Eclectic Notions On A Sunbeam

Eclectic Notions on A Sunbeam

I cannot see inside your mind unless it’s telescopic
On bended knee it rains sublime with the next contentious topic
I’m rendered please into decline as I am incline to stop it
Befriended a line of enchanted rhyme to retreat from the myopic

Auspicious arguments that have no point or vision
Vicious bargains that consort to continue upon their mission
Superstitious monuments that distort the acquisition
Pernicious paradigms for high concept mimes that refute the inquisition

Social intimidation before you’ve even left the house
Perocial lamentations leave you quiet as a mouse
Antisocial inclinations at the introverted house
Precocial salutations that leave me wanting to renounce

Perspectives on the global scene bereft of accuracy or intention
Detectives of the broken dreams wishing upon the next invention
Reflective thoughts before the scream to bequeath an intercession
Eclectic notions on a sunbeam underneath my last confession

Sunbeam

I live for moments like these
when a sunbeam shines through the tall amber brush at just the right angle
When you can smell snow in a winter sky
How the pink undertones of my olive skin look against the silver sage grass
The solemn song of birds in the late afternoon sun
I wish to always greet the world as if I were a fawn with newborn legs trembling in anticipation of it's very first run
Chasing the taste of beauty
What is life without endless fascination
The way I melt when you come into view
I'll keep being drunk with desire and fill my eyes with tantalizing sights
I will fill my ears with music
Holding on to what is most precious in life
I will keep you here behind my eyes
So that my heart will always be filled with joy

Nations, countries, territories
You can’t see me over those
Piles of rubbish, telling stories
Fake old glories they impose
They attempt to pluralize me
Politicians of all sorts
As if I was legalizing
Their repressions by default
Hope you won’t generalize me
For some doctrine or a scam
You can always sympathize me
Taking me for what I am
For I’m not an implication
Of some national decree
I’m a different variation
Written in a different key
I’m a ball your dog would like to
Play with, in the afternoon
I’m a sunbeam, shining through
Leaves of autumn in your room
You would laugh and think I’m crazy
(Those who aren’t, must be rare)
At the last row I’m a gazer
Sleeping in my easy chair.

Premium MemberSuspended In A Sunbeam

Quote by: Melancholy Of Innocence
LOVE is the spark within the speck illuminated & suspended in a sunbeam.

A ray of sunbeam falls across her face as she plays piano
a warm sunlight caresses the keys and brings to life
memories of love that bloom like noon day sun

Suspended in time like a soft sonata lingering on the mind
sensual, sexy, like a silk chemise wafting in the wind
yesterday's story sits unsung, arias captured OH! my heart

Here in her forever she sings softly to no one in particular
habile as the sentinel that perches and then soars
the illumined face of an Angel, a speck a spark of LOVE

that no amount of silence can clothe....

Sunbeam Serenade

In golden hues that dance upon the land,
the radiant light, a painter’s delight.
A symphony of colors, hand in hand,
illuminate the world, both day and night.
A prism of emotions, it reveals
the way it softly kisses every face.
A soft caress, the heart it deeply heals,
and paints a picture filled with awe and grace.
At dawn, it rises, casting rays of gold,
awakening the slumbered earth from rest.
With gentle warmth, its secrets it unfolds,
inviting nature’s beauty to attest.
So let us capture in our hearts and minds
the way the light looks, so divine, so kind.

*I wrote this poem on January 10, 2024, as part of a ’30 days of poetry’ January challenge. This was day 10 and the prompt was: Capture the way the light looks. I chose to challenge myself further by writing my first sonnet.

Like a sunbeam that fell from the sky
is your radiant gaze, gorgeous guy,
and with one look at you,
    I know love could be true;
I got caught in the blink of your eye.

Sunbeam Souls

Date:8 October 2020

The Sunbeams pass
slamming the door to a heartbeat.
A generational rejection
to my face that softens my feet
while I cringe on more notes.

An evolution that has
declined, suppose I curl
my spine towards
an endless beauty
of highly stylized wrinkles.

The more I witness.
the fierceness of my tribe ages.
The angry men that I have raised
as rocks seek my eyes and tribulations.
Take me to a timeless peace.

Dissolving into another,
bridging the breathing has
taught me to harvest better energies
as I pay my daydreams
until we meet.

I have felt unknown shivers
in these streets.
Raising the parenthood
of all these teenage feels but still

he found a way to move into my soul.

Premium MemberSunbeam Sleeves

Winter leaves us shivering, and leaves trees bare
As we await the cherished spring
 Snow is everywhere
And upon the branches snowflakes cling
As silence becomes frozen on the wing

Spring brings to trees their leaves of green
And brings all the blooms we see
The landscape becomes a beautiful scene
 And squirrels chatter with glee
As they scamper up a dogwood tree

Then birdsongs awaken me at dawn
as the wind rustles through the leaves
The sun rises with a yawn
And through the foliage its light weaves
And attires the branches with sunbeam sleeves

Premium MemberSunbeams At Dawn

At daybreak,
the sea sheens, glints and gleams,
as sunbeam shafts blasts holes through clouds,
to set the sea alight.

Cauldron pools so bright,
sparkle the sea with shimmering brilliance.

Searchlight sunbeams, panning the sea,
create a celestial celebration of dawn,
at daybreak.

Sunbeam

Dainty feet on the cold wooden floor ,
I shuffle across the boards quietly ,
wrapped in our sheet ,
The pups nails tinkering next to me .
He knows who im looking for .
Down the hallway,
Past our framed faces and memories.
I smell coffee .
I squint ; stepping into the sunlight
That floods our kitchen.
And there he is , like every morning .
Nose in a book, mug of coffee steaming
Next to him.
He smiles and slowly closes his book , grabbing the front of the sheet and pulling me into his lap.
" you're a vision in white ".

My Sunbeam Cold

MY SUNBEAM COLD
A poem (about birth)
Lionel Derbyshire

It is going to be a while
For me to stand on my
Own two little feet
For today I am newly
Born out of my mother
In all from God’s grace
Our naked hands are
Reaching out to each
And at the touch
She draws me nearer
We grab at each other
Still bonded umbilically
We keep tight and
Yield our first greeting
To each other.

Mom’s hands are
Coming nearer to me
And in the embrace
She sweeps my face
Right to my little head.
She keep’s me up and
My eyes are blinking
At my beautiful mom
I scent of new life
And lay in peaceful sleep
By her side.

Her skin is warm
She really feels
Like my own sunbeam.
And as she draws breath
Slow and slowly more
It becomes heavy..
And heavier more
My sunbeam is
Getting cold now
And colder more.

How could MOM
Leave me now..
And close
Her heart
After wiping my
New born face
Clean ..

My birthday
The last day
Mom held me in arms.

Will I ever say
" MOM "

A Song Upon a Sunbeam

My song's taken flight
Upon a beam of the sun
Across the vast land and sky
On the beat of drums.

Let its tune fill thee
With the magic of a flute
Dancing upon the heartbeat
Cadence of the drums.

It is sung for thee
To fill your heart, where distance
disappears and we can feel
Each other's presence.
