hair,
To gaze at you now is a love feast to behold,
And from now and forever you will always be…..
The most captivating golden retriever I have ever seen.
Dateline: 19 August, 2008 – Sun Times Headline - Man says 9-foot tapeworm came from undercooked salmon salad
I thought it appropriate to share this with you on its anniversary.
TAPEWORM
I felt the movement deep inside
And as it passed I almost died
To see a creature 9-foot long
Come out of me – it’s wrong – IT’S WRONG!
It came, I think, from Salmon Salad
I was sick for days and somewhat pallid
But the feeling passed, I carried on
Not knowing there was something wrong
Then a wiggle here, a wiggle there
Eating more and passing air
Then dizziness and vertigo
Cramps and colic and a need to go
Combined with weight loss, muscle pain
Brought it all back once again
I didn’t catch the tell-tale signs
Until at last my system binds
Nothing coming – nothing going
Until at last a tail is showing
I don’t know why it lost its grip
Or when it all began to slip
All I know is a tapeworm
Will lose its grip and start to squirm
I felt the movement deep inside
And as it passed I almost died
To see a creature 9-foot long
Come out of me – it’s wrong – IT’S WRONG!

Pained memory A hurt of kind
Inbedded deep This tapeworm of time
Like the distant rings of Saturn
Now on outer edges Once the centers core
Still lashed by length of reach
Peices from the heart
Fed-upon, forevermore
