#fly

I'm looking so fly
even groovy she says
in threads
from the retro store

#embrace #nonet

Let the night enfold our sacred bond
where shadows softly play for us,
suspending time in moments
of our blissful wishes
and tomorrow dreams~
why must daylight
then arrive
and love
end?

#visit

bumblebee
in the lobelia
a late lunch

#reminisce

tiger lillies can't
reminisce when there's no one
worth talking to

~'O Tiger-lily,' said Alice... 'I wish you could talk!' 'We can talk,' said the Tiger-lily: 'when there's anybody worth talking to." ~Lewis Carroll

#share

she's lived her fair share~
comedy and tragedy
the balance of life

#cherish

oh! fireflies ...
that memory of you
here then gone

#prank

sunflowers
following the sun
until clouds pop up

Composition in D Minor

Withered fingers
Cannot play anymore;
I drown in nuanced shades of blue,
Not seeing, in my plight,
My strings, wound tight,
Suspending me
Like a puppet,
Tethered to life.

I in my tattered clothes,
Blue like sorrow,
Torn like the heart that hopes,
Unable to keep out the cold
Or cover the secrets I hold—
I am the man who mopes,

               Holding my guitar close
               As it whispers its chords
               Whilst I, cross-legged, ponder
               Life in rags and cardboards.

Back to the old routine:

               Awash in blue,
               This song’s for you:

Echoes of a gunshot;

                              The click of a trigger.

Premium Member Jolted By Twilight

Once again the silvery moon has pilfered the golden sun
Total eclipse is upon me, time has elapsed suspending orange
Twilight’s begun on the orb’s descending softer glow

Veiled in twilight…
Placid and limitless, I’ve glimpsed into the frontier in tranquil rapture
Moon aligns sans sun’s bright face

Jolted by twilight…
I coast along a sea of stars juddered wildly
Waves spanning the sky avec abandon
Embraced by star-strewn externals
I leave behind a familiar harbor
Anchored are my temporal remnants down in the terrestrial realm
My spirit soaring, a mirthful lodger I be,
swimming in twilight’s radiance
Its celestial smile shall be the death of me...

embracing star-strewn
crowned external forevers~
we soar the tides dance

Soulmate

“In the misty corridors of the soul”
The dream may not be seen
For it’s somewhere very sacred
With visions in-between…

Where time has slipped to be shipped
In the unknown place
Which floats you to a never-land
Suspending one in space.

Though whoa I thought I saw him
My friend from long ago,
His beautiful dark skin
Shimmered with a glow.

Just a glimpse within without
Caught me unaware,
And lead me to my maker
In a solemn prayer.

Fall

Sudden slump of that which was erect
Which by standing up tries to correct -
Continually, we meet a fall,
As athletes compete; during football,
Nearly always suspending a game,
Referees whistle protecting its name.
Time for awarding a team free kick:
One way of letting a squad wounds luck…

In a clinic a malfunctioning heart:
Cause for the medics to around dart
By the fainting who had not eaten,
For nothing he had left in kitchen;
This type of fall the solvable
By fronting one with consumable…

Not the from-Grace-to Grass of Greats
The painful crash of once heavy weights:
Their well-fought fame burning to cinders
But tomorrow’s rise not this hinders…

Premium Member African Moonflower On a Moon Day

                      Moonflower with white trumpet-shaped bloom
Dewy emerald leaves surround in nights gloom.
Cased in rich soil beneath a quarter moon.
Planted vines loosely knit—by my bedroom they sit.
Sweet fragrance they emit— to incense I submit.
                      Stunning tropic morning glories amaze
Sunlight and moonlight upon them gaze.
Phantasmic nightlamps in jade landscape haze.
                      Night’s primrose, moonglow calls—unveiling enthralls.
                      Dangling shadowy shawls— glistening waterfalls
Flowery white faint lavender tones loom.
Oh sleepy Moon by day lucidly lit,
Behold twilight’s glimmer on garden’s walls:
Gibbous Moon’s gleam suspending in a daze.

Quando La Mente Dorme

(When Mind Sleeps)

Shadows seeping / weeping back reflections
measured passion, hand-to-hand passion
tears upon cherished faces, lantern of white rice
which face fully morning singing birds glides
as Souls, through windy tongues

In everything I return in side my heart
Suspending the feet upon toes of my marble
Sweeping breath turning love's headlights
raising hands with love

As from the very last house of my mouth.
Disgust was the moon with melan choly
speaks lost dreams ~~ only dreams we
see while weeping silently at night

Backporch

Sweet-smelling Georgia pines,
A whispering wind a-blowin', suspending time.
Chickadees and sparrows frolicking atop,
This cold Coke I think I'll pop.

Premium Member To Set One's Feet Upon the Trail

To set one's feet upon the trail,
to briefly put one's life on hold,
suspending what that might entail,
is to relax, unfurl, unfold.

To set one's feet upon
fresh, loamy dirt, observe
the night give break to dawn,
arouse forgotten nerves…

To set one's feet
firm on the earth
embrace complete
creation's worth…

To set
out wrong, to fail
is sure, if one forgets
to set one's feet upon the trail…

Asthma Plus Miasma

A student battling with Asthma
And vaporous Miasma
Wouldn't he pack up Charisma?
Soon, confront the sure dilemma
Of suspending his Diploma
Or sniffing Hard Work's aroma...

Espy I do Anathema,
Its picture clearest cinema:
A man from a great deal barred
And a future that might be marred...

Worse than malfunctional plasma
Bad Asthma plus Bad Miasma!

Sans ego, who are we

“All that is, is God-consciousness ~
Dance divine, in sheer playfulness “

____________________________

Presupposing separation from God,
we thus eclipse the light by our own hand,
playing mind games until heart’s lust has thawed,
whereupon soul’s freed, right here where we stand.

We’re here on earth, to imbibe love by touch,
suspending judgment and narrow belief,
letting go of ritualistic crutch,
making room within, granting soul relief.

Let love distil each and every action,
before it’s release as thought, word or deed,
mindfully calming ego’s reaction,
which is self-serving, spawning fear and greed.

Strange is this God-search game of hide and seek
His abode’s in our heart ~ take a sneak peek

Emi’lokan, the lyrics from a loon,
the vituperation born from the womb of greed,
the menace of recycled gangsters.
Emi’lokan, the beggarly shame of old vermin,
the intrusion of mafias and thuggish urchins,
Emi’lokan, The insanity accepted as norm,
Emi’lokan the dystopia of dementia, great grandfathers
suspending relevance of their poisoned docile Youths,
Emi’lokan, The cornucopia of fraud.
Emi’lokan the senseless Politics of bribery, of rice, tomatoes and grains.
the desperation of old thieves at the precipice of the grave.
Emi’lokan, where election is a lie,
Emi’lokan the lom of no reputation,
Emi’lokan though devoid of dignity,
Emi’lokan robbers without conscience,
Emi’lokan injustices without consequence,
Emi’lokan of diabetes and paralysis cloaked in deceptive "Babariga"
Emi’lokan where profligates bands hover over us.
Emi’lokan in the country of rogues.
