Premium Member I REALLY HATE YOU!

Cancer
I loathe and detest you
If I'm honest, I really HATE you
I despise the way
You keep popping up to irritate us
like a smirking floating turd
Which we’d love to flush away forever

Attempts were made to eradicate you
Skilled surgeons tried to cut you out
But you were like a ‘cling on’ in the toilet of life
And you wouldn’t be brushed aside

Six years passed…
Then more intervention was needed
A radiation machine called ‘Holly’
Tried to zap you like a pesky mosquito
But you had other ideas

Four years passed
More specialised SABR radiation was required
We treated that week like a short break
Going on day trips on non treatment days
And enjoying life to the full

Two years on
Cancer has raised its ugly face once again
The specialist laughed when hubby said
“We will treat it like a week’s holiday”
Having a positive attitude is a must!

Cancer – you crept into our lives
People see you as a silent killer
But I will never be silent and de-turd
And we will continue to celebrate
How we’re beating the crap out of you!

Medical Language 101

I'm a med student, one day, I pray, an M.D,
learning about diseases from Brucella to T.B.

Prescribing medication much stronger than O.T.C,
baffling with new technology, specialised C.T.

For each patient I take their name, D.O.B and I.D,
then ask them why they're here, their personal I.C.E.

Do a health check, listen to their chest, take their B.P,
put my thinking cap on and consider, is it H.F or C.H.D?

The patients always ask 'How will it affect I?'
and contemplate the big question, the real reason Y?

But hopefully their symptoms will leave A.S.A.P,
and one day get a letter saying they're in the A.C.

Premium Member If I Give Up

Would you care at all
If I quit life
Would you safe me
Or at least attempt to
If I said
I am finished, done, kaput
Would you ask why?
You don’t feel much pain
Running the razor up
The vein
Much blood flows
You would have
Maybe 15 minutes
At best.....

I studied psychology
At a major level
Specialised in suicide
Still know nothing
To be honest.

Savages In Faith

In life have i come to realise,
In the progression of moon and time.
That many a believer bought by blood,
Are still tossed around like nods.
Many professed to have been in faith,
For decades,centuries,even from birth.
Seem to feed on milk still,
The strong meat may get broken their teeth:
Many have said even aloud,
Like a host of raven a-crowd:
'I'm born into this faith before you,
And can tell you by bound it's rule'.
But this folks can't discern the spirit,
All they're specialised in is lie laudries.
Decade have they been in the way,
Yet they're like ones that are astray.
They can't hear from the Holy Spirit,
Hence are tossed around by calamities.
Like an adder that swallowed a frog,
Have they been in faith like rugs:
Can't move from one place to another,
To'n'fro did diverse teaching toss them
yonder.
They always tend to be pests,
And then they in laziness rest.
Don't get in track with such folks,
Discover how your God with you talk.
Stop being a pest,
Many want to on you rest.

A Roller Disco

A three ton python in a pair of roller skates can go very quickly around a room. But scores of pelican dashes on a music sheet can dive, dip and dunk in many a styrofoam cup so all must be ordered appropriately for the wide mouths and beaks. Stationary silver backed whales can stay afloat for over ten minutes in a boat. But oats boarding a plane can only be in the air for nine minutes and twenty one seconds. For the hungry pig cloud chases the plane of oats and wishes to consume them all in giant munching sessions. Doors that are left ajar and creak should never be mistaken for speaking really. For speaking is neither specialised spillage nor satirised salted spray. So all mind the puddles of pudding when traipsing around the kitchen in a pair of high heels. Better to be barefoot then bare said a bear who was coming for some cereal. Great. How marvellous a sunset sail on a crusty bun then? Hahah a mirror standing with a diabolical diamondback digital dog. Hahahahaha sealed over moon display in a current of prawn spittle. Chatting. Xxxxx zoologists z z z z z at half an hour to the approximate time of the talon tank. Z z z z z

The Day My Life Began Again Re-Write - Moment of Truth Contest

April 29 2012 dawned, the day that could end my life or give me a fresh start. The day I was to have open heart surgery, I wasn’t afraid, in my mind I either woke up or I didn’t, not a damned thing I could do about it. Thankfully in my hospital a French surgeon specialised in the procedure I was to have. I smiled said goodbye to my family that had arrived at my bedside at 7 am to see me go down to theatre. Some 12 hours later much to the delight of a much worried team of medics I opened my eyes, this was the turning point of my life, I thought, well God you brought me through this trauma, now I have to live life as you would wish. This I believe was the point of my life when everything changed, when my life began again.

Substitute For Ice

I
had
realised
that
the
size
of
the
ice
was
nice,
but
the
price
didn't
recognise
my
sacrifice.

So,i
had
to
compromise
the
ice
for
some
rice;
to
minimise.

But
some
spies
came
to
join
Me
In
my
 rice;
promising
to
buy
some
ice
after
the
rice.
But
In
Their
eyes;
I
saw
lies.

So
i
refused
to
harmonise,
but
dey
criticised,
and
threatened
to
jeopardise,
if
i
didn't
give
dem
my
rice.

I
also
realised
that
dey
had
devised
a
wicked
device
to
my
demise
But
i
was
wise.

So
i
specialised
a
plan
and
to
their
surprise;
I
took
off
with
my
rice
for
miles;
to
get
somewhere
nice,
And
enjoy
my
rice...

Faces

The chosen one with a classified MISSION;

"At all cost" is the secretive AMBITION:

He prowls the streets with a sharp DAGGER;

An assassin with a smooth SWAGGER;

The Lion's claws concealed in gestures of KINDNESS;

He captures the victim with emotive methods of BLINDNESS;

Specialised in the art of maskin a FACE;

An agenda articulated with pure GRACE;

Known for uttering soothing WORDS;

Like the harmonic sounds of comforting BIRDS;

To the victim, "what a FRIEND";

To the gossip hungry, "a means to an END";

In realization, don't be SHAKEN;

In the end, he will be FORSAKEN;

The Truth of fact, call it LIFE;

How can one see those with a KNIFE?;

In the circle of existence, Sincerity is a BLISS

And bitter resentment most DISMISS;

In the dawn of maturity we grow WISE;

Now you've seen some have a DISGUISE;

The journey of life has surely GROWN;

All that is required is a BACKBONE;

Beware of those that STAGGER;

Call them the BACKSTABBERS.

Poetry Panorama

Poetry a divine form
A specialised art known to few
Taking the world by storm
A few lines that into a stanza grew
The poet his life blood poured
Onto the pages of experience
The pen mightier than the sword
Was shown by brilliance
The deep thought provoking poetry
Or the funny and humourous lyrics
Are felt all through history
Whether sonnet, rhyme or acrostics
The genre of poetry for eternity
Is blessed with dignity
