Swaddle Poems

Premium MemberMr Mustard Comes Tonight

Rig rag
Shaggy rag
Rip, rip, rip,
Wrinkle in the water
A wilder whisper
Crepuscular crème brûlée.

What is madness really?
Have I not a wordly thought?
Wordly jumble,
Words, words, words,
Coherent as a Dostoevsky mumble.
Musing wrists and elbows in a swaddle,
Up of green and purple trumpets,
Sickly technicolour cuddle.

Circadian bunny pudding.
Hullo, there it is again!
I saw it there, just there!
Did not. But so I did!

I’m not mad, I saw it there.
A rig rag shaggy rag?
No, not that.
You did not see it — no.
It’s gone now — half a moment.
Is it there? The level jelly?
Come with us, dearie.

Cuddle cuddle,
Jelly swaddle.
Sleep a day or nine.
Till it wears off, the custard killer.
Mr. Mustard comes tonight.

Faith

Take it
And
Feed it tears shed in a lion's embrace
After
Bathe it in light bred in an empty tomb
Then
Swaddle it in crimson wool, laced with a lamb's blood
And
Tell it tales of swords made into pruning hooks
While
Singing lullabies of eagles' wings in winter, and mother hen's in spring
Then
Kiss it goodnight
And
Wish it dreams of lotus ponds, draped with poppies from end to end
And
End with the promise of tomorrow's sunrise
That
Reminds us faith functions as a conjunction, which links us to the power of God
And
Helps to propagate His miracles

BREATHE

Announcing her swift arrival, hanging chimes sing
gentle breeze of calmness by pure soft harmonic tones
as my adrenaline rush amidst the loud chaos erupting
eagerly stepping outside to feel her presences of grace
gently caressing my skin as she flow threw my hair
feeling a sense of serenade and swaddle as I breathe
aligning and balancing the need for my inner peace.

To carry a child in your womb
And then allow nature to bloom
As you swell now like blue moon
And there’s a crowd in the birthing room

For one born in the midst of June
Dr nurses swaddle and swoon
Heart of God is this art maroon
Mothers pain replaced by a tune

Lullaby for cries to meet her soon
Mother and tribe family welcomes you
Big beautiful eyes shiny and new
Jewel of life a crown of youth

Premium MemberThe Rise

The rise, like an inhale
breathe slowly, breathe longingly
The fattening of the dough
the tummy expectant, the tummy expanding
Cocooned in its nest
its stretchiness, its pleasant scents
Like an infant in a swaddle
the soothing towel, slightly moist
The rise, like an inhale
breathe slowly, breathe longingly
The ascent complete
lungs exhaustively expanded, waiting to exhale
The arousing response
bright light, hands stimulate dough
The pushback of palms
elasticity released, globular rest
The rise, like an inhale
breathe slowly, breathe longingly
After shaping the dough
blanket over sleeping creation, one final rest
Our daily bread
of prayer produced, from suffering loosed
The “fourth man” in the oven graced
inner softness, cortical strength

Dearest heart Beloved
May our Father watch over you
As Engle as a dove

And as your slumber rest and sleep
May He keep you in His perfect peace
May His words speak to you

May His breath in you keep you
May His arms swaddle embrace protect you
May His words speak to you more love and joy this night for sure

Beloved, you shall be more loved and in more joy this night in His New "Days" comes

Always
Loved
Always
Amen Hallelujah
Amen

Autumn Yawns

Autumn yawns – early darkness stunts her days
Eventide wrapped in golden umber tones
Bands of autumn hues swaddle mellow haze
Sunset sundrops sweet serenades intone.

Twilight dozes ‘neath the harvest’s birthstone
Autumn savors new frost in early dusk
Scarlet scents, aphrodisiac cologne,
Festoon icy crystals - autumnal musk.

Vesper rondeaus rustle in dry cornhusks
Scents of spice float in the warm afterglow
Autumn tastes nursery rhymes like sweet rusks
Stars keep watch in astral autumn meadows

She slips into the mellow midnight’s glow
Drowsy barcarolles bid Autumn goodnight
Harvest hectic days through cradle songs slow
Lullabies wait to croon in faded lights

Drowsy barcarolles bid Autumn goodnight
Bands of autumn hues swaddle mellow haze
Lullabies wait to croon in faded lights
Autumn yawns – early darkness stunts her days.

Premium MemberGive Ups-

Feeling depressed put down a drug of choice
Reminisce remember when you were a babe
You were innocent
Snuggle
Swaddle
Embraced by mother
God was in you then
 He's also in you now
So why all the give ups giving up
Throwing up their sins
Throwing it into the wind
They lose they fall
During withdrawal
Why must they give up, give up
When there's a God of Grace
In space
He's around you
With the love that's ever true
Nothingness
In your distress
Keep on or wait you're waiting swallowing
Waddling
Waiting through the test you give up
Or just a breath a whisper
In The wind flowing
Blowing
Traveling falling
Expiring so when you mess up, mess up
Only give Jesus your sin
That's the only way you going to win
This is the song of the give ups

Nativity

Twilight in the stable
 Soft rays slant in radiance
Lingering voices and starlight
 Swaddle the eternal light
Serenading the Word
 Who sang them into life

Premium MemberBethlehem Was Sold Out

Bethlehem was sold out except for the stable.
Christmas story, the snowy swaddle of a babe.
His prophetic lineage, as old as Father Abe.
Healing, forgiveness of sins - wholly capable.

Star light, star bright, the brightest illumination
of all the stars, the sun, the moon and angels.
Hear trumpets blow and choir of Christmas bells.
At the brink of breakthrough, presenting salvation.

Father God looked on as his son, the earth received.
The devil was aware and went into murder mode,
was afraid to be stepped on, for his head to explode.
The roundup of shepherds and wise men believed.

Star light, star bright, the brightest illumination
of all the stars, the sun, the moon and angels.
Hear trumpets blow and choir of Christmas bells.
At the brink of breakthrough, presenting salvation.

Premium MemberAutumn Whispers and Flails Her Arms

It’s raining leaves and acorns
Contrast of sound
Silent shapes and colors drifting
Meanwhile the nuts
Shelling my roof, my deck, the air

Autumn whispers and flails her arms
No doubt now she’s arrived
She’s arrived in brisk fashion today
She’s armed and dangerous
and beautiful and clamorous,
turning bold and cold
and amorous.

Why do I say amorous?

Married couples will move from the sides
of their bed, to cuddle-pretend, igniting
fires in the center of their universe…
falling…falling…falling
in love, not minding the other
breathing down their neck,
the oceanic snore,
cold feet.

Cold feet, you say?

The flirtation of feet
will create giggles, in fact.
Only makes the heart grow fonder
in this autumnal swaddle.

If you're too young to understand,
well *bless your heart—

Go take a flying leap
into a crunchy, harvested,
wholesome pile of down…

down you go
in your innocence
make it last

because raking lasts,
as well—

you’ll find out soon enough
about aches and pains—
falling…

oft said in a covert and condescending way.
