Corruption in the rumours and on the scenes
High profile slaps and cattle vaccines
Taxes, levies and airport leases
Pleasure decreases and pressure increases
Critics disappear in a bid to peddle fear
Rage and despair always lingers in the air
In the web of science and in the display of art
But it all meets a deaf ear and a hardened heart
Cry much tears and make much noise
But nothing under the sun presents choice
We are in the middle of a humbling occasion
Where we turn to God in desperation
We have tried change in its ranges
And for ages in sin and its wages
And the overturns have brought us to this
Where justifiers of war are men of peace
We now recall unheeded warnings
Now that we suffer squeezed earnings
But that is water under the bridge
We scale in huff the steepness to the ridge
Armed with no trust in fellow man
Neither buying his promise nor plan
And this I will teach my children
To cast faith only to God in Heaven.

The wide sea swells with muscular power:
surges under thundering clouds.
Waves
in chaos
rush and tower,
careless of steepness,
smash
in whirls of foam,
slam
on slabs of rock.
Until
tiring,
sighing as
rays of sunlight slice
a shredded grey sky,
the sea’s scaly skin sparkles:
the monster settles in rest.
Vast and deep are the mighty seas that roar.
Yet, at curving edges, surfers ride waves,
landing softly on sandy shores.
Sleeping under an afternoon haze, the sea stretches
between headlands: salty ocean beneath the sky’s hot breath.
A toddler with his mother is paddling in the shallows,
where little ripples run up the beach now the storms are gone.

A windy blow
uphill all the way
dog running ahead
as if we are going somewhere
we are going to the edge
the very edge of a steepness
Climb
dog panting
maybe me breathing
both pulling at a leash
mine is long and inelastic
dog has a bone in his soul
he won't let go of it
I got a rope for my life
in case a life gets stuck
on a ledge
or in case it doesn't
Blow wind blow
my darling is dead
the howl in my head
keeps me doggedly
clambering
bent to the gale
Dog looks back
black eyes wide
she's seen the top of the climb
knows the ghost in my mind
will not go further
her worried bark
a warning

slippery leaves lie
on the steepness of the yard
haphazardly on the road
autumn spokes in air
the travesty of cancer
shedding of the lovely oaks

The Blue Mist
Stepping a few feet from the trail, where
parents walked years before.
Just ahead, a few feet I saw it ascend quickly
at a grade of 30-40 degrees in steepness.
Until there was only The Blue Mist all around
knowingly, as they had back packed.
They seeing it as a blessing and struggle in
The Blue Mist beyond their 65th year.
In sadness came in thoughts of my father’s
step into The Blue Mist for the last time.
It was 7 or 8 years ago now, In the hospital for
tests on an intestinal blockage.
In the waiting room, his heart stopped wore out
from life in its past.
All attempts to revive him from The Blue Mist, failed.

Poem clarification: I am a farmer and this poem is about a racoon that was flipping the lids of my feed barrels. This is no easy feat to the point that i didn't even think it was possible that a racoon had the strength. This was a BIG racoon. It took almost two months to catch him. Never encountered such an adversary. I've caught red foxes easier, and they are they slyest of the woodland critters. Finally got him with a chicken head and a sticky bun!!!!!
The trip plate was baited with sweet deceit
Covering conformity to the bitter truth
Bit by a mouth with an adumbrated tooth
White lies are being strangled
And are turning an asphyxiating blue
My dying eyes are fixated on you
Salivating over prospects of tantalizing morsels
Both of us are blessed with a fine-tuned sensitivity
Feathered footsteps fall on the steepness of your declivity
No longer will I get to meddle in your affairs
The silent night does not listen as I cop a plea
To the trap door that has fallen shut behind me!

COASTLINES
Wearing medallions on their shoulders,
The hero waves of the Aegean
Smooth rounded boulders.
Brightness outside, and shadow deepness,
Ruins of civilization with columns,
Calming wind and heat haze - solemn
Olives clinging to steepness.
Naked waves without medallions,
The metallic hum of Atlantic breakers
Cuts ranks of basalt prism battalions.
Wind’s gusty spray, its hazy chill,
Its greyness here and around,
Fills half-buried tumuli mounds
In wet pine forest, on heather hill.

Rain falling with all it's
Patterns bestowed
Watching ground targets
Seeds calling
Root pouting coves
Stretching limbs in weakness
Meeting beginnings

The steepness of a hill on memory lane
As sun shines through whispered clouds
as tireder shoulders welcome rain
wet fingers grasp at shrouds
It's always easy going down
And okay to be alone
But only for a while

Your eyes are like two diamonds I fell into from far away
The steepness of them drowned me to the coolest point
I fell and hurt myself, but kept on walking to find your heart
Like red rivers under the ice your blood flows so swiftly
It kept on growing intense under my bare frustrated feet
Which drag me deep inside to the middle of your frozen heart
That spreads the red-hot blood I once have dipped my vein into
It stung so badly, but I bared the pain for your love.
I went too deep inside, I could feel the air beating the frozen feelings
Straight into my heart, they went and killed me with just an inhale
Right at the moment I stepped on the spot, where it used to hurt
Where I left myself, helpless, fragile, the me you knew before
Before it all ended with you dying on the floor
That we made together once, but you broke the law
To keep the ice away, far enough to pray the religion we created once
Not twice, impossible the fragments of it were
We learnt them by heart, and we saved them from the God.

Jagged rocks that tip my balance,
Vein like roots that trip my feet,
Branching weeds that scratch my legs,
The chill of the wind that steals my heat,
The steepness of this endless mountain,
The wanting, longing to reach the top,
The feeling that I can’t go on,
I need to let my body drop.
I see the end, the wind grows stronger,
The mountain seems to flatten out,
I can succeed; I’m almost there now,
My heart is screaming a silent shout.
The feeling of success is sweet,
The sky above, so baby blue,
I finally made it; the pain is gone now,
My prize, my cure: the enchanting view.
