My Heartbeat

My heartbeat; twinkle, twinkle, like a star-
Secured up above the celestial might.
It keeps sparking its continuous light's bar...

When nothing shines upon my humble scar,
That tarry hopeful bait to luring light,
My heartbeat; twinkle, twinkle, like a star.

When the dazzling sun has gone to rest, far
The reach of warming sky, unleashing night,
It keeps sparking its continuous light's bar...

When night mocks its spark- "try cover hectare,
For running blood stream to-fro vessel's trite"
My heartbeat; twinkle, twinkle, like a star.

How pale sky hides its spark, off eyes afar...
Brings doubt to play along faithful delight,
It keeps sparking its continuous light's bar...

When no pause stops the tiny spark's radar,
It won't shut its eyes peeping to reignite!
My heartbeat; twinkle, twinkle, like a star.
It keeps sparking its continuous light's bar...

“Time waiting to be inspired is time wasted. When inspiration throttles your neck, go to your desk”- By Poet

With no cover ups, let me be frank
At times my mind goes utterly blank
When I sit down to write poems,
From topic to topic, my mind roams.

But nothing comes to spark off a rhyme
Often, I feel the words do not chime
Today I sat down to write something
And ended up conjuring nothing

No thoughts came up to stir my brain
And no topic I found save my strain
But I wasn’t wilfully ready to give up
And waited impatient for my mind to clear up

I don’t know how long I sat in meditation
On waking up I got a fresh direction
I must wait and need to be really inspired
And poems can’t be squeezed out uninspired

The sun had gone out of sight
The moon was beautiful and bright
It was already growing late
And I put off my futile fight

Words can foster friendship
Words can create enemies

Words can trigger disputes
Words can help settle them

Words can spread terrorism
Words can counter the threat

Words can launch an offensive
Words can be a defensive tool

Words can incite attacks
Words can repulse them

Words can issue commands
Words can inspire control

Words can draw up plans
Words can execute them

Words can spark off a war
Words can negotiate peace

Words are the most powerful tools
They can do anything in this world

So, choose your words carefully
And, use them sensibly…

Writers Block

Sat for hours looking at the clock,
waiting for the answer after the knock,
grounding the spark off the electric shock,
it's just another case of writers block.

Fire of Choice

Thought knocks slightly behind the eyes,
A frayed spark off soft flint flaking steel,
Careening amidst a nest of kindled emotion.
Deaf mind crooks awkwardly, blindly crooning,
Nothing but silence, the heart murmurs.

Conscience's breath gently flickers the flame,
Whipping wick crackles feigning strength.
Cranium whispering swirling sooty smoke,
As it cups the dwindling glow alighted,
Lifting, yearning for a faint, embering cloud.

Resilient fire snapped back wildly anew,
Seduction dancing, glimpses below crimson silk,
Alight on deathly, charred, knobbed splinters.
Held for a moment, past felled fodder smirks,
In anticipation of a warm pulsating embrace.

Choice overtaking will, again? Again...
Ashes of will blowing in the wind.

Nothing To Lose

When you are pushed back by your foes
When your very friends desert you,
When you have reached a dead end
And have nowhere to go;
Then spark off with a blast
That will destroy all humiliation -
And the world will behold your light;
Filled with an amazing sensation.

When your heart is destroyed
By the very ones you loved,
When you are deceived, decepted
Betrayed and bluffed;
Then show your true potential,
To the world which considered you weak
Show your amazing perseverance
Until you reach the peak.

When your road of hope is blocked
And in utter despair are you,
When your back is pushed against a wall
And you have nothing to lose,
Then clench your fists and vow;
And the world to which you were a muse,
Would be bound to respect you in every stage
For now, you have nothing to lose!
