Soon enough there will come a time,
When you finally have means to try.
for him
it was all about
the chase
the art
the seduction
the romance
the game
the conquest
the compulsion
soon enough
she’d have him
eating out of her hand
like a puppy

Would yesterday be much too soon
For astronaut to leave the moon?
Coyote howls though evening's chill
Starlight's too dim for daffodil
To spread much cheer along the creek
Whose pulse the dawn has yet to seek.
Don't ask his wife who feel's moon's crest
Its crescents stab reflecting breast
As she waits for the sun to rise,
Her husband's WILL flames 'cross the skies,
As atmospheric blindfolds sear,
Their ash a sign that he draws near.
Let future poets leave the earth,
Though hallowed cradle of our birth,
Explore the dreams God lets us see,
In voiceless space plant empathy,
Like astronauts explore God's soul,
By Love's intentions be made whole.

Soon enough my days will be drear
Soon enough death will hover near
Soon enough joy will bow to fear
Soon enough the unwanted tear
Don’t begrudge me these happy days
When all is right, heart full praise
When I dance in euphoric craze
When path seems clear and not a maze
Soon enough happy eyes will weep
Soon enough dread will round me creep
Soon enough bile in me will seep
Soon enough I’ll sink in too deep
For now please let me dance and sing
Let me soar high on eagle wing
Let love songs joy to my heart bring
Let sweet dreams sooth this awful sting
Soon enough pain will close the door
Soon enough eyes will smile no more
Soon enough I'll ask what life's for
Soon enough pain will be in store
Please let me love…laugh… sing…and dance
Soon enough, dear, I’ll lose this chance.

Jail
Prison
Gets me down
Sometimes I vent!
Now I'm in solitary confinement.
Doing time for something I did not do.
Will be home soon.
Patience counts
Concern
Time
Love
Need it.
Physical
Heart emotions.
Freedom and love will find me very soon!

Waiters
We get worn down
Misery begins to settle
Upon our mental anguish
Back and forth
The errands never end
It’s another language
No worries,
For I will be gone before long
Society
Seems to be nothing more
Than a practical down pour
Let us change our stars
Our path throughout misery
Shall we get there?
Be plagued on to remember who we are
No worries
For I shall be gone soon enough
The sleep
We never seem to be
Fortunate enough to grasp
The rain that falls
The tears we spare
To be upheld to nothing more
Then a few later laughs
No worries
Before long, I shall be gone
