Spare Part Poems | Examples

Premium Member Jagged Edges No More

  The jagged edges tear apart
The cornerstones of her heart
Each day, there's an emotional dart
Thrown by her counterpart
The husband's venom impart
And sadly, she's his push cart
Where seemingly, she's his spare part
That he abuses with his mouthpart
She's fallen to her knees and kick-start
Thus, a bullseye that cries for a depart
For the jagged edges will never depart
But wisely, she needs to be smart
And distance herself from his blackheart
She yearns for smooth edges and a new start
In the end, she clears off her sweetheart

Spare Parts

A reservation, a set aside
An extra part, I'm called a spare part
Who fulfills something empty
Who fulfills something lost.

Others like me are fortunate
They're not a reservation anymore
Unlike me who's fate is starred
Forever I am a spare part.

So I call on my fellow spare parts
To meet and greet
Doesn't mean we're an extra
We can't create what they just did.

Premium Member Pie Chart Chaos

When Jill was asked to create a “Pie Chart”
She believed her teacher meant a la carte
     Using a Lego set
Jill felt her goal was met
When she finished, there was not one spare part

Her project resembled a Ferris Wheel
Huge peach pie in the center of the reel
     And her passenger carts
     Were scrumptious cherry tarts
But Jill’s effort had an Achilles’ heel

She took care bringing the pie wheel to class
Some oohs and ahs her project did amass
     But the wheel in motion
     Caused quite a commotion
Pies flew to faces with a forward pass

Kids didn’t mind as they ate the remains
But most of Jill’s friends had custard for brains
     A class pie fight ensued
     And Miss Bigbutt so shrewd
Gobbled crumbs citing eminent domain

Premium Member One Awesome Heart

Fragile crystalline heart
Broken now are your parts
Thought you are that smart
You've been wrong, You're not
You are one enduring part
If shattered no spare part
Being careful a head start

One awesome soft heart
Let it go, don't depart

Iron chains of pain
Tricky trials a mundane
Don't stay long in vain
Cast away the blame
Step down to the shame
Breakfree on the frame
Soar high don't restrain

One awesome soft heart
Let it go, don't depart

Cry out loud if you must
Release all the ill huffed
Hold on thru velvety crushed
Slowly keep on don't rush
Hence, you will not get bust
Through scattered dirty dust
Soon, you will again trust

One awesome soft heart
Let it go, don't depart

The Real Me, After Too Much Reflecting-

a
spare part--
simple and plain.

Transplanting Joy

The wall clock--
Imitating minutes to hours
Of anxiousness, while
The man
Of the year
Standing around in silent wait

As my hope fades
To the unknown grave
The transporter that’ll make
His blank faced
Client sing
A new song this summer, breezes in

With a box
Of spare part gasping
In rhythmic tune, so eager
To welcome--
Its new owner, my Dad
‘Neath a silky sheet, like he’s sleeping
